Jared will you send me a free D5600 for sitting in on this video? Thanks to you after watching this video I now know how to use this camera. Now I just need to save up for the camera.
Thanks for this. Do you know how can I make d5600 HSS compatible? I want to get GODOX AD200 with x1T trigger which both are hss compatible. Will this work even though d5600 is not HSS compatible, or do I need to upgrade the camera to 7000 series?
I've had my D5600 for almost 2 years, I´ve seen hundreds of videos of it, and your's is by far the best, your voice is perfect, you don´t hesitate or hum. Straight to the point. And I love your hair.
I have had my Nikon D5600 for about 18 months, constantly struggling with the settings, this video was HANDS down the best! Helped me to easily know where to put most of the settings, and why. Hopefully things will be a little easier now. Thanks for doing this video!
I've had my d5600, first dslr, sitting in my cupboard because for the life of me, i couldn't work out how to use it, and no videos online helped at all.. This was the most clear and straight to the point video I have seen and finally have got my camera out to start practicing again! Thank youuuuuu!
Same! Needed money so had to trade everything I had for a smaller setup and ended up grabbing this camera along with 2 lenses, I honestly have had a lot of fun with it so far
Let me tell you, I watched so many videos to learn how to use Nikon D5600? but nooooooo one explain the way you did👍😊 Thank you , Thank you and thank you......😊👏👏 I learnt so much out of your video🌺🌺😊🌺🌺
just picked up my first DSLR and this was so helpful. never been a "reader" when it comes to directions, walking through set up while having it explained is so much easier. great explanations and walk through, thanks so much!
I had bought Nikon D5600 for 6 months already just because of I didnt know how to use it I never use it, after this video I feel more than confident to use my camers. Video was extremly helpful, Thank You Jared
It is not a university subject darling, use them instead of memorizing them or writing them down. Using them will make you UNDERSTAND them and it becomes a second nature
Excellent! I’ve been using this great little camera for years and forgotten some of the features. This is a reminder of why I bought it, versatile but very compact for travel. With 4 lenses, flash, remotes, chargers etc. my whole kit fits easily in a small backpack. You demonstrated a LOT of functions- bravo👏👍🤓
I'm a journalism student and we had to get this camera. By far the BEST tutorial out there for the D5600. Thank you very much Jared. You're awesome and love the Fro! :)
Good video. i have had my D56 for a couple of weeks. The change I made from your settings was the airplane mode. i leave that on most of the time. right now I am shooting a lot of pictures just to learn the camera. The camera was going through batteries quickly. By going into airplane mode i preserve the battery. I will transfer the pictures later.
I bought my first DSLR 5600 last week and did not opened it until I watched your video today. I did not even know how to turn on this camera. Thank you very much for your informative video. I know what I am touching in this camera now.
Over the past few years, I've watched your D5600 tutorial at least a dozen times All other RUclips videos pale in comparison. Thank you time and again for taking the time.to produce this video.
Got mine a few days ago. Congrats fellas, I went off and took a shit load of pics. They all sucked but now i have a wider range in fixing them in post. Now, they only kinda suck. lol muhahaha
Jared, I just got a new D5600 (retired Firefighter budget) and was a little apprehensive about setting it up for an upcoming 1 month trip to India. Even though I have a small background (stop laughing!) in photography, with 3 previous "way older" Nikons, this video was exactly the confidence booster that I needed! I just signed up for your 11 days to better photography course, and I can't wait to start! I've subscribed to this RUclips channel, and I can hardly wait to begin your course. Thanks!
Great video! I purchased my d5600 in late 2022 from eBay. It seems to work just fine with the lenses from my old D50 but the auto focus does not work since the lenses do not have the servos in them. I've watched this entire video at least 10 times and am beginning to learn how to work the features of the camera. Today is late Feb, 2023 by the way. Keep up the great videos.
Love the Nikon D lineup. Went from never shooting, to getting fantastic macro/landscape shots with a 3200 and even a 3100 with the nikon 70-300mm VR lens for under $200. The exposure UI is the easiest to use, and even though it's bulky I miss having it when using my compact bridge camera.
I have used many Nikons....the D90 was my favorite. Now I have a D5600 and a bigger lens to photograph birds and other wildlife. I have forty days to try it out!
Very helpful, thank you! I just ordered D5600 and I am preparing myself in advance :D I have currently D40, so the difference will be huge! Can't wait :)
This video helped me out so much! This is my first camera and had no idea how to set this camera up but this video was so helpful and informative. Your step by step was just what I needed. The only thing is on my camera, the AF area mode, it only shows me single point AF and Auto- Area AF not the other ones that showed up for you on your camera. Why is that? Not sure if I missed a step or anything? Other than that though thank you so much for the video!
Thanks a lot. You are a professional in performance and in giving information as well. I recently bought a D5600, but I am facing a challenge in focusing on a moving target in video mode.
I got my D5600 with tow kit lenses at the pawn shop for $250. Just bragging. This video was REALLY helpful. This may be an semi entry level camera, but I still find it complex. Thanks for clearing some things up.
I also find this camera unbelievably complex. Really glad to hear this comment so that I know I’m not the only one. This video is excellent, I just suspect I have some kind of learning disability. I slowed the video down to comprehend it all.
You are fabulous..Better than the Tentacle Department..I have learned so much from you..I can not thank you enough.. I am so happy I found you ...Keep up the good work. I hope you know how wonderful you in helping us beginners.
This video is very helpful, I just purchased and unboxed this camera because my photographer on a recent test shoot used it and I liked it. Thanks Jared.
Great video.. understood a lot about D5600 thanks. D5600 is my first camera, loved it.. However, Nikon messed up with the wifi and bluetooth connectivity with this camera. There is no option to enable/disable wifi. Everytime I want to connect my phone to camera via wifi I've to connect to Snapbridge 1st. And transferring photos with snapbridge via bluetooth is too slow. Hope Nikon updates Snapbridge and D5600 firmware as well.
I have a 5600 and I will say they have done a great job updating how the photos transfer! It is so fast compared to the 3400 which uses Bluetooth only. Hopefully this helps!
is there a way to turn off/on? Does the camera just upload photos to my iPhone automatically? I'd rather delete bad pics before they get uploaded and take the time to do so. Thanks for your help! @@bencrumbliss1594
Thank you so much for this video. My first camera is D5600 and this video has helped me so much to set my camera to take good pictures. Thank you once again Jared.
Thanks, Jared. I never had time to do this walkthrough. Now, I got to watch you and say, "OH! That's what that's for!" I'll deal with the 11 days after absorbing this stuff. Shooting at dusk tonight...should be 100% better!

Thanks for this video. I recently lost my D3300 (OK, I left it in a taxicab in Barcelona, and wasn't able to recover it). I decided to replace it with a D5600, refurbished direct from Nikon USA. While similar, they're not the same. This video provided an easy way to review the basics, as well as the highlights of the D5600. Of course, yes, I will review the manual..

Great info! My Great Dane ate my manual and I’m glad because this is so much better. I loved being able to stop, try it on camera, and Even though I can watch this again I took notes for quick reference. I’m finally going to get the chance to use this camera, old bones put the brakes on for a bit. You can know photography and still not know how to use this camera, lol, so thank you so much!
Thank you for breaking this down for me. I have watched so many videos on my camera and been so confused and then there you are and I understand things so much better. Your a lifesaver and so good at teaching. Please keep making tutorials, please lol.

this is the only time when instead of speeding up a video (which I almost always do), I made a slowdown. very useful video. respect!
