No fair! Now you can sell it because Rudy S played it! And he’s right - bass has ALWAYS been cool - and he’s one of the reasons! Nice move to bring in a ringer!
Man, I’m 50 and as far back as me listening to music Rudy has been a prominent player. He’s such a class act and I love listening to him play and talk. I’m I guitarist but any time I listen to him I learn something. Such a cool guy
Now that's how you introduce a bass. A legend in my book Mr. Rudy sarzo. I'm sure he's influenced many bassist. Thanks Mr. Sarzo for being so passionate for the precision bass fender rules.
Rudy Sarzo is the real deal. The authenticity oozes from this guy. Such a great vibe and spirit, it’s no wonder he’s been called upon so many times throughout his career to play with the best of the best.
There is no substitute for enthusiasm. When Rudy first picked up this gorgeous bass and curled those fingers into his playing position, you could see the passion in his eyes. One of the best, if not The Best bass show and tell done on GOTD. Mr. Sarzo would be a welcomed guest for a Thumpin Anyday, at Norman's Rare Guitars!!

So good to see a musician really explain and perform the instrument. Best Guitar of the Day for April!! Good job guys!!!
Rudy!! Yes! I love this dude! Such a genuine guy and has played with some of the best rock artists of a golden era in music. Also just a straight up bass monster!
This proves that, at the end of the day, we are all 13 years old kids on the inside - what a great enthusiatsic presentation of an incredible instrument.
I always have been a fan of Rudy's tremendous talent playing the base, but I am an even a bigger fan of the person. To have all that success and stay such a down to earth person is incredible!
Great to see Rudy here, sorta on the fly, so to speak. He was very knowlegable. I also love his bit on playing 'unplugged' first. after all this time, i'd never plug in unless it was serious (buying mode). my '75 Strat i bought with out ever plugging it in. Like SRV said 'i just knew'.
Rudy was refreshing. This was the first time I have really enjoyed Thumpin' Thursday. I appreciate accomplished professionals and their take on things and issues. I value their input. I got more out of this one video than the 30 or so Bass GOTDs that preceded it! Thanks folks!
Now that is a bass review. Players like Rudy know the instrument and can put across that knowledge and show the enthusiasm for their craft. More of this on Thumping Thursday please!
Any other bassists on here smiling from ear-to-eat? These last two Thumpin’ Thursdays have had me so happy. I’m so proud to play bass! Please, keep bringing on legends like Rudy!

Worst ever. Enough with the guest hosts. Give them separate bits if you must as you've always done, but this isn't GotD worthy.
Admiral you must have watched a different video. LOL
mark hated bass guitars. So how do you figure this isn't guitar of the day Worthy.
@@guitarocd9984 Because my ears work?
