Hi Geo. Thank you so much for performing the shave, with the Gillette Fatboy E4 1959 that I requested. It was an absolute joy watching the video. I'm glad that you enjoyed shaving with the Gillette Fatboy. I really love shaving with that razer, but maybe I should let it rest on the shelf for a bit., considering its vintage, and use other razer in my collection. Once again thank you for performing the shave with the Gillette Fatboy E4 1959 razer. Take care Geo.

Recently I acquired two Fatboys from antique stores. The one is in near mint condition ($50), the other was in great condition and I only paid $10 for it!!! My best deal ever was a NOS, absolute mint condition, Executive Gold Adjustable in the original case!!! They run anywhere from $500 to $800 in just good condition!! I paid the incredible price of just $90 + $9 shipping!!!!! Once you acquire these iconic razors, TAKE CARE OF THEM!! They certainly can't produce them anymore. And with today's poor standards, they just don't make them like they did then!! Back then, quality was important!! I now own 12 Fatboys + the Gold Executive. I will cherish them and hand them down to family members one day. Thanks for re-reviewing yours!!

I go to a lot of yard sales and flea markets, and have found two E-4 Fatboy razors, one E-2 and one G-1 in the original case, that I had revamped, re-coated, re this re that, nail polished, what ever you want to call it. I haven't used it yet. It's too pretty. But the others are great. It's so much fun and exciting to find them in the wild, and find them cheap, and then get them shaving again.

Once you get a nice one in your hand you get a real appreciation for how well made and how perfect the manufacturing process was that Gillette had. The shave quality is also outstanding as well. It's an f4 Gillette fat boy that I have had sitting in a drawer for a few decades. Cleaned and oiled it up today and it looks pretty good. Sadly I dont have the case or a box of 1960 blades to go with it.

@@diamondback2085 unfortunately for most of the community, Gillette do tend to produce the majority of the blades that suit most people in Russia. The others are either Wilkinsons in India, Feathers in Japan or BIC made in Greece. Some might be made in the US.

@Trigger Warning oh I agree on Gillette blades sucking. I use BIC chromium blades as they're just as, if not slightly under feather blades for sharpness but much more durable and better value for money. The fact they also cut Gillette off for money is an added bonus. I've used Astra's and they've been decent to be fair but not as good as BIC. Took an age to get through a 100 pack though. Well over 2/3 years. Derby's are almost impossible to cut oneself with such is their mildness, but they won't give a smooth shave or finish. Used some Gillette platinums which are actually trash. Only blades to seriously cut me from being so dull they've yanked my hair out instead of cutting it.

@Trigger Warning jagged blades is a similar criticism of Feather blades. Sharp for the first shave and maybe second but fade quickly. Indeed their early razors even today would be market leading IMHO but instead they prefer to invest and make cheap plastic crap. Their DE razor from the King C Gillette brand is basically a Muhle R89/EJ DE89. Absolutely correct on their intentions. They're not sorry for what they did. They're sorry there's a back lash from the consumer base. Never forget and never forgive the scum. I keep hearing about women needing empowerment but the more I hear that, the more I think men need all the help and encouragement they can get to withstand the continuous assault and barrage of "oh your life is so much easier and privileged to a woman's...what do you know..." attitude. I just think different skin types suit different blades and budgets. Some people have no qualms about dashing a feather blade after 2/3 shaves and then move on to the next. I'm glad their woke ad has finally pushed men over the edge to abandon the scum. It's time we fought back and stood up for ourselves. This woke bull crap isn't empowering Jack shit. All it does is promote hate towards men, arrogance and ignorance. Norah Vincent, a proclaimed feminist, couldn't stand being in a man's shoes and quit after 18 months and learnt her lesson. Man I'm fed up with fucking corporations trying to bully us into whatever damn direction is flavour of the week. You make a product, so sell that product and stay in your lane. God damn corporate assholes have ruin everything.
