Jindo does it again, this is so good
DAMN THAT ORGAN AND THE GUITAR FEELS LIKE THIS SONG WAS TAILOR MADE JUST FOR ME
This version is so good it literally brought tears to my eyes
your not lying as soon as i heard the violins i was in instant tears this is such an amazing masterpiece
Violin with Gens d’Armes?? It works so so well omg
Absolutely godlike arrangement! The perfect example as to why Violins and Electric guitars are a match made in heaven.
世界で一番カッコいい登山の曲 を 宇宙で一番カッコいい登山の曲 にアレンジしてくるとは…
I couldn't have said it better myself!
22 years playing and enjoying Ys saga and still it don't cease to amuse me!!!!
I think you mean amaze. Haha.
@@gdtoob Yeah, english is not my native language, hahaha.
God damn the musicians fucking KILLED it. Stellar performance and strong mixing to keep it that way.
That extended intro with the keyboard right before the first 8 bars of the original brings this song to new heights.
Unisuga composition + Jindo arrangement = Total perfection.
Guitar: Masaru Teramae
My godddddd. My guitar idol.
Original already great but it become super great now.
Hopefully we see him more in the ys ix arrangements
If only there were more videos of him playing guitar.
Fr
@@sgadol7666 he's already on the OST
He KILLED it. Super clean playing, super clean tone. That's how you know your guitarist is a pro. Extra effects can be used to hide bad playing, playing with clean tone requires technique and confidence and he destroyed it
This song makes me feel like the situation is desperate but you still have to go on, and the farther you go, things go worse but you still don't give up.
This is my JAM
ATTENTION YS GAMERS
Aboveup Oh shit! Loved your reaction to Paige and Pat's bee discussion on twitter :D
And JDK team is BREAD

0:09 You know you're in for a treat when this hits.
Epic fight with violins rock n roll. This feel so castlevania-like. I love it.
It's amazing and then it hits 0:44 and I'm just in awe of the guitarist. It makes me do air guitar literally every time.
Masaru Teramae, aka Demetori, he's the best
The best super ultimate. Thanks Jindo and his pals for this legendary arrangement.
That 2nd half...good lord that's awesome.
omg!! the second half of guitar....wait, why am I tearing up? This arrange is so hot!!!!
Damn. That guitar lol.
Hell all the instruments in this song is insane.
I never played the game but what a magnificent arrangement. Intro sounds like Ken's theme on steroids then at 0:17 Castlevania begins then at 0:45 Handel's Passacaglia begins then transitions and mixing between them and then it goes on full Blazblue mode at 1:46 and then we have Ken's theme again with those Castlevania minor harmonics at 2:15 and THEN at 2:22 we have awesome apocalyptic chromatic phrygian minor solo with Megaman X rhythm and synth...anyway this is too good
play it godammit !!
Cool that you noticed that. The take the transition chords out of the intro of Ken’s theme and you end up with (mostly) the exact same chord progression as Gens D’Armes’ intro. Exactly one chord is different between the two.
Old Falcom instruments plus the new ones make great soundtrack, good job.
WHOA wait, Masaru Teramae is the guitarist here?! Hot damn, yeah! :D!
Man I hope hes back for good. I was really sad when he left.
the 2nd half of this pops off, holy crap
やばいくらいテンション上がるわ
the version that explain the journey of gendarme mountain in ys 8 where the mc and his companion must face the hardest challenge to exceed their limit.😁😁😁😁
According to Ys 3, ys3 was Adol's greatest challenge of his life ;p
eargasms on the game versions, but these versions? these flushed out all the gasm fluids through every hole in my body.
Outstanding arrangement, masterfully extracted the elements from the original to create an epic and bombastic track. Love the live instruments, the keyboard solo is amazing.
This is just insane
best song gets best arrange
Best song is Stepping into the Unknown my guy. 🤔🤔🤔

Bruh what ? There's a super ultimate version of these songs too ?
I'm gonna say here what I've already said in the game version's video but more people need to know this:
You known what's crazy ? Starting from 1:46 the main chorus has the tempo of the main theme in a thrash metal version, evident by that little tune to end the main theme in 2:12. If you heard the main theme many times, you'll know that little tune plays in the end of the main chorus to close it off. To add more to what I said, things got even hyper when this chorus came back 1 last time at 3:26 with the violin. They started getting you hyped up with some little improvisations and right when you're hyped up, it goes full improvisation with the shred starting 3:56 where it's different from the main chorus but still sounds familiar and insanely good, like it belongs to the track before finishing it off with the main chorus... this is peak progressive thrash metal. I never thought gajeel's theme from fairy tale could never be topped but now this shit is the new world heavyweight thrash metal champion
Holy crap, the second half is a pure shred fest. Reminds me a bit of "Last Moment of the Dark" on the Ys Zanmai album with tha organs, This is awesome. I'm not always a fan of mindless shredding on guitar, but damn was it good! The guitar player is mad talented, and it sounds great with the violin. Probably one of the best tracks of the OST, and they made justice to it, sadly the same can't be said for Sunshine Coastline.
I think the vocal version of "Sunshine Coastline", called "Eternal Sunshine" on this one, is really great. But yeah, the arranged instrumental version of it on this album isn't nearly as good as the OST version. I don't hate it, but it's hard to improve on perfection.
@@ChrisPorterMusic Well said. It's hard to improve on perfection
By far the greatest dungeon theme of all time FIGHT ME!!!!!!!!!
spiral of erebos
Violin will always be my favorite instrument cuz of shit like this. Anyone who hates on Violin is just incapable of ever knowing greatness.
no one hates on violin
@@d343-y no one likes it either until absolute bangers like these show up
Average synth fan vs the violin enjoyer

This is peak power metal, with a little bit of prog-rock influence
I wanna hear the Super Ultimate version of A Footprint In The Wet Sand....
Thanks Osu for let me know this music
사랑해요 JDK~!
I was on the fence about liking the original track because there was way too much going on and it just blended together messily, but this seems to have remedied that and I can fully appreciate all the instruments. Second half is beyond hype, too.
So good
SOOO many HYPEE
How to make already perfect music piece even hyper and more awesome? HOLY SHIET ITS TOO MUCH AWESOMENESS!
Holy shit dat violin is so goooooooooood

I wonder what Masaru Teramae is doing now, since this Guitarist isn't doing Falcom music anymore?
wdym? teramae still at jdk band
@@xyzee182 don't remember seeing him at the 40th anniversary so I'm pretty sure he isn't there anymore and only comes when Jindo essentially calls for him
might be a late answer but he does contractor work and somtimes makes more touhou cover under the name demetori with his brother i believe

Haha c'est marrant qu'ils aient choisis d'appeler ca "gendarmes" quand meme
Oui je sais pas trop pourquoi on voit des titres en français des fois au pif.
Who the HELL disliked this.
Come out here you cowards.
Prefer the original version. The guitar is a bit too weak in the mix which in turn weakens the best part of the song, the transition when the faster paced part ends (here at 1:00 - the transition is almost not present here compared to the original). Interesting to hear a violin now... I still like the arrangement. I'm sure it will grow on me over time.
I definitely feel your gripe about the guitar not being strong enough. One of the reasons why Unisuga's so good is through his masterful manipulation of background instruments (Mainly the guitar bass section) [You can feel this the most in Brave Steel & Sunshine coastline]
Too much mindless shredding and wankery between 2:23 and 3:25, but fantastic rendition otherwise.
Nice but the original is better ;)
