The build-ups to Falcoms songs are always sooooo gooood! It's undeniable that Singa has immensely steeped up his game for Ys IX , I'm continuously being impressed with how awesome his songs are. Falcom jdk gotta be one of the most underrated composers out there. Not a lot of people recognize them, but the ones who do, they know how rad and great their music is. Have I mentioned how they're the gods when it comes to doing reverbs?? lol, just listen to this one.
I remember just sitting for the first 30 mins just listening to this then walked my way through the dungeon 🥲 such a good game with a good soundtrack as all the other ys games
This is probably my favorite out of him so far. It has such a chilling and melodic atmosphere, without losing any power and energy. Also, best girl right there.
Honestly, it usually comes down to people not liking what he does for most songs (say, Troublemaker or Welcome to Chaos. pretty good but he makes some weird choices) But when he really tries, its very noticeable (this, Evan Macha or Lacrima Crisis for example) and it really does hit hard. I don't really always like the majority of game OSTs in terms of listening to them outside of the game, but since I started with Falcom there's only been maybe one or two games like that, and even then the OST isn't that bad. I just sometimes prefer the music while I'm actually playing haha. Just beat this game last night and I have to say there wasn't one song I didn't really like, only that I didn't like that Singa did some repeats in a few songs instead of like, adding more to them. Evan Macha repeats a lot of the main beat and the guitar, but there's other stuff going on, for example.
Yeah, it's undeniable that Singa stepped up his game for Ys IX. I'm seriously impressed by how great his songs have been in this game. This one is elegant, restrained in a good way. I love the reverb.
@@AA-dv4jn ok but he made iclucian dance and that's by far 9ne of his most beloved songs. No guitar there and it's one of the cleanest sounding pieces he has
@@lunk2569 Its honestly cause not everyone likes metal/really heavy rock. Even tracks like deadly temptation and Gens'd'Armes in Ys 8 (both unisuga tracks) are not loved by everyone. I also love Iclucian Dance but I also love every kind of music really except for heavy dubstep and rap.
@@zerosolis6664 agreeable on the genre thing. I tend to like calming things but if the song is well composed I'll like it anyways. However i do think some people dislike it for other reasons. Personally, i just dislike the specific guitar sound he chooses. This girl has MEAN Tactics in COMBOS and i mean tactics indeed. the most thing i made of her NEW Move sets she's been giving, The Raging Bull Attack and Ultra Raging Bull Charge and if put in a combo it can definitely do TONS of damage.
I think Singa is the most experimental/progressive composer that has been on the franchise, making tracks with a different feel that can be a hit or miss for many people. Imo, it's still metal, still power, and still good. But regardless, in the end tastes will differ.
His past tracks are very very hit and miss. Also the complaint mostly came from Sen 3 and 4. I personally think his Ys VIII tracks were decent, though I really dislike Red Line.
Like I said earlier, Adol doesn't need any more girls. Aprilis is more attached to Crimson King more than Adol for the entire duration of the game though.
Oh boy, another Singa track. I understand that Falcom need to save money where they can, but contacting the cheapest composer they could get for the majority of the OST is an insult to the musical legacy this franchise has.
DesMondesBlut are you kidding me? if you think that this theme sucks than I'm sorry but I have to say this, you actually have a bad taste when it comes to music but I do hope that this is a troll comment and not a legit opinion
@@darobyjb3869 It's not the worst by Singa, but that doesn't say much considering his track record. That part from 0:51 to 1:22 has got to be the best thing I've heard Singa compose in an Ys game.
Those opening guitar riffs are sooooo good.
I should specify I mean the first 30 seconds of guitars is just great!

His work on Ys 9 carries the entire OST, to be honest. Every one of the best tracks in the game is by him.

This part 1:22 to 1:30 sounds almost exactly like the end of the keyboard solo from Infernal Maze by Stratovarius lol

I don't know why the fanbase critizice singa so much, are they deaf or something? this osts are great!
The western Falcom fanbase is fairly toxic. It doesn't matter who makes the track as long as it sounds great and fits the game.
Those people are just fucking morons
