actually doing this with my betty as well as hot racing shocks, i found one thing that should be noted maybe as a pinned comment, if you are using the stock receiver you will need an extension cable to reach from the back to the front as the stock cable is too short to reach all the way, also with the betty and the deadbolt youll need a different rear mount for the body, because the full plate on them is in the way of full flex with the servo
I made a bunch of parts for my scx24 to get a Revell 76 chevy body onto it with a full interior. People put a ton of time into these little trucks and it's always cool to see what else can be done with this platform.
I have GOT to do this just as soon as I get my metal Hot Racing Steering Linkage. I've got an extra plastic front axle case and set of stock front axles from swapping out for the +4 offset axles and for the metal axles front and rear. I even have two extra Emax servos, the metal servo mount and still kept the stock servo mount; April 23rd I'm GONNA DO THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I cannot wait. So I'll get the +4 offset axles at rear and the stock axles at front, Sawwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

@@poppygoatshomestead Thanks. I had some anxiety about the cutting on the chassis I'm planning to do, but I looked up a new one and with those prices. haha let's go.
@@poppygoatshomestead all finished with the rear steer and it's super awesome! Did it a bit differently and realized cutting the chassis to shorten the body was useless as the steering linkage now hits first. If you want to see it check it my Instagram. @vorgto

Although I have been watching your videos off and on for some time I finally pulled the trigger and bought an RC. Just two weeks before having spinal fusion surgery. I haven't even got the thing dirty yet. I ended up getting an Axial Wraith Spawn knowing there are possibly better rigs available but I've wanted one since I first saw your first few videos on it when you first got it. Yes I've been putting it off for that long😲. Life, ya know. Besides, it fit the budget and the local hobby store had one in the shelf. So as I sit at home recovering from surgery, I've been binge watching about RC trail trucks and crawlers and one thing I keep thinking about is rear steer because, let's face it, the turning radius of the Spawn sucks. This little video has taken some of the mystery out of the process for me. Thank you. Also, glad to see your health improving (been keeping up on that as well, I certainly can relate) keep up the good work.

I added rear steer to my Betty with the emax servos, using stock controller. Question how can I get rear axle to track straight in neutral position? No matter what I do I can't get it perfectly straight
That’s the issue with running 4ws on the stock setup. It’s easy but it sucks. If you swap to a better receiver then you can adjust the trim on the radio. There are also 4ws controllers (basically a little switch) you can install that gives all 4ws modes and makes it proprietary instead of full left, full right only. Much better than the stock setup. I did a vid on how to easily 4ws any scx24 that covers it. I don’t know why anyone would use the stock setup like this. It’s horrible. I think he just wanted to show everyone they could do it for really cheap and easy but it’s not very useful imo
I done this on my 1:10 Rc when I was a complete novice, instead of plugging my rear steering servo into the aux, I just hooked up the wires the the front servo wires and boom you have proportional steering, downside to this method is that you can’t turn off 4ws.
