Hi, so I got a bit a of question no one is ever talking about. Could you possibly shed some insight in regards to the sound settings for this game as I find them very confusing and feels like nobody is tackling this aspect ever. Thank you! Love your vids so far! :D
Hey mate, Sorry I missed this message until now. Sound settings are all over the place. You need to use stereo sound and not 5.1 \ 7.1 as this will cause a lot of confusion. I highly recommend running high volume if you can so you can hear footsteps etc. I use a software called Peace APO which is an EQ software and increase my sound by +15db's .. this might make your ears bleed or your headset clip (due to being to loud) but might help hear players as well. (be mindful of head gear as well as quite a few reduce your ability to hear.
Hey mate, i watched this and i was pretty close to what you have. Made the changes and will see how it goes. What has my curiosity is when you selected vsync your fps went to 250 or so. When i did the same mine went to 100. So i am not sure what i am missing here. I operate with AMD Ryzen 3600. 16GB ram. RX5700xt. Cheers if you can help out.
At some point Shadows Medium was said to give more FPS than Shadows Low. Like Low puts it on CPU which is not great. But was that an old patch and no longer true?
Dismissive drive-by posting in a sensitive topic. Hey mate, I have been playing around with shadows and I think it comes down to personal preference, you will get a gain on Med/high setting but with a 1080ti I noticed it was either a small gain or same FPS depending on the map.
hello i'm using g-sync on tarkov and i heard that the v-sync option should be on in nvidia, but disabled in game in order for g-sync to work properly. what do you have to say about this? also is it ok to overclock to 165 hz? or should i keep it 144 hz?
Eden Kagan yes that’s correct, you need to have Vsync on via Nvidia control panel and then Vsync off in game, this should give you the default 120fps limit in game. I run my monitor at 165hz no problems with EFT. I know getting 165 FPS constantly is almost impossible atm but I still do it and don’t see any harm in etc.
Do you use Virtual Reality Pre-Rendered Frames set to 1 for all gaems you play @chippawubba setting is very confusing and not alot of documentation on it
Hey mate. Virtual Reality Pre-Rendered Frames is for each frame rendered, the CPU has to create a command buffer, which is then fed to the GPU. The Flip Queue is a queue of such command buffers. Which means if set to "1" .. it will send the command faster to the GPU but if it's set to 3.. it's waiting for the CPU to render 3 buffers. Pretty much because Tarkov is more CPU dependent, you want to use this setting on 1 as it will load the CPU and provide a lower latency but if your CPU is quite old say, before 6700k.. you might get more stutters as the CPU might not be able to keep up and load the GPU with the frame. A setting of 3 would be more ideal for older CPU's. Most players seem to have a 7700k or better these days which should be more then enough for EFT on setting "1". I hope this helps. :)
