Oh, YES! Very important point! I hadn't thought about it until I read this comment, but that is just to say that I was 100% with you, getting the most out of the info you presented. It's amazing how so many supposedly "professional" speakers are hooked on "um/y'know"...I will always just go elsewhere, just because it is so freaking distracting. So, bravo to you for your polished and professional presentation...you have my vote.
5 years later, I finally got the d3200 that I wanted handed down to me. This video was a life saver. You thought maybe we would complain about the length. But THANK YOU for going into depth with explaining the WHOLE camera, setting you prefer and while also making it fun to watch.
Learned more in 32 mins than I did in reading Nikon D3400 for dummies for two days! Thanks bro! Trying to learn to shoot my own music videos and YOU just helped.
I live and work in Italy and just bought this camera and of course the users guide is in Italian. This video was everything I wanted and more. Thank you!
dude seriously, this has been the best tutorial every seen, you go straight to the point and quick, in the first 5 minutes you actually said everything about the buttons, awesome to be honest, this is the first tutorial that i have actually like,
Duuuude, you just made my camera better. Or rather, you just really introduced me to my camera. It doesn't suck anymore. People say I take good pictures but are annoyed by the blinking light when I'm not using flash. Now you've taught me how to turn it off. Thank you cuz! BTW, I am telling people to follow you.
Just bought this camera ...my budget was limited and this video has been so helpful and his presentation was great ....I can watch this again and again He’s easy to listen to ...thanks Jared
Great video for people like me who just got one as their first DSLR and need the basics. I find it amusing how you seem frustrated explaining the simplest of things but you do realise how important it is and I appreciate that.
Just bought a used camera last night, my first one ever! This video was SO helpful. I love that you were so quick but still detailed with the settings and your recommendations. Even though the video is long, it’s because there’s a TON of information in it. I feel much more confident now 😁
Just got myself this camera as my 1st ever dslr ,and your video guide and 11 daily tips are teaching me some valuable info and I now Look forward to using my camera. Thanks very much.
Just brought my D3400 and was so confused with it as I had a canon. But this video has made me understand my camera and I can’t wait to use it now. Best photography vid on you tube
It’s an interesting camera thus far. I’m not sure if he mentions the +/- button for adjusting exposure(?), but it’s helpful. Also have noticed Nikon ups the mid-level light amount and color level on the rearview camera display when photos are taken in Auto mode vs manual mode. This was very confusing at first.
It was your d3200 guide that brought me to your channel a few years ago, and I have been a follower since. Thanks for all the content Jared. I have learned so much.
I absolutely love your tutorial. I'm a very amateur photographer. I'm so not tech savvy. So far you have got me hooked. I need simple instructions and you provide them.
I can't thank you enough for this video. I was having a problem with my new Nikon D3400,well you were the only one that fixed the problem. I called Nikon and they could not understand what I was trying to explain but thanks to you, the problem is fixed.
Wow, finally someone who knows how to teach the functions of & how to operate cameras in a way that even someone like me (camera illiterate) can understand. Thank you so much!!!😁👍
Thank you for an unpretentious and detailed overview of this camera. I ordered one yesterday and I'm watching videos like this so I can get started when it finally arrives.
YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!!!! I enjoyed this video. It was so easy having it spoken to you as opposed to reading it, just like you said. This was very informational and no the video wasn't to long at all. To me when you're watching the video and following the setup directions you're giving while working on your camera at the same time, the time seems to fly right by. I'm very appreciative of this video being that I'm a professional camera VIRGIN!!! LOL. Thanks for the info and I will be subscribing
This is exactly what I was looking for. You said it's a long video, but is really complete, and also any beginner, including me, can understand all the functions. Here, take a like to your video. I subscribed and also am going to check out your web page. Keep on doing your job. Thank you!
I absolutely loved this. Thank you. I'm just starting out and I had no idea what somethings were on my D3400. One thing I will say, I've been practicing taking a few very low light photos, and while you're trying to focus, the INFO screen was just too bright to see through the camera. So, I changed the INFO screen to only turn on when I select the INFO button on the top of the screen!
My English is really basic and most part of time I don't understand when I listen someone speaking English but I swear I understand everything what he says, I will buy this camera in a few days.
I appreciate you for making this video for us. Last year I watched this video and thought "I'll never be able to purchase a Nikon DSLR.". Well here I am, just have one as birthday gift in February. I learned alot in 32 minutes about my device. 😊
With this tutorial and the 11 vids to better photography I was able to take photos in full manual. And I never even saw a camera like this before. And I did it on the first day I tried it. I so appreciated your instruction. Thanks Fro!
Getting into photography as a hobby and just bought this camera today. Already read up quite some stuff online, but this video is just amazing. Definitely gonna watch a LOT more of your videos. Love it!
Thanks so much! I was about to take my camera into the store and rendered it useless until I saw this video and realized the "Diopter" was not focused!
I been searching for days for a video about my NikonD3400. After 1 min I wanna fall asleep watching most of them....Your a funny guy, I enjoyed this tutorial. I love the Contra reference....Thank you!
Thank you just got the d3400 and you saved me from reading the manual ! Btw I just love your voice 👍🏻 thanks for the tips will have to rewatch this again once my camera charges
You say that having good glass is the most important thing. What lenses would you recommend for 1. Low light and 2. Long range pictures for the D3400? Love your videos
Thank you so much for posting this video. I bought D3400 yesterday and this video will help me a lot. Can’t wait to go home and change all the recommended settings. Ty.
wow wow wow , I just bought my first D3400 with a 1000mm lens and a 70 -300mm lens , this video was very helpful in my First setup , I have a lot of Mil Air Helos that fly circuits looking forward to some awesome shots
I really appreciate this in depth video. I think I’m ready to move on to a more buttony beginners camera now so I’m hoping I can get one of these for Christmas
Just got mine today! Thank you so much for taking me step by step! I really really appreciate it specially it’s my first time using a DSLR (that I actually own)
Very nice quick into to the settings. The only thing that could make it better would be to explain how you could possibly program a button to rotate through perhaps 3 presets. Thank you.
Hi Jarad, being a keen Nikon user I just wanted the headsup on a Nikon D3400 I purchased for my daughter and you came up with the goods! Clear and concise, glad I found you I have subscribed and will be searching out what else you have to offer, thanks.
The way you explain everything is great. I am understanding so much especially if I watch more than once...because its packed with helpful information. Thank you!
Thank you for this guide. You explained everything well and w some comedy. New to DSLR, the D3400 is my first camera and you answered all my newbie questions.
Unbelievable video. You have a great personality and voice for presentation. You really anticipate what someone would want to ask if they were speaking to you.I hope your other videos are the sam, I am sure that they are. I just started a digital photography class and not knowledgeable about the Nikon D3400 camera. Thanks to The Bro from FroKnowsPhotos for this video Vincent
Much appreciated quick run through the bits that confuse. Coming from roll film using my Rolex and Hasselblad this transition is made easier by your video. Started off using wet plate cameras full and quarter plate back in the 1950's.
It was the D3300 Users Guide that brought me to this channel. I ended up watching it twice all the way through. I haven't been subscribed ever since that video was new, but I subbed after I found it, a couple months before I actually bought that camera in November. But, I must make a comment on how the D3400 is actually a slight downgrade in a way. It doesn't even have an external mic jack like the D3300 does. :( Not a good tradeoff for ever so slightly improved battery life.
Thank you very much for this video - was havng real trouble with the focus points (I'm used to a Fujifilm camera and also very much a beginner). Giving your personal choices for the set up was so helpful and corrected a few errors I had made while fiddling with it myself!!!
Awesome, thank you so much. I learn better by seeing demonstration. This has been incredibly helpful. I have had mine for almost a year and new to photography and still learned so many things I did not know.
Well gee.... that made it a lot simpler than reading a manual.... thanks mate. Borrowed the camera from a friend to attach to my telescope but not sure it is a good enough camera for astro stuff so here's hoping
Hi Jared thak you for all the help. I miss the 5 min portrait videos, i really enjoyed the d1x you should think on doing one with another old dslr like the d2x or something like that. Love to see you solving all the situations!
OMG! your'e such a big help... i just got my nikon d3400 this december and only had a little knowledge on using it..thanks...you have a new subscriber btw :)
Best tutorial of any type I've ever seen, note, you never say "uh, uhm" once during the entire presentation. Excellent speaker.

LJ X whats your deal man
agreed...i am a total beginner and i understood what this guy was saying very to the point. thanks bunches.
5 years later, I finally got the d3200 that I wanted handed down to me. This video was a life saver. You thought maybe we would complain about the length. But THANK YOU for going into depth with explaining the WHOLE camera, setting you prefer and while also making it fun to watch.
O my goodness! I almost made the mistake of reading the entire manual😩thank for doing this video
thanks for going step by step and not talking down to some who are not as educated...
no problem at all. These are meant to be as simple as possible and if someone is a little more advanced they can skip ahead.
Thank you!
Long video and watched every second of it TWICE. No need to read the manual after watching this, thank you very much.
New to DSLR & bought 3400 for my lovely wife - you came highly recommended from a co-worker. Thank you and keep up the great work!
dude seriously, this has been the best tutorial every seen, you go straight to the point and quick, in the first 5 minutes you actually said everything about the buttons, awesome to be honest, this is the first tutorial that i have actually like,
I'm a newbie to DSLR and I've watched a lot of how-to videos on the Nikon d3400 but this was the best. Very clear and well presented. Thank you.
I was confused on my nikon d3400 but with your user guide now I know everything in nikon d3400

I absolutely love your tutorial. I'm a very amateur photographer. I'm so not tech savvy. So far you have got me hooked. I need simple instructions and you provide them.
One of the best intro for D3400 I have seen on youtube, thanks for your time
I've been following you for more than 5 years now. You are such a nice person. Thank you for your guidance and teaching!

Hi Jared thak you for all the help. I miss the 5 min portrait videos, i really enjoyed the d1x you should think on doing one with another old dslr like the d2x or something like that. Love to see you solving all the situations!
