I don’t understand the ridiculous criticism for the soundtracks. I think it’s solid. I’m also afraid that if people keep trashing this game, we’ll never get a Western release. (An exaggeration I know.)
I'm not worried about that; we haven't missed an Ys game since Ys V on the SNES, and they've only been getting more popular since then, so I'm sure we'll get Ys IX. But it sure is weird how the Singa haters have to show up and take a dump any time his name is mentioned.
Not much of a "banger," imo. I'm not familiar with this Singa guy, but this track just sounds like a standard reiteration of the perennial Falcom battle theme, rather than a particularly powerful or memorable take on the style. It's not bad, but it's not great either; it's just "fine." However, the fact that someone doxx'd this guy just because they didn't like his music is so disgusting I almost find it hard to believe. I worry that in another decade the basic civility that we've lost because of the internet will be impossible to retrieve, with kids growing up in a world where they never even get to experience the baseline of people having simple respect for one another.
Thank you for this. We need more comments like that to spread awareness regarding doxxing on Internet. I can't stand that kind of behavior either, people NEED to show more respect to one another, and especially online since it's so easy calling people names when hiding behind a screen and a pseudonym.
@@AokiKatsumata You're exactly right! I think it's the lack of real personal interaction, the lack of shared space and tone of voice and eye contact, that makes people act in this way. I think when you're capable of imagining that the person you're interacting with is a real person, and capable of feeling how they would feel, it keeps this kind of behavior at bay. But many people increasingly seem to be unable to use their imaginations in that way. The only thing to do in response to this is to push back, and strongly. People who can't use the internet with empathy should be forcibly expelled from it.
@@Margatroid Totally true. Internet is no real life, you don't get to see the others, see their reaction, feel their emotions or their intentions; so it's as though they're less "real" in your eyes, and that's when things start to go bad. Maybe also the fact of others not appearing "real" makes it difficult to trust one another, and trust is essential to maintain a climate of peace and respect.
@@AokiKatsumata That's a really good point about trust, and I had never thought about that specifically in relation to all of this. It's very true that when people feel they cannot trust others, they become defensive and often hostile. I have thought before that many people seem to not have many real friends these days, specifically because their allegiances lie more with the mass-mind online than with their actual in-person friendships, and they're more concerned with "what they think the internet will think" than are with attending to those real individual relationships. I had one "friend" who was very much this way, who I couldn't talk about anything controversial with because he would freak out, obviously imagining that somehow his participation in a "non-PC" conversation would be revealed on the internet somehow. I am not friends with him any more, and I think the main reason is that I never felt like he trusted me, so I did not trust him. In contrast, I've had close internet friends who I trusted with secrets about myself that I wouldn't tell anyone else, even my family. But those friendships existed mostly before the advent of social media.
Hmmm...as an ArcSystem Works fan, I think I'm slowly starting to understand why people don't like Singa. He's not actually *bad*, but it's like they threw BlazBlue CP/CF songs into Guilty Gear.

AkumetsuLord People are complaining for the sen iv op, just for the rap segment, those people are stupid.
I don’t understand the ridiculous criticism for the soundtracks. I think it’s solid. I’m also afraid that if people keep trashing this game, we’ll never get a Western release. (An exaggeration I know.)
Time to learn Japanese to avoid all those problems!
I'm not worried about that; we haven't missed an Ys game since Ys V on the SNES, and they've only been getting more popular since then, so I'm sure we'll get Ys IX.
But it sure is weird how the Singa haters have to show up and take a dump any time his name is mentioned.
@@minneyar42 blame Vin for that.
@@DivineHyperion
Who's Vin?
Is this even out?
It's out in Japan.

if only every track of singa was actually trying like this one....
I feel like calm rock really fits his style
Step Ahead from CS3 was good too! But still awaiting localization so you're going to have to be patient
Not much of a "banger," imo. I'm not familiar with this Singa guy, but this track just sounds like a standard reiteration of the perennial Falcom battle theme, rather than a particularly powerful or memorable take on the style. It's not bad, but it's not great either; it's just "fine."
However, the fact that someone doxx'd this guy just because they didn't like his music is so disgusting I almost find it hard to believe.
Respect is becoming more uncommon on the internet as more people act “toxic” toward others. It’s just disappointing to see.
More stuff like this, less garbage like Sky Singa.
Hmmm...as an ArcSystem Works fan, I think I'm slowly starting to understand why people don't like Singa. He's not actually *bad*, but it's like they threw BlazBlue CP/CF songs into Guilty Gear.
Pretty much this (tho there are a few Singa tracks I don't like at all lol)
