- A mother and her daughter were hiking on a trail in Oregon when the mom fell down a steep incline. Thankfully, Taylor Root was hiking along a narrow trail when he heard a faint cry for help in the distance. When he raced toward the sound, Root saw the young woman holding on to her mom. However, the woman was struggling to hold on to her mother because she only has one arm. Root used all his strength to hoist the mom back on the trail.

That's a mother's love. The pain of her pulling her daughter with her. Was greater than her falling. Wanted to save her daughter even if it meant she could die.
And here it just would have been a bit of a walk to go back up the hill...
I'm a dad of a 6 year old and I'd stand between her and anything without hesitation even if it meant it was my time. I'm her armor

@@xfg007 Adrenaline would definitely help, but it’s kinda crazy that it didn’t rip her shoulder out of her socket. That’s a crazy amount of downward weight, on one joint, specially if she caught her and it was a sudden strain.
She very lucky that *having one arm* meant she probably had extra muscle to make up for it throughout her life.
I don’t think another average women could have caught and held a full persons weight with one arm.
What if all this was staged? People do all sorts of things for views and likes.

Hearing mom say "let me go" I can hear my own mother being like that in this situation.

That’s insane-like a absolutely insane that she managed to both catch her and HOLD on With one arm. It’s is instantly difficult. I’m surprised she didn’t dislocate her shoulder.

She only has one arm and she was able to hold her mom up still. Her determination to save her mom was her strength. She didn't want mom to get hurt or possibly die.

This is amazing. He’s amazing because he managed to save the life of a stranger. The daughter is amazing because she was able to save her mother with only one arm. And the mother is amazing because she didn’t hesitate to sacrifice her own life to save her daughter.

After seeing so many horrible things this week, I really needed to see great things happen. That strength gave me a boost I needed.
Thank God! I would have told my daughter to let me go as well. I teared up when i heard that. 😢 The daughters determination, the hero who helped two strangers, and a mothers selfless love for her daughter, were all part of their fate. Beautiful! ❤

Would have been tragic without so much plant matter around. I doubt the daughter could have held on with her one arm if there weren't also other things helping the mother. Everything worked out perfectly (except the fall to begin with) to make sure this woman didn't die or get seriously injured.
Let me tell you, hoisting up anyone is a challenge in of itself. Credit to the mother for being able to switch from panic and the "let me go" attitude to being able to help the people rescuing her get the parts of her where they needed to go.

@@msunje9862 she took matters into her own hand, and wasn’t afraid to get her hand dirty before things got out of hand. Luckily there was someone close by to lend a hand. This hero now has first-hand experience in a rescue like this and I trust others will be in good hands when he’s around. It’s hands down the best story I’ve heard all week.

Oh man what a scary situation. I'm glad that the mother survived and the fact that the daughter held on to her with only one arm goes to show how strong their love for each other is. It was sad though that the mother said "let me go" so that she could prevent her daughter and the guy from falling down with her. I'm glad that it didn't come to that. That guy is a hero.
In July, a 40 y/o man fell ~200' from the switchbacks and died while hiking with his family. Last August a woman also fell ~100' and died.

The daughter was using every ounce of her being to save her mom, and her mom was going to sacrifice herself. They must have felt so helpless and terrified, thinking it was over. But God already knew what would happen. And he had the perfect guy, Taylor, there at the right time and right place to help them!! So uplifting!
What a blessing! God put that man in the place where he was meant to be in the exact moment! Miraculous! God bless all three of them! 🙏🏻
