Good morning Paul! My dad is visiting me this week. First time I've seen him since 2016. Hes got bladder cancer and it may be the last time we visit. I'm going to enjoy the day and have a nice BBQ with him. He brought me some A&E Strawberry fields shaving soap. Great smell and lathered well with my Eberbart Badger brush. The feather is on the 6th pass and had no issues! I am starting to believe the hype. Sending peace and love to all. Enjoy your week!
Good morning Paul great shave. I just received Stirling British Leather and I really like it but I've never had a chance to try the 😂Imperial Leather but if it smell like this one I really like it. Today in Canada is Mother's Day. So who must be obeyed has requested home made buttermilk pancakes for her breakfast so I'll be making those this morning. SOTD Razor: BerryBlue Leaf Twig razor with a Wilkinson sword blade snapped in half. First use. Brush: Your new Paul H Film brush😊. Soap & Splash: Macduff Tobacco Trial. Balm:Bulldog Face Cream for Men. Lather Bowl: Thirsty Badger Artisan made bowl. Today I'm having a BBQ of chicken and chorizo sausage with Greek salad and local aspergillus. Take care
Good morning Paul little late but it's Sunday 😊. Oh very nice shave I love this old stuff. I don't know the shaving soap and splash but it must be gorgeous. I have today s simple shave but very very good. Merkur 34G HD, Palmolive Stick, DScosmetics Synthetic Brush, and Anneyer Mystic AS very cheap but good scent Profil. And a simple meal. Soup, potatoes and pljeskavica. And Salad 🥗 . And thanks to Mrs. Humphrey for the beautiful flowers. Have a nice Sunday!
Hi Paul, greetings from Texas! My SOTD: Palmolive Men Classic Shave Stick (from Germany) I used a old, cheap, drug store shaving brush handle which I re-knotted to synthetic. Gillette Super Speed, flare, red tip (B2). Wilkinson Sword Gillette saloon pack from India; 1st use. Alum, (because I like it) Thayer's lemon witch hazel, Aqua Velva Ice Blue aftershave and finally, Duke Cannon post shave balm.
The SS was first offered from the late 40's thru the mid 1980's. Mild enough for daily shaves, yet aggressive enough to take on three days growth. A!ways a great shave with a vintage Gillette, my favorites. I've yet to have a mediocre shave with any of them from the collection I look after. Have a good week.
@PaulHFilms another great detailed educational breakdown of wet shaving products and great meal planning tips. As usual, Mrs. H has stepped up her floral design game. I wish Mrs. H a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
Hey Paul! I recently purchased that same Super Speed with the original plastic case and original Super Blue Blade dispenser that still had 4 Blue Blades in it! I only paid $10 and change total price for it!! It is in near perfect condition!! Nothing beats vintage Gillettes!! Thanks for using yours!! I hope you have a great start to your week and we will see you for the midweek shave!! JimG
Well done Paul🪒🪒 All of the Super Speed variants shave extremely well IMO, smooth and efficient. Gorgeous flowers this morning Mrs H, thanks as always. Imperial Leather sounds wonderful, vintage goodness. Great shave and results today, thanks. Enjoy Sunday and the start of a new week.
God love ya, we love you in the US, in the south, you have good humor and great shaves...watch some vintage Benny Hill before you come on and maybe we can laugh more together, maybe you can introduce us to your lovely Mrs...talk to us about good British razor blades if you happen to an inspiration to do so...keep up the good workshave brother Paul, cheers!
Good morning Paul, MrsH excelling herself as ever with the flowers, SOTD will be Gillette 1941 Ranger Tech, Gillette platinum blade, Yaqi 24mm tuxedo red marble brush, proraso sandlewood shave cream, Woodspice Amber aftershave and Nivea Men Creme. MOTD will be Roast Chicken with jacket potato and salad, enjoy your day my friends all the best
Hi Paul- Great weekend shave; thank you! Fantastic set of vintage gear for the shave. I have a Gillette Flare Tip (silver]. B3 and always enjoy the nice shave it provides. Lovely flowers from Mrs H; many thanks to her, as always. Enjoy the rest your day together. Be safe and be well. Have a great start to the week. See you on Wednesday for the mid-week shave. Best regards, as always, Paul.
Good shave mate, My wife loves the beautiful flowers, your wife must be a florist or she has a true gift with flower arrangements. The razor was very nice paul. I’m looking for a D-3 1958 3rd quarter, preferably a fatboy but open to others too. Hope you have a great week Paul
Shave of the day Parker R87 TTO , Gillette Perma sharp blade, MWF shave soap, 3 pass and a touch up pass. Great shave just the weight of the razor gilding through the growth. Meal of the dsy just home made cheese burger. Great shave and good meal! Great shave Paul!
Mother's Day here in the US. I made lunch for the family: chicken in a teriyaki marinade and grilled, basmati rice flavored with toasted sesame oil and ginger, and peas. I will probably smoke a pipe shortly. Tomorrow, I'll shave with Palmolive shave soap, Gillette New Open comb, King C Gillette blade, and finish it off with Brut aftershave.
Hi Paul! As nice as always to watch Your videos.😊 About the Super Speed Flare Tip razor, couldn't the flare tip be the exhaust pipe of the moon rocket? The 'Super speed' seems to describe it as well? Thanks to Mrs H for Marvellous flowers!❤ The very best from a sunny Sweden Paul! Alex
Paul, that first lather looks to be too much soap! SoTD ------- Razor: Fat Boy E-2 Blade: Personna, 3rd use Brush: unbranded boar Bowl: wooden Soap: Proraso
Couldn't agree more with you on chicken thighs. But in New York -- can't speak for the rest of America -- it's not uncommon to pay a premium for chicken parts with the skin on.

I remember you doing a comparison of the different Bruts on your channel
After watching that every time I see Faberge Brut, I buy it 😂

I have a black-handled Superspeed from 1986, but I believe they were produced until 1987.
