I have loved A. Baddoo since he joined the Tigers and wanted the team to stick with him. But I do believe the time glass has run out on him. And I agree with you Scott in thinking that with another team he will be the p[layer we all wanted him to become. That is the way I feel about Tork as well. Thank you Scott. I celebrate every Tiger win.
I defended Baddoo long after his first, amazing year, but I am done. Would love to see him put it all together, but don't think it will happen with the Tigers.
I'm just watching for individual progress at this point. It's hard to win with an offense that does not feature the three guys you were going to count on the most at the start of the year. It's also hard to win with three bullpen games for every turn of the rotation. I think we're learning some things this year, and that's about it.
It's all about the auditions at this point. Who can play fundamental baseball, etc. Save the thunder for the end of season when we hear how much "progress" was made this season.
Baddoo is the hitting equivalent of Brieske. One can't throw anything that breaks horizontally and the other can't hit anything that does, especially if it starts in the middle of the plate and breaks outside. Maybe somebody can teach Brieske. There is still time. But Baddoo has struggled with this since the second half of his rookie year and hasn't shown any improvement. Maybe another team can teach him and sometimes changing teams focuses a player's attention, but I'm thinking if he hasn't learned by now, he ain't gonna.
The Canha sac fly walkoff game- groundball to Ibanez at 1st base- Ibanez foot when he caught the ball was one foot from the bag, a DP is critical there- instead of touching 1st base and throwing home he just throws home and the guys out by 50 feet proving he had time to touch the bag as first act. Sac fly game over.As for Canha I noticed they raised his hands and he had a 4 hit game- think of it they had a change in mind when they got him that the Tigers coaches didnt see. People on the radio were freeking out over so called Malloy misplay in left field- I thought it would have been a great play had he made it-was not normal effort play- they should be freeking out over his hitting- 40 % K rate, because if this guy cant hit- and he cant- hes useless.
I'm guessing with the lack of them calling up Tork they have lost all faith in him. I would 100% call him up and see if they can salvage anything out of him... If not address his position in the offseason and cut ties with him.
Cutting Torkelson would be absolutely ridiculous. You don’t cut ties with a guy that’s his age, was drafted one - one, and hit 30 home runs last year. Do we have anybody in the minors any better? No!
Those corner outfielders aren't used to a CF covering that much ground, plus and outfield that has that much ground to cover. An outfield of Greene, Meadows and Carpenter with Perez and Vierling off the bench would be pretty good.
He keeps wiffing on breaking pitches that start over the plate and break outside. I'm sure he's been told that a thousand times. He doesn't need more coaching. What he needs is to QUIT SWING AT THEM.
Send what’s-his-name (Madris) back to Toledo. Bring up Tork for the rest of the season for another shot at making the core of young players with the Tigers.
baez has to go. he can't play high level professional ball anymore. doesn't matter what his age is. some players fall off a cliff at age 27. still hope tork is not a complete bust. not expecting a superstar but would be happy if he has a high average career with a few 30+ home run seasons. gotta be patient with him. i feel like tork was rushed in the minors.
Honestly, it's amazing that the Tigers are 56-63 with the lineups that have been rolled out this year.
Win or lose the boys are playing hard and not giving up. I enjoyed all the games.

Scott, I love some of the comments you drop along the way. My favorite from the past week was “Zach McKinstry will be a Tiger until he’s 60.”
I like Badoo, but I think this was his do or die season for the Tigers.

Go tigers
Meadows had a rough weekend out in the field. Not of his doing. Be nice to get Green back.

Baddoo is organizational depth. That appears to be his ceiling. No better than sixth on the outfield depth chart in the organization.
I love yu Scott lmao🤣😭

Baddoo almost killed Meadows.😢

Baddoo needs a personal hitting coach.

@@kathleenlyon1427 You are right.
Bring Tork back and see if he is MLB ready or if he is a AAAA player.

AB....I've given up on him, he's simply not a good enough hitter

When are you going to nail Harris for putting together this piece of crap?
When he fails after spending a bunch of Illich’s money to get some real players in here
