His enthusiasm alone makes me want to buy that bass cuz I don't have the money or any idea how to play it
Real nice guy with a real nice Bass.
Tell me something good.
Lasagna with red wine.
I Wanna Rock With You by Michael Jackson is one of the greatest bass tracks in music history, Bobby Watson is a legend
Alright. This is my favourite guest host episode ever. Damn, that's what bass playing is.
Mr. Watson you sir are a class act and an inspiration to all aspiring Bass players. Absolutely fantastic
my favorite bass player yet on thumping thursday. we need more of him!
Yep, lets have Bobby on again.
Sorry edibles... you’ve been schooled.
Nice to see this. I guess both you guys knew my old friend Marlo Henderson. We hung from way back in the Denver days. Great to see you Bobby!
Norm, Bobby is your bass man from now on for thumping Thursday.
Bobby Watson seems like a really nice guy, like the current host Michael Lemo. Bringing in a person who can really play the instrument is a great idea. So much better than "Mr. Authentic," who used to just make snarky comments about the bass and bass players.
Who was Mr authentic?
Love it. He just turned into a little boy. Lovely bass!
Best Thumping Thursday I've seen thus far, HANDS DOWN!
One of the most underrated bassist on the planet! Why he never made the cover of Bassplayer Magazine beats me!
That word underrated pops up all the time. He has worked with Rufus and Quincy Jones. Yet you say he's underrated because he wasn't on the cover of some magazine.
He should be our #ThumpinThursday guest everytime
That was really cool.
Bobby Watson and Robin Duhe are my favorite bass players (and of my two favorite groups) of ALL TIME! No one grooves like them.
Love how he asked the price :-)
Bobby pointed out the hootenanny strap button on the back of the headstock. Awesome!
Always loved his playing.. now that I see him "in person" I admire him even more.. he looks like an all around fantastic guy to hang out with! A great bass for a great bassist!
Nothing better than watching artists in their element. Outstanding!
Idk why but his bass playing is so compelling. So refreshing.
The real experts always make it look easy, am I right?
So cool--bobby sounds a little like hendrix when he sings. GREAT episode, starring a sweetheart bass and a first class bassist. Thank you.
Bobby’s reaction is all of us when they pull out the guitar every day 😂
Nice bass...even still has the hootenanny button. :-)
Fantastic Thumpin’ Thursday!
Best episode of thumpin ever
Down to earth,
Bob
I hope they'll be back, that was great!
I also hope he went home with that bass.
Wow! Bobby Watson on You Tube doing what he does best - playing that bass!
Finally! That’s the way you show off a bass! Solo and accompanied
Norm, its time to give Mr Watson a regular thursday gig.
Okay, best thumpin' Thursday EVER.
Really enjoyed this episode! I like it when you bring in some real pros who are really excited about the instrument being featured.
That bass... Through most of this video, watching it, I just kept saying to myself under my breath '63 or 1963 in something like disbelief. Amazing bass in amazing condition, better condition than I'm in and I left mother's factory in early January of '68.
P.S. That's too clean for Fender Custom Shop. //Revisiting this video a year later.
I’ve always dug Rufus, so it makes sense that a guy like Bobby is their bass player! Greatest people come through the doors at Norms!
One of my ALL TIME FAVORITES. Mr Watson 💪🏾
Some player and what a nice natural guy. I'd buy his hit medley!
Really sweet 63 sunburnt P. Rufus gets down with the funk! Nice 335 alpine custom.best tt yet.
Awesome Bass, great playing Bobby
Wow...first tony maiden....now bobby watson....incredible...👏👏👏👏👏
A real professional bass player👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
Bass is great. Seeing Bobby Watson here is cool, too.
I remember trying to stay awake for every DK's Rock Concert or MidNight Special. Missed some but DID see Rufus before Tell Me Something Good blew up on one or the other.
heck, crowd including me chuckled at Chaka's wardrobe choice and the band, too, That all stopped as soon as they played. Ruled !!
Lived for those shows!
Thank you folks, this was a real treat!🎧❤️
this guy really knows how to play a bass
Wow what a treat
100% Dream bass right there.
Bobby is the greatest, great show today.
Great vibes! Put a smile on my face
That was fun.
Dude, Bobby’s a baller, he should do more basses!
Cool Cats, cool bass. I'm just a sucker for the three tone sunburst. Thanks to everyone at Norms !
Lovin the genuine excitement about that badass bass ,,,,nice demo Fellas !
One of the BEST Guitar of the day
Hands down!!! 🎸💚
What a treat Norm. Thank you!
Dig having a real bassest do bass of the week...
Amazing. Wonderful.
This is AWESOME!
i want bobby to live next door.
Wow! Great show.
Oozes class and musicianship! Fantastic!
Great sounding bass and a fabulous demo.
I’m not even a bass player and now want to buy that bass😂😂😂
Doesn't get any better than this! talk bout Talent...whoa.
What an amazing tone. In the hands of a master right enough 😎
That was sweet, and I'll be looking for that cd!!
Really enjoyed this, great playing and wonderful vibes.
That Bass is a thing of pure beauty....
my favorite episode so far. chill vibes B).
As a fellow Watson I approve
Perfect slap tone
This place is far better than any guitar center
Bobby Watson's bass lines on Rod Temperton song revordrd by Michael Jackson Rock with you, are simoly amazing.
Love the guest format!
*What a legend!*

Hell yeah that was great. Norm is cool and he sure has a lot of buddies. lol Always liked Norm just not some of the guys who work or worked for him. ;) Love Lemmo though. Good guy!
That guy is funny. Good player too
love fender
Boogaloo Down Broadway...!!!
Sweet
This is the best Thumpin Thursday I have ever seen! Please get me professional basis in for Thumpin Thursday - - that should be a prerequisite to determine whether or not you actually are doing one! And I don't even like Thumpin Thursday normally!
love Todd's bass playing too
Long live thumping Thursday!
Bobby Watson is the bass player from Rufus featuring Chaka Khan.
That's some serious credentials. I hope they bring him back for more Thursdays.
Also played for Michael Jackson.
nice guy
