- Hydro dipping is a cool way to transfer color to your bike and parts. You need only a bucket or box of water and solvent color to do the hydro dip. I diped some bike parts like a handle bar, stem and seat post. Please find some material I used in the description below:

Holy... first time I saw can hydro dip the whole thing in 1 shot. Never see someone as professional as you, keep it up! 👍🏻👍🏻
That's what I love about you and makes the difference between a professional and a DIY , adjusting the material so that you don't have to touch it with your hands leaving parts uncovered, so many make this mistake. i'm just a DIY too but watching videos taught me a lot before doing it myself, learning from other people's mistakes is a must so you don't do it yourself.
Daaaang...you are really a professional painter and sprayer, Alhamdulillah i found your videos.., Thank you for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
your work is amazing! i love watching your videos! I have been painting since i was 15. I'm 37 now! I keep learning, and you have taught me things i never thought i needed!
Love your videos 🙌🏻 thanks for showing what you know and trying out things, as they say, it inspires us 👌🏻
This is brilliant and brought back memories of playgroup as a kid . I remember creating pictures on paper using an oil based paint using a very similar technique . Adding colours and swirling them together .
I went out yesterday and got a bike from Offer up! It's a fixer upper bike but I'm excited to paint it and just ordered soo many items from Amazon. Thank you for inspiring me to be creative with my bike!
Etoe, take it up a notch. I wanna see you hydro dip a whole bike frame!
Hi Martin, it really looks like you had a lot of fun in this video! I also enjoyed it. You really cover so much if not all we need to know about cycle painting! Machs gut
i did not know this was possible. really good work, thank you for sharing. amazing!
No matter what you do, etoe design is gonna make it in HIGH QUALITY
Professional!
Dude you are amazing. Thanks again. And I really really appreciate your professionalism and dedication to supreme quality. There is nothing else that is acceptable.
Only ever seen this done with pre printed sheets and kind of one-shot per piece.
Never even considered it could be done like this. Super cool, and the way the tissue paper just sucks up all the paint is amazing.
Did you never do the similar thing at you first school blowing the paint colours around in swirls and then using paper to catch the paint ? it brought back some memories watching this :)
Damn, they are so cool!
Next video would be awesome to see camo painting 😍😍
Love all your work!!! Amazing!!!
My girlfriend Sandy was offended by your sanding joke. I told her she was being a bit rough about it.
Hope you managed to smooth things out with Sandy.
She'll get some more grit with time. Then things won't be so abrasive.
I laughed more than I should have lol

Lovely chorizo theme paint!
Brilliant! Keep on posting more please!
Stunning results... thank you for sharing this beautiful pudding in the wall.
This is paint dipping. Hydro dipping is where a film is put on water that has a inked design. Also called water transfer printing.
This IS a film being put on water(hydro) which is transferred to complex shapes that are dipped in. The design being transferred doesn't matter, it can be a screen printed design or swirls like this. This is hydro dipping. Paint dipping would be dunking the parts in a bucket of paint or something.
I thought hydro meant water? Not film.
@@Egypticus the term hydrodipping is a nickname for the process, the correct term is water transfer printing, when you just use spraypaint in water it's called paint dipping. This video shows him dropping paint into the waters surface, and swirling it around. Again water transfer printing utilizes a printed design and a chemical transforming said design into floating ink so it will transfer to painted parts. That's the reason for hiring professionals to do water transfer printing.
fall in love with every your vid! best
it was outstanding when i done it to my BMX .. looking forward for more vids.. keep it up sir
WOW!, for me the pattern looks like its made of wood with red varnish on it amazing.
Such a perfectionist !
that looks sick!
Thank you so much for the videos dud .... respect from 🇲🇦
Came out pretty. Orange marble!
amazing job!
Thanks! This is great! Is it practical to do this for a whole frame? Or does the size and corners just make it too difficult to get a good finish?
Thanks. 👌
you are the best, and the channel the most complete and pro
Wery inspiring!
Gonna try this.
Tanks from Sweden.
Ska du försöka själv eller vet du något ställe som fixar?
Kommer att läsa på och försöka själv. Lär man sig detta går det att göra mycket roligt då jag både håller på med cyklar och bilar.
Roligt med något som man blir unik med.
Amazing result.
I have a specialized allez 2013. The paint isn't exactly messed up but there are some noticeable cracks and chips in the paintwork. I want to spray paint the frame celeste and the decals matte gray.
Martin, you are outdoing yourself at an amazing rate! This was super fantastic. Can you tell us more about the "transparent primer" you mentioned spraying over the dipped color before sanding and applying the final clear coat? Thanks!!
Yes where do you find a clear primer I can't find one anywhere
That is definitely awesome! Can the dipping technique be used on a bicycle helmet as easily?
hi bro!
I'm your korea fan😆
Respect You!!
Hope you guys dont get more cultists presidents, greetings!
Big fan from Philippines!
Refreshing "How to " video , This guy is good
I love your videos. I got inspired by your videos and recently painted my road bike in cadmium red with silver glitter on top. It looks amazing, but I couldn't achieve a high glos finish. For some reason, neither the primer, nor paint, nor clear coat wanted to be wet sanded and would just start washing away. What did I do wrong?
The perfectionist....brilliant ...
top notch work, would love to se it on the bike.
14:13 the OMG hippo
It's always a great video. However I am wondering who would paint this awesome seat post....
OMG, what just happened here?! 🤩... While I was waiting for the new video, I have expected another bike frame painting with spray cans or gun but not hydro painting at all 🤯 Great job, great video and your ideas and skills are amazing! 🤗

I wasn't feeling any of it until 14:46... wow! that is nice!

whoa the mic is picking up your heart beat dude!
Thank you
@etoe I have watched many of your videos for ideas and instructions on how to paint my bike.
What is your opinion on using matt clearcoat? Are they as durable as gloss? What are the pros and cons of matt compared to gloss clearcoat?
This guy might be the most talented artist I've seen, but his damn voice though...... I end up just muting, and can enjoy the art in peace.
Thanks, Martin! I've been all over the internet trying to find a reliable guide for a high quality finish, or let a lone a good looking result in the first place. You're definitely a cut above everything else I've found.
Two questions:
1. You made this video 3 years a go and I'm sure you've learned a lot. Would you do anything differently if you were to hydrodip now?
2. Are any of the steps different if I'm dipping plastic? I assume I'll need a primer for plastic but otherwise the steps should remain the same, yes?
Thanks!
Good music. Super!
Nice job 👌
Is it a good idea to paint on a position where hoods should be and where stem clamps? I got feeling that on a bumps everything will move and paint will be scuffed
Eres un gran artista, saludos desde Bogotá Colombia
Ponle subtítulos en español jejje
U crazy man! Excelent job, when are you gonna use plasti dip???
In a word, Wow!
Very nice job
💪💪💪
Good job
Hi Martin, great job.
What type of Clear Primer did you use? You said it sticks better, and is thicker than standard clear coats. Ideal for getting a pro smooth finish.
If I missed it, please forgive me. Hundreds of comments...
Nice!
Hi Martin!
Going to behydrodipping my fork and stem. I am using all the products you listed in your description for the DIY steps, the spray max 2k primers and clear coats and the humbrol enamel paints. For smoothing the paint after dipping I know you used a professional carbon primer, but for DIY you hadn’t indicated any step for smoothing. Is it okay to do several coats of 2k clear coat, sanding in between, to create a smooth finish? Or should I look for spray a clear carbon primer or clear intercoat like from house of Kolor to achieve the same smooth finish? I intend to lay a logo before the hydro dip. Likely to spray the logo, then mask over the logo before dipping to avoid color under the hydrodip and not having a significant spot of unevenness.
It's so good.
How can i on aluminum?
Amazing video. Can the same process work on aluminium. Thanks
Top wie immer!!!!
good vid thanks m8
ETOE, can I request a vid how to do a chromly paint type using paint can on a roadbike frame?
