- An Ohio police officer rushed to save a choking toddler. Before helping the child, the officer retrieved a portable airway-clearing device from the trunk of his car. After assembling the device, the officer placed it over the toddler's mouth and successfully removed the toy he was choking on. The device the officer used is called a LifeVac. Recently, a special event celebrated 1,000 lives saved by LifeVac. Sixty-three of those lives were saved thanks to viewers learning about the device on Inside Edition.
My dad got a LifeVac when my son turned two. Thank you Inside Edition for covering this!! Thank you Arthur Lee for creating this device.

It should be mandatory for a restaurant to have a life vac. Owners of restaurants should definitely buy one..I'm sure no restaurant owner wants a choking death in their restaurant. Also shout out to the cop and gentlemen in the restaurant. True heroes.
I agree
Parents should have one not the restaurant business if your kid chokes to death
if every single possible event that could happen to a person was considered then a restaurant would have hundreds of different devices medications equipments which is unnecessary. It’s rare for there to be someone chocking and most of the time it can be solved by simple human to human actions such as heimlick manoeuvre
@@abz7800 its not the restaurants responsibility to supply you with bullet proof vests. They're a food business...use your peanut brain for once lol
@@Vr_Demon_ so it’s not their responsibility to have a life vac either you fool. It’s not a medical centre to have all your health needs they provide only food that’s it
I have a 2 year old niece and I'm always afraid she might put something in her mouth and start choking. Thank you officer for saving that baby! 🥹
Jesus loves you 💞💞
Maybe think about a life vic
You need to get a life vac for when she visits you.
Guy who invented this deserves every penny he gets
I’d make this mandatory to own once you leave the hospital with your baby it’s a truly amazing product.
I think everyone should own one of these life-vac things 👍🏻
Because of those stories I bought one for our family..Thank you to the inventor of this device
Where did you purchase it?

I have had one of these since my baby was born. Luckily we haven’t had to use it, but I’ve seen a variety of stories where it saved a child’s life and it gives me comfort knowing it is there.
Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. :)
I guess you'll buy a bullet proof backpack too 🎒

The person was literally in the video
Congratulations from Brazil. I never get tired to watch people been saved from death.
We dont care about where you're from🙏 😹
Good to see something positive when the world seems hellbent on ripping everything down.
I don't regret spending 150 for 3 life vacs. For my side of the family, my husband's side, and our family of 1. Even if none of us ever use it (Pray to God we never have to use them), I can feel much more comfortable and safer knowing that mine and all our family have a life vac to save any of our lives!
They should be free... 😔
50 for one; where did you get them?
@@jonathanz.9675 Same!! I want to buy one but I can’t afford one being almost $200
@cassandrahughes2897 as nice as that would be I don't think that's a possibility. That's like saying a house should be free or food should be free. It be nice but people in a factory work to make them so they must be payed for their labor and it cost to ship them and it costs to send them out to stores and shelve them and it costs to send it to your door. I think I could understand if you said cheaper maybe but free isn't really a reasonable option. It's super important and I'm glad we have the tech now to have it be a possibility at all. I think it would be great to possibly have a payment plan. For parents struggling if insurance would cover a portion of it or just putting $10 away a week could get you this in reasonable time.
@@kekeg1I agree they should be affordable for everyone.
There's some good people left in this crazy world
Just because someone does one good deed that doesn't make them a good person. We don't know if that cop beats his wife or innocent black people.

Looks like LifeVac is a definite get for anyone with little kid
Once in a while something comes along that is so simple, but can save lives that it's hard to imagine why it has not been done before. This thing I think will go on to save many lives. I think that every one should have one- just in case. The inventor should receive a medal!
well done to Cop for saving the little one but the inventor of the lifevac deserves a noble peace prize
Mmmm
I think the Nobel Peace prize is in the wrong category for this.
Tears over this, what a caring man to create the life vac. He's a hero❤❤❤
It’s so crazy how it took that guy carrying it in his trunk and that video just to get this out to the world! He said he had been carrying it in his trunk for 5 years which means it was out for at least that long before the video and so many more lives could have been saved if ppl had just known about it!
That guy said he had been carrying it in his car for 5 years which means it was a thing for at least 5 years before that video and so many other lives could have been saved had ppl known about it
I did learn about the LifeVac through you, so thank you. I've literally told every human I met / know that they should own one, even if you don't have children. It WILL save someone's life someday, and either you or someone else will thank you for having one. Always have a lighter, always have a LifeVac, and always have your common sense and you'll be prepared for most everything.
I could care less about other peoples children seriously.
@@MayorMcheese12 Please, we all know you represent cheese children anyway.
Also lmfao you should put that on a shirt, that's metal af
Alhumdulilah you saved the precious life.i live the another part of world but seeing this type of work by officer don't have word to describe.
Such a simple device, yet so important
I am from Holland and even I have been. One of the people to see the first video about the LifeVac. It's really great to have been a supporter of it. And luckily I have not yet been in the situation of needing it. But its always close. Thank you all.
As an UAE Executive Chauffeur its expected to be educated and up to date in life saving procedures and equipment. ❤
Thank you to the officer💐💐💐💐💐 you really saved the child’s life.
Thanks a ton to all the officers that have saved someone from choking to death.
What an amazing device, a true hero is the man that invented that device. Amazing thanks again 💐🥰💐🥰💐🥰
Absolutely wonderful, it’s so nice to see great stories like this!
Love the impact of inside edition and life vac a very wholesome video
Thank you to this wonderful officer glad he had this life saving device
Always so scary!! Thank the lord for that device and the officer!
great work officer!
They should have one of these available in every school cafeteria. They should teach children to make the "I am choking" sign and not use it as a joke.
I definitely have a lifevac because of inside edition.. Glad everyone is safe. ❤
I had a little 4 year old brother who choked on a piece of plastic about a year ago. We didn’t have a life vac, we didn’t even know about it until a few months later. No one could’ve taken out the piece because of everyone’s large hands, but luckily my skinny fingers were able to pick out the plastic and save his life. It was a very scary moment for us all, and life vac coulda saved up so much trouble. And I hope everyone can get one so they don’t have to go through that same scare.
Omg what kind of plastic was it ? A piece of toy part , etc?
Wow! Good job! Thank God you were able to save him. And thank God for your skinny fingers. You will always be his hero.
How scary. I'm happy the little boy is ok.
I never had a LifeVac growing up but my mum certainly saved me from choking a couple of times. One was really serious when my aunt was watching me and my mum just happened to come by the house in time to save my life from some nuts that were left out for guests. I was like 2. For some reason adults weren't good at watching us so we went through a lot of babysitters (one even accidentally burned me with a cigarette while trying to get me out of the car)
This is what we should be doing more in America and around the world - a lot of amazing people out there in the world!!
We bought a lifevac a couple months ago. I have swallowing difficulties at random (due to PPMS), and know I couldn’t Heimlich myself…so this brings me comfort having it in our kitchen.
Lifevac saves the day again! Truly an amazing product.
Oh wow thank god that little boy is saved that life saver lifevac is a good tool and looks alot faster than doing the back slap or the chest compressions. 😢 😮 👍
This is wonderful! Thank God!🙌🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽

Thank you God! Thank you to this policeman for having a life vac❤️

I purchased the LifeVac after seeing the episode of the man saving the boy at the restaurant. I tell everyone about LifeVac.
Great job. Awesome device
Every parent must have this in there possession.
I keep LifeVac with me everywhere.
I own one now because of inside edition, and I have three kiddos, couldn’t be happier to own one.

Ive never heard of this device before but im going to research it now.
Thank you.
Great job by the police officer
Yoo this gotta be God sent this thing looks like a miracle thing but yet so simple it’s a good product
Blessed be the inventor of this device!
I bought a LifeVac after I saw your story a few years ago! I often wish there was one for dogs as they often have kibble, bones or other things that could cause choking.
There is a maneuver a vet can do to release a large object like a ball. Saw it on YT. Fascinating.
@@mmsanrio I've seen it, too! It's amazing! I think it's called the External Extraction Technique, or XXT where the ball is pushed up and out the throat on a dog who's on its back. It's for complete obstruction, I believe. Instruction about how to do it is on the Veterinary Partner site and can be easily found through a search. Balls can definitely be a risk. They also have the Heimlich for dogs. I really need to do a pet first-aid course.
Thanks Arthur Lee for creating a amazing device
His invention saved a thousand lives 👏
Great job making that ❤
Yes! I bought one after seeing Inside Edition
I still remember the story with Gabriel, and the very same Device is helping more and more still
Inside edition old viewers, you know this is nostalgia
Every family should have one close available.
When i was 8 i was choking on a creme saver. Thank god/my sister for knowing how to do the hemlich! She saved my life. And thankfully now their is a device that can save so many more lives!
When my grandson was born I bought two of them, one to keep at the house and one in the car. They might be a little pricey but in my book it’s better to have it and not need than too need it and not have it.
Congratulations Inside Edition
Love stories like this. More please ❤

I have the lifevac because of these stories that inside edition covers.
Shout out to u officer ur amazing dude
Everyone got the idea of the device from the video of Baby Gabriel two years ago and now it's famous for saving 63 lives of women and children. Three cheers for LifeVac everybody!
Amazing. Every restaurant should have one.
I still need to get one just for my vehicle.
They saved my brother from another mother!
I just had to perform the heimlich manoeuvre on a four-year-old student of mine, most terrifying thing to ever experience. Thankfully I got to them in time.
But we need these in every classroom!
I just bought one of those LifeVac devices after seeing a few uses of it on this channel.
Every 5 days a child choke to death !!? That's crazy, hope LifeVac or some other devices could change that soon.
This why I love inside edition
Blessed
I bought 4 immediately after watching your original airing ❤
It has been copied by China & on Amz. for only $15-30 now!!!
good for you
When I seen the original coverage of this story, I went out and bought the device. Have one at home and each of our vehicles bc you just never know.
I purchased one of these. I bought it with both the child and adult attachment. I keep it in my trunk. My neighbors know I have one. I keep it in my car in case I’m at a restaurant and in the case I am home. It’s always with me.
I purchased a LifeVac after watching Gabriel’s video and I hope I never have to use it; but if I do, it’s in my car and ready to go.
This is getting more and more of these
I will 100% make sure I have one when I have a little.
My lifevac follows me everywhere I go!! Peace of mind!
