Sad news this morning.. thanks for mentioning it here. He was one of the 'NoLans' ( New Orleans) greats.
I didn't know. When I was 5, and got my first record player, my dad gave a stack of his old records, and that was one my favorites.

I have a 64 P-bass all original purchased 1970, third owner. Have played thousands of gigs. It’s the best. Nice to hear a bass player actually play bass and lay down a groove with a nice tone. Good demo. What are you asking for her?

I liked this version on thumpin Thursday more, this way you can actually hear what the bass sounds like in a song verses the no offense one man band. Really cool video guys!

Thursday has its thump back. That particular '60 has a very nice tone.
P.S. this is a very good idea it gives a bassist an excellent idea of how that bass will actually sound when used. Masterbassing is, after all, only masterbassing.
