Can’t wait for ys 10 to get released. Tho a bit sad that ys 10 is not about his next adventure but his past adventure instead.
Simply a masterpiece, Jindo delivers as always. Love the organs playing in the background. The guitar and violin alternating in the melodies are a nice touch. Iconic track.
Probably my favorite track in the game, such a masterpiece. The instrumentation is incredible, the melodies are beautiful and exciting, and the guitar solo is insane. I love Jindo's music so much.
Fast forward 7 months and yeah, I love Falcom so much, I think Ys IX is my favourite game of all time, on par with Cold Steel 3, now on 4 after finishing the Sky and Crossbell games, so good
I just got into Falcom and yeah, they're quality. I couldn't play Trails because it felt like too much spamming X (so much dialogue lol) but I'm watching it instead and enjoying it live a tv show. But Ys? Fantastic gameplay, even Origins is pretty fun

Sky's pacing was killing me plus I didn't even know the games had Turbo Mode (and I got drilled into my head to talk to every single npc from other fans telling me to) but don't worry, I eventually got Cold Steel 1 on sale to give the series another try and absolutely loved it. It had better pacing imo, plus all the quality of life features I'd want (like fast travel and actual maps). Got obsessed and immediately bought CS2. By the time I beat those 2 I was already invested in the universe so I got the entire Sky trilogy and the rest of CS. I've beaten them already, except for CS4. Now I'm patiently awaiting Zero and Azure (I already watched a summary of em before playing CS3).
I wont lie, this song genuinely feels like something out of like Oath In Fhelghana or Late game Ark of Napishtim. It has a very classic Ys feel even if it uses a lot of instruments those games wouldn't. Infact...I'd go as far to say...Ys 9 is very Classic Ys in terms of its setting and how fleshed out it is.
As if the gameplay for these games weren't good enough, then they hit you with a soundtrack of easily the greatest music ever composed. God I love this game.
If I remember correctly, working on this one track took Jindo an entire month. It shows, too. This is incredible! Also, isn't this the last time Nagano and Teramae performed together in the same track in a game soundtrack? o7 to the GOATs
Perfection in every way possible. Composition, instrumentation, mixing. The part at 0:54 also reminds me of my favourite SAV by Jindo, "Don''t be defeated by a Friend".
Even if Singa can compose a good song or two, removing him entirely will be a net positive. With Jindo and Unisuga handling battle tracks and Sonoda handling more thematic tracks, they pretty much don't need other composers.

Problem is that he is the arranger for most (or all, I'm not sure) tracks for Falcom games since Kiseki 3. Which, given his guitar tuning and WASTING YOUR GUITAR GOD DEMETORI, is pretty terrible. I understand having him around even just to make more music, but giving him of all people arrangement control? Seriously, Tokunan knows how to arrange metal, and I don't think he'll ask a lot for pay.
This song, along with Lost In Green and Nameless Coast from Ys 8, will be etched into my heart from now until the day I croak. I can honestly say that Ys is giving Tales, my all-time favorite rpg series, some serious fucking competition. And I cannot WAIT until I start up on Cold Steel
I prefer ys gameplay than tales of...more fast action and fantastic level design..a falcom game with the budget and graphic at the same level of tales of arise would be a masterpiece. Lacrimosa of dana probably is my favourite action rpg ever.

Please excuse me while I fawn over the violin ahem THE VIOLIN IS PERFECT. From the perfect slurs to the melody in the high pitched notes, this is perfect. The way it blends in with the rest of the song is extraordinary with the cut out right before the main beatdrop. The only thing I've seen at this level are some songs from a youtuber named itsamoney, and from Ferrys theme from granblue fantasy. The only thing thatd make it better is if they had a leitmotif for another song (maybe norse wind?) at the last beat drop. Maybe playing the beat drop of that song during the final beat drop.
