I was about to shout "put the bearing in the freezer and hit the recess with a heat gun!" but then josh said he put it in the freezer so i won't do that now. :P
How exciting !!! Great work guys !!! It will be practically new when it's done.... Josh is cool and collected but im wondering if he's anxious about getting it finished and driving it home that first day....
If you use a metal plate (1/4 inch) with holes drilled to match the flywheel holes then you can use studs in the holes and nuts on the plate, tighten the nuts to "pull" the pilot bearing into the recess after you have positioned it, no need to whack it with any tools, this will also prolong the life of the bearing
Loving your work chaps! What would be a ball park figure /budget for doing this level of works ? All parts, labour etc My F430 is in the UK, if money was no object I would be sending you my car 100%. Can’t wait to hear this exhaust!
Hey Dan, question,,I have a 2000 360,,radiator hose blew , and I replaced it and re flushed and filled the coolant..bleed the system on a angel to get the air out w the heater on..runs great but now, in stop and go traffic it gets hot about 220…any thoughts ..going to take it in to ferarri of Beverly Hills..but as you know they will rape me…lol
You may still have air in your system, possibly a defective thermostat, a clogged radiator, a radiator fan that is not coming on, or a water pump that is not working efficiently (needs replaced).
God I love my parts and tools from Hill.
Their spacers and wheel bolts are amazing.
Yes indeed!

Yup
Think need to do it on my Maserati Granturismo S too but im living in Germany. Did you sent the parts to Germany too?
Ask GTE engineering
wow that's looking so great Dan and Josh
Thank you

I don't think he's anxious in that way, I think he's ready to drive it!
That is really coming together well 👍
Yes sir

That's a good idea
excellent suggestion!

I'm guessing probably $35k-40k
Awesome thank you 🙏
That car will be great when it's completed. What torque wrench do you guys use?
Gearwrench
You found a paint pen that actually works. Every one I buy leaks or doesn't paint. No in between. Which fine chinesium paint pen did you procure?
I don't know the brand, it was on Amazon
Love the “not for sale” sign lol. Is there one on the 356 😁
We don't have a 356
Could you guys please give us the ft lbs as well as the meter read. You do it sometimes but not always. Thanks
Google my friend
Exhaust? You don’t need no stinkin’ exhaust! But ya do need “MAGIC LUBE” for bearing installations….
Lol yes
4:58 OMG 😳 Dan be safe
Ok
very funny "when companies don't do stuff that we don't like" 3:35 ... just funning you guys... i had to rewind that to listen again :)
Yup
When you smell a clutch burning I assume it smells so bad because of the organic component,or am I wrong?
That could be it
Does this clutch also fit the maserati 4200 and gransport?
I don't know
? When did Josh get a 430? I’ve missed too many videos.
🤣
He's had this a few months now
Shouldn't leave wheels (or anything else) scattered on the floor. Stack them against the wall.
Yeah
good stuff boys
Thanks
have you built your Arc ?
ARC?

Yeah there's a lot of possibilities. I would try using a vacuum coolant adder
@@normalguysupercar yea,,that’s my next move…just hope it isn’t anything bigger…..lol,,,thanks Dane…you guys rock…
I've always hated removing and installing the pilot bearing/bushing when doing a clutch. Worst part of the job IMO.
It is a bit annoying and in this case it was really annoying when it chipped
What torque wrench were you guys using
Gearwrench
As he said
The "Not For Sale" sign, stupid rules have even made it to Tejas. 😝
Yup
I want to know what the nefarious activities actually were!
Getting pulled over
Hey, is it for sale?😂
Not yet
@@normalguysupercar How about now?
Is it for sale? Just kidding.
