At times the drowning is intentional which I find really hard to understand. With suicide by drugs or guns at least the families know what happened to their loved one and approximately when they died and where. This driving into bodies of water intentionally is something I never thought about until I started watching Adventures With Purpose.
It's crazy how many missing people wind up in rivers/ bodies of water.. It's awesome to bring closure to these families, nothing can be worse than not knowing!!!
There's a couple that recovers drowning victims all over western Canada and US. The police will only spend a few days looking but these people always seem to find them, even months later. Kudos to these guys, this is difficult work and I'm sure every recovery takes a part of them.
They helped find a boy that rolled his truck in the river in my town. His mom begged the cops for months to look and they wouldn't. They called this group. They found him in a short amount of time. They then called the cops and they showed up being a holes. So glad this team showed up. Gave this family closure
Being a holes how? Ignoring the fact they found a dead body just to chastise them for diving or just being grumpy they got shown up and aserting authority over the recovery operation claiming it could be a crime scene to try and save face?
As someone who knows a family that lost their 18 yr old son in the water and who wasn’t recovered for some months I can tell you it’s extremely profound and so very necessary for them to be recovered. Deep respect and gratitude to these amazing people that do this. It is immeasurably appreciated.
It must be traumatizing to see those dead bodies, but they do it, not for their own good, but for other people. They deserve much more than a bit of recognition on RUclips.
To give closure to a spouse of 42 years....partner of life...is a huge blessing in so many ways. Please continue this great work to help families needing answers and closure. God bless.
My husband and i will be celebrating our 45rh anniversary in 2wks. I can't imagine the anguish this man went through. God bless these men who helped him.
I've always been petrified of diving in lakes specifically. There's just something ominous about it. This dude's incredible man. Great to see good people out there.
2:25 annoys me that professional investigators say there's nothing that can be done, then a couple dudes with some diving gear come in and under 12 hours they've got the truck pulled out of the water. It makes me believe more and more that a lot of cops/law enforcement don't actually care to help to the best of there ability.
There is not much for those parties to gain. Diving and recovering remains would cost tens of thousands in wages/ hundreds of thousands in equipment. These resources cost money. If the families of the missing cannot shell it out, they'll need additional funding from taxpayers. I agree families should get the closure they deserve though.
@@totoro1605 so what? The government printed 8 Trillion dollars during covid and only gave the Americans less than 1 trillion in stimulus. Along with everything else, I’m sure the money isn’t an issue 🥹

Maybe they don't care because they get to keep their jobs whether the case goes cold or not....? They (feds) can't have tried too hard to solve it if a bunch of regular citizens with diving experience can just bang these cases out like these guys lmao
Having done five years of Underwater Search and Recovery in my younger days, looking for bodies, cars, weapons, etc., I tip my hat to you guys. Tough job when the water is black, but there is a satisfaction in providing closure to loved ones. Well done, gentlemen.
that truly must've been terrifying, finding a body like that... but damnit, if these guys didn't bring peace, answers and closure to some families hearts... and yes, they're still offering closure to many. that's incredible. he's a good man
@VinAr Run Actually considering the fact the bodys were submerged in water they could have been somewhat preserved and not only that the water would have also effected their appearance. I'm not going to describe it but it wouldn't be nice to see. So basically depending on the amount of time passed, water conditions and wildlife in the area the bodys may have still been somewhat intact. Not that it matters though even seeing a human skeleton would be distressing.
It's sad the local governments gave up the searches so quickly and left these families without answers. They weren't using much equipment, scuba divers and a tow truck with cables & wench.
I cried for the man who lost his wife, can’t imagine losing someone so close and just not knowing what happened, I can’t express how grateful I am for what these men do❤️

They're a bunch of bullies that threaten, bully, and intimidate people into letting them on their property. They basically told an old couple that their viewers will bully and harass them unless they allow them to search their property.
I think this team of divers should be funded by the state..not by donations! They bring closure, answers and peace into people's lives. Excellent recovery methods. Australia 👊
"It's been 146 weeks ago" The man has been counting the weeks, days, and probably even hours since his wife disappeared. My heart goes out to him I can't imagine his pain.
@KimuTone Yes, it is costly but the state's only income is the taxes people pay. When government does more for us, taxes go up. I don't know anyone willing to pay more and more taxes.
I think it's better to just look at it like it takes a community. Police alone can only do so much and no more being split in multiple different directions. Civilian justice isn't always accurate though but it definitely has proven to be useful many times.
I wonder what all these people thought when law enforcement were spending thousand of man hours looking for Gabby Pettito? And here they couldn't locate their loved ones!
It's awesome to see these guys getting the recognition they deserve lately. I've been donating to them for over a year now and consider it money well spent.

How does one guy solve more than 10 cold cases in a year, when entire police forces couldn't? It's definitely not lack of man power. But lack of motivation and a Lack of training.
When the government can't get the job done, and it's a job the government should be doing, you know that rich people aren't paying a fair share of taxes, if they pay any taxes at all. Otherwise the government would have enough resources to do the jobs we tell them to do.
Let me rephrase that: It's kind of a shame how a lot of murders get swept up as a cold-case and never get solved, Scuba Divers here did more police work then the police within a day.
Two years ago a friend of mine went missing under suspicious circumstances. It took almost a year to get answers, but she was found floating, hardly recognizable, in the harbour of the city she was last seen in.... found by a worker on the pier. Really does raise questions as to how hard the police really do look.
To be fair, a body can sink and move with the currents. If the water isn't too cold to inhibit decomposition, bacteria within the body will form gas which will provide buoyancy and allow the body to rise to the surface where it will be found sometimes weeks later. It's very hard to find a submerged body in even a small body of water particularly where there is low visibility. I observed that in almost every location in this documentary the water is turgid. I met someone several years ago who told me his elderly father went missing 10 years previously to our meeting. He left his home one morning to drive his pickup to a doctor's appointment about 20-30 miles away. He was never seen again and this man was heartbroken. My first thought was, "Drag the rivers and any body of water within the range of his truck's fuel mileage. I haven't spoken to this person again and I don't know what action he might have taken.
They dont work very hard. Watch the content from these fellas. They have been harassed and threatened to no end by law enforcement during their recoveries.
That's so weird I came by your comment because the same damn thing happened in my life unfortunately! You could definitely tell by that moment that he really loved her. At least he has closure now. Maybe now he won't be waking in the middle of the night filled with anxiety wondering where his wife is. I'm glad he can finally put her to rest.
Last year there was an accident in Kenya (where I'm from) whereby a vehicle had drove into the ocean. They literally brought in the navy to pull out the car but they failed miserably. Private Divers were the ones who succeeded. Unfortunately, the passengers died. It was a mother and her daughter.
Im so glad you’re showcasing these guys. My grandfather drowned in his car and was missing and I’m so thankful for the person that spotted the car. These guy’s help families put their loved ones to rest and their minds at ease.
I'm just genuinely shocked at how many people have actually drowned in the river trapped inside their own cars. I know that the US is such a massive territory and these tragedies take place during several years or decades but it's still surreal if you think about it.
The car companies which built those cars should _probably_ start investing in a mechanism that allows you to escape from being drowned. I mean, if _any_ see this video. And read this comment.
A good tip THAT SHOULD ONLY BE USED IF NO OTHER OPTION IS LEFT is to allow the car or truck to be completely submerge underwater so that the pressures from the inside and outside equalized allowing you to open the doors.. that is if you somehow hold your breath long enough and remain calm... the proper breathe technique you need to do is to repeated swallowing air down your lungs, barely exhaling to hold in the oxygen.
From what I know, the channels name is Adventures with Purpose. His crews new passion in life is solving cold missing person cases by diving into the deep and finding vehicles, traveling across the country answering people's prayers of finding their loved ones who have drowned. It's amazing 👏
To all criticizing the local governments, I'm sure they could do more. However, underwater recovery can be extremely dangerous and divers have died attempting them. Poor visibility, depth, currents that can drag you deeper, the vehicle shifting, etc. Mad respect to these guys, but no shame either if it's too risky
Fair I would not wanna particularly risk my life for a dead body however these people have my mad respect they have the equipment and the balls to do it
Glad we have a reasonable take in the comment section. So much "cops r bad" without thinking about the logistics and costs associated with recovery operations when they have other high priority matters to attend to
then again, all they really need to do is publicly acknowledge that they don't have the money/expertise needed and appeal to the higher-ups to do something about it...if a few guys can do this road tripping out of a caravan, just imagine what could a state or even federally funded organization do. Hell, even just something like a nation-wide bounty program, so that independent pros from the private sector could afford to chip in without having to rely on random donations from strangers.
But they do talk about lack of funds all the time. Plus doing this as a volunteer is very different than an employer putting an employees life in danger.
They’ve been doing this for a while now. There was a case where the sheriff’s office was way too reluctant to even bother to check when family members knew of a possible waterbody. They were so embarrassed when these guys did what the responsible people should have done.

@@KeyboardBuster I do, as well as many others
@@AceOfHearts777 I stand with their motives, it’s heartwarming to see that they can bring closure to families who really need it, nothing but respect for them
@@KeyboardBuster yours is the type of attitude that drives people off of boat ramps in the first place. Really, everyone else cares. Pull yourself out of the well, don't drag others down. Toughen up princess.
God has a special place for people who help humanity like this.
He’s not helping their for free.
@@MidNiteR32 it's not cheap to have the gear and gasoline to make it to these places, besides I would sell everything I had if it meant getting closure from something like this
Heaven
There is no god. Clearly
They go to hell they dont believe in allah. May Allah be merciful.
Thank you kindly. This was touching
even finding one missing person changes the life of multiple people, gives them some closure and answers. like for Bob, it's incredibly sad to find out his wife had died but he know has the understanding of what happened and can start to process and recover. it's the not knowing that causes the most pain.
He isn't just a diver. He's an underwater angel.
OMG Imagine a guy delivering your body back to the surface
This world needs more people like this that care
I hate when people say this. Then be those people. You don’t need to jump in the river. Go help find missing people
I be glad to be charged for the deaths, along with my own family members deaths, that I bleed daily for especially on 12/25 every year I claim responsible for no matter how they died
We should also try to be those people. I believe in you. Figure out how you want to help. Find a cause to fight for and go fight. We can't wait, we have to take action 💖💖😁
Yes we do.....need people like this fr💛
That must be both an overwhelming sense of relief and utter heartbreaking to finally get an answer to what happened to a missing loved one....
The truck and Tammy were found in only 10 feet of water?? My God this man anguished for so many years not knowing what happened to her. The authorities failed Jared miserably.😥 I'm glad his heart has some peace and he could bury her properly.
Absolutely! And what happened? How did her car get there? ANd her dog was nearby? I want to know more.
And I'm guessing he probably spent at least a little time as at least a "Person Of Interest," if not the prime suspect! Especially if their SAR efforts turned up nothing!
our Sar is also funded by volunteer civilians and donated or out of their pocket equipment to work with.they have literally done the hard and dangerous work of the police and recovered and closed many cases. I guess my point is every county or sector at least should get some help with the monetary part as the labor is voluntary.the state/fed govt especially say it's not in there budget to help with such a group because of lack of money, I said in a letter to the proper channels if that's true that the system is barely getting by where did the 4.2 billion we gave Ukraine in April come from?no response as of yet.
did the wife kill herself ?
I would definitely like to know more also I think this is kind of fishy no pun intended. Truck was backed into the water it came out engine first that don't make sense nobody commits suicide backwards in a vehicle.
Much respect for giving these people closure/answers
HE'S FAKE. . .. I COULD GO TO MY LOCAL RIVER AND DO DIVING, THEN EDIT MY VIDEO SAYING I FOUND SOMETHING. . . TOTALLY FAKE

There is one thing worse than loosing a loved one. And that’s not knowing. At least now these families can start the grieving process. Great job guys
So true! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you all for what your doing x
One of my daughter's 15 year old classmates has been missing for over 30 years. They think it was murder but never discovered her body. There was a tip that she could be found in a body of water. Divers went in but I didn't feel there was a strong effort made to find her. It is a very sad situation. Her grandmother and parents have since passed but she still has aunts, uncles, cousins and others who love her hoping her remains will be found. Just wondering if you would come to Msssachusetts.
If she's possibly in her car. There would be no way at this point to find a body. I'm so sorry.
You would need to contact the divers via email, this is just a RUclips channel that has nothing to do with the divers.
CONTACT JARED HE HAS THE RUclips CHANNEL ADVENTURES WITH PURPOSE SEE WHAT HE TELLS YOU!!!
Thank you all, what caring people, there is more good in the world than not.

Must be so nice for the families to finally know what happened. That would be the worst feeling not knowing what happened to a loved one.
Giving families the answers they seek so desperately about their loved ones is amazing🙏🏻♥️
