I just beaten the final boss today. Got the final hit at 3:13 and it synced with the cutscene quite well. Phenomenal game with a phenomenal final boss. Me likey
It's a rare treat to get a song that matches the energy of a boss fight this perfectly. It genuinely felt like every big attack, every parry, every cinematic, EVERYTHING was in sync with the music. Everybody involved in this fight is having an absolute blast. If that vibe could be condensed into musical form.. this is it.
The sheer difference in soul between this and final boss 1. I hope Kugochi gets more involvement in future works, he's so incredibly talented and versatile.
@NaNoRarh I wouldn't say it was "too easy" I played on Nightmare and some bosses and normal enemies were definitely a pain in the ass. The guard is indeed a bit too OP, but there is gameplay incentive not to abuse it, the guard can break and you'll be wide open for a small window, there are some moves that will kill you if they break your guard but there aren't many of them but you'll want to parry attacks by guarding at the right time because that'll fill your Revenge gauge a lot more which strengthens your Combi Skills and in the case of some attacks will trigger a special counterattack cutscenes which is really cool and some attacks can't be blocked if one of your characters is dead. In short: guard IS strong, but balanced enough to make the player not want to abuse it.
@@TheVirginMeri once I got the timing of the parry even the optional boss was easy, even 10~15 below where I should be to fight him, if they're gonna stick to this mechanic they could put something to prevent abuse

I am extremely happy with this piece and have been listening on repeat but I have no problems with outsourcing the final boss themes if it means we get more Jindo
I think this is in my top 10 from Koguchi and my fav from him I've heard in these RIPs so far (edit: now it's definitely my fav Koguchi in this OST and 3rd fav overall song on the OST). it's like Buster the Ghost of Garden but more whimsical in a way that just works
I'm so glad Koguchi got to make a final boss theme! It's filled with the vitality and resolution of a final battle. Also, I can hear the Osaki-esque parts a couple of people brought up. It's closer to Koguchi's style and has a different kind of effervescence compared to Osaki's, but I can stil notice it. Great work from Koguchi, I hope I get to listen to more music like this from him in the future! 😍 On a side note, I wish Osaki was still around these days, I'm a really big fan of his music.

Probably my favourite Koguchi song to feature a guitar tbh. Don't know the final boss context or whatever because I don't care enough to look it up but the song definitely gives that feeling of hope and encouragement. All-round a great song, thanks Koguchi
Beat them 1st try on Inferno but bruh... I'm so glad I saved all the potions the game gives you throughout the story, 2 people going apeshit at you at all time, that can literally 1shot you is both Fun and horrible 🙃
I mean Falcom has been doing stuff like that since trails in the sky with silver will playing as the final boss theme and the newest trails games have the opening theme as the last phase of the final boss.@@SenseiMasterShikikan-sama
It's not bad, it's good really, and certainly much better than the Shimomura-at-home of Final Boss 1... but it still feels kinda underwhelming as a final boss theme to me. Maybe it will work better in-game I guess.
Yeah nah, Falcom has ruined its music usage completely, so don't get your hopes up. Enjoy the track as it is and completely separate it from its context, I guess. We're better off doing that from now on lol

爽快感があって良き。ここ最近のイースのラスボス戦(Ⅷははじまりの命ではなくエンドログラムの方)のボスタワーのような重厚感があるBGMでは無いが,アドルとカージャの冒険のラストとしてはこの爽やかさは大正解。
イースシリーズからまたもや神曲爆誕…ラスボス演出も相まって8のAtoZと肩を並べるくらいのクオリティですわ

片や自分の子孫でノーマンのカージャ。
片やノーマンでも無い少年剣士アドル。ロロが唯一認めた最高の若き盾の兄弟だからこそのセリフだし、ロロ的にはアドルと云う人物のその瞳と心根と真っ直ぐさに惹かれていたからこそもあるだろうなぁ〜と思った。それがこの曲のスピード感と力強さ、途中の優しいメロディーにも散りばめられているから更に神曲に昇華されてる。やはりイースの曲は良いなぁ~

I love how Rollo is restraining himself all throughout the fight and not giving in to the malice that he absorbed.
