Ps:hab mein bike in anlehnung an dein gulf bike lackiert letzen winter, leider alles mit spraydose mangels lackierpistole, ist aber trotzdem toll geworden :) die idee hier lässt meine fingee aber schon wieder jucken ;)
Hi FANTASTIC. I just finished applying the same effect with metallic gold over satin black. I am very pleased with the effect. I went for a slightly different effect to allow more of the base colour (black) to show through. It was easy, you just wrinkle the foil into a smaller size then press into the paint and when you remove it from the paint you stretch it out tight and you end up with a growing mineral structure appearance. Thanks again so much for your inspiriation Frank (Australia)
@@marcelopajueloarteaga814 Of coarse, and also sanded the gold also to reduce the stepped effect of the clear coats. This also softened the gold effect so that it didn’t jump out that strongly. I was going for subtlety.

Martin, Du bist so talentiert. Ich würde Angst haben, hart zu fahren mit deinen Rahmen , weil sie so schön sind. Du hast mich inspiriert, zu versuchen, meinen eigenen Rahmen zu lackieren.
Another masterpiece!!!! For Q&A: Please show us how you prep the frame Martin. We know it's boring but it is such a crucial step of the whole paint job.
Ich war erst skeptisch aber das finish sieht echt hammer aus ... die technik kann man vorallem ja auch für so ziemlich alle Strukturen, wie z.b. Blätter Stoffe ect. die man so findet anwenden ... cooles Video
Absolutely rad video! Will do this to my Niner RLT steel bike comes fall. Right now I do not wish to be without it, but after the summer I think I could manage to be without it for maybe 2 weeks while doing this. Will paint about half of the frame (back end) silver, and the front end black with silver decor like this. Will also, completely shamelessly, copy the color of the logos, but will order pre cut vinyl stickers instead of doing the graphics using spray cans. I know, simple solution, and perhaps not 100% as good looking. But way less chance of me messing it up!
Opens up a whole world of ideas as well . A piece of leather maybe effective as well . Great helpful and inspiring videos you do my friend :) thank you

Hi Etoe I love all your videos. You have such great ideas and perfect execution. I am painting my mountain bike at the moment and planning to apply gold paint foiled over black satin. I am completing the project with spray cans and have some questions please. 1. I love the metallic mineral growth pattern, but do you have any ideas how I might allow for more black to show through (i.e. less gold on the frame)? 2. Once I have applied the foiled paint, would you recommend sanding and if so, with wet rub or scourer? 3. Would you recommend gloss or matt 2K clear as the finishing coat. Thanks for your help and keep the fantastic videos coming. Frank (Australia)
the plastic wrap works OK, better if you just crumple it up in you hand and blot on the wet paint. even better is a plastic shopping bag crumpled in your hand. i tried it the way you did on my CBR and after a couple of tries i found that the shopping bag makes for a more dramatic structure and is far better at layering multiple colors. your version is good though if you are going for the more subdued washed out look. good vid.
I understand the principle, but I have a couple of quick questions : - When you use plastic foil once, do you put paint back on every time? - Once used, do you change sheets each time? Thank you for your answers and your inspiring work. What would be cool is that one day, you show us your material and the use you make of it
