Looking to buy a complete set of pads and rotors for 2015 GMC Terrain. What procedure do you recommend for burnishing/bedding the pads and rotors once installed?
Good until you said putting grease for lube in the caliper boots. Then you'll have to get new brakes soon. Use silicone. Not grease. Or If you meant caliper grease, should have said tbat

On this vehicle you are asking for trouble by just pushing the caliper piston back w/o loosening the bleeder screw. I've always just pushed them back with large C-clamp like you did but there is something Jenke about the design that when you push fluid back towards the the ABS pump and/or master cyl that causes soft pedal. It will feel fine with engine off butt get spongy with engine running and you can just keep pushing it to the floor. You'll have brakes but bad pedal and you can bleed them anyway you want too, it won't come back. Dealer says this is normal? NO IT ISN'T.

If you put a little grease underneath the pad adapters it will stop them from rust jacking and jamming the pads.
+papa bits Thanks for the tip!
Should i open the lid of the break fluid reservoir first?
+Molina FamilyPC Thanks for watching! You do not need to open the cap unless you are planning on doing a full brake bleed. 1aauto.com
How come every other source I find for my terrain says to torque the wheels to 140 foot pounds?
When was the anti seize used as mentioned at 9:25 time?
Is it the same process for the 2014?
At 10:00 minutes why did you not remove the replaceable hardware from the bracket before cleaning? Then replace with new hardware?
Do you have to bleed them?

Rick M so it's caliper grease that should be added to the list?

It makes me wince to see you use your palm as a hammer. Use a rubber mallet or dead blow, but not the palm. You're asking for nerve damage later on.

If you pump the brakes in between each brake that is finished, you should be fine. I had no issues.
Same as mustache x

Why not hammer the rotor you’re changing it anyway?
This is a $450-600 job at the dealer.
rotors and brakes, almost $850, just for rear tires.
Brake pads and rotors, $300 in parts. Bonkers.
Dealer quoted me $710.00 just the rear
