This is absolutely the best I have tried other recipes on RUclips. I’m a 76-year-old single man and I love my sweets. Thank you for the recipe. Although I rather like pecans more than walnuts lol just my own personal preference. Thank you again.
Amazing recipe, I have tried it 5-6 times so far and my friends and family love it. I only make one batch at a time and use 3/4 cup of sugar or sometimes little less than that depending upon how ripe the bananas are: Banana Nut Bread recipe Set Oven to 350 F Grease and flour the pan Mash 2 Bananas 1 Cup all purpose flour + 0.5 TSP baking soda + 0.5 TSP Baking Powder + 0.5 TSP Salt + pinch of cinnamon 1/2 Cup Butter + 3/4 Cup Sugar (Beat them together) Stir in Mashed Banana into Butter and Sugar mix Add 2 beaten eggs to it + 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts. Stir it Pour the wet mixture into dry mixture Mix it together until it is just blended Pour it into the pan Bake for 60-70 mins
Thank you for the reduced recipe for one loaf, I only had mini loaf pans available, so this worked perfectly. 👍🍽️👍 Also, you can 1 tablespoon of sour cream and olive oil. OMG, delicious!
I just did this recipe and it was a winner. My husband loved it. I just added one cup of sugar and it was more than enough as I didn't want it to be too sweet. Great recipe❤
This has got to be one of my favorite recipes on youtube! This banana nut bread recipe is by far the best one of its kind! I've made this recipe at least 20-30 times and every time it comes out amazing! I make mine with half white and half brown sugar. It is so good that I recommend it to anyone wanting tender moist delicious banana nut bread!
I have made this several times and I am addicted. My family also loves it. I cannot wait to make it again for the holiday season. It tastes absolutely delicious. I add 1 1/2 cups of chopped walnuts and I reduce the temp to 340 as my oven runs hot. ..
I recently made this - I used equal parts brown sugar and sugar, also added cinnamon and vanilla. Oh and I added raisins and the bread was so delicious.
I have to tell you. This banana nut bread recipe is fantastic! I followed the recipe to the letter but I only had one loaf pan so with it being big enough I pour the batter into that. When I got it out of the fridge and cut into it and ate it, it was like awesome. And this was my first time making bread, period! BRAVO!!!
I came across your recipe today and I had to try it. What I did add to it was 1tsp. of baking powder, 1 tsp. of cinnamon, 1 cup of chocolate chips. Results.....sinfully delicious! Out of the ball park delicious! Gave some to my neighbor who came over and wanted to try it! Taking her first bite, her eyes opened wide in disbelief of how delicious it was. She left with half a loaf.
This is truly an amazing recipe out of all the ones I've ever tried. But instead of 2 cups of sugar I put one cup of sugar and one cup of brown sugar.its so good !
BEST BANANA NUT BREAD RECIPE EVER!! And it's not just me saying it!! I make this banana nut bread in bulk for friends and family... I make 8 to 14 loaves at a time. Every single person who has ever received a loaf from me said it was the best they have ever had!! Thank you so much for this recipe, this will be my only banana nut recipe I'll ever use!!
Hi, sakineh ahmadi - We spotted your question. The answer is yes, with some adaptations. To use baking powder instead of baking soda, you'll need to use 3 times more baking powder. For example, if the recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of baking soda, you will need to add 3 teaspoons of baking powder. This recipe calls for 2 teaspoons baking soda, so you'll need to replace this with 6 teaspoons baking powder. Baking powder will have a slight effect on the taste of what you are making, but it won’t be significant. Here's a link to the original recipe so you may review all the ingredients: allrecipes.com/recipe/extreme-banana-nut-bread-ebnb/detail.aspx
I always turn to you because I can count on you giving me the easiest way to make great tasting food. The plus is that other posts are 6 minutes long with the first 4 minutes being commercials and the last 2 minutes of the actual recipe. Thank you for making me confident enough to actually say I can do it!!!
If anyone has glass loaf pans and don't want the outside to brown too much, just grease them with a little crisco or butter and cut up brown paper from a lunch bag and line the sides and bottom. The loaves come out perfectly browned but not too dark and the paper makes it so simple to remove from the glass pans.
I have been making this bread for many years, and you can adjust the original recepie with vanilla, rum, Amaretto, and even eggnog. You can freeze it up to 3 months, and is always delicious. I beat it or fold it, and the results are always good. If you beat it it renders 3 loafs instead of 2.
Ingredients: Original recipe makes 2 - 9x5 inch loaves Change Servings 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 cup butter or margarine 2 cups white sugar 2 cups mashed overripe bananas 4 eggs, beaten 1 cup chopped walnuts
3 🍌, 2 cups flour, 2 teaspoons of Baking flour, 1 teaspoon of 🧂. 2 cups of margarine 🧈, and 2 cups of white sugar and mix to smooth and then stir the two cups of smashed 🍌, add 4 beaten 🥚 and 1 cup of chopped walnuts mix. Put the wet ingredients with the dry until blended.
I just made this tonight and OMG! It was LOVE at first bite! Sinful! The best recipe that I have ever tried. Definitely a keeper. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
See Hummingbird cake... Usually an 8 oz can of crushed for 3- 9" round pans, a 9 X 13 or Bundt so should work with this...If there is water in the recipe use the pineapple juice, otherwise strain...Makes it even more moist.
I use vanilla and a dash of cinnamon too...gives it that special flavor otherwise it comes out bland!! Mine is a Mexican American recipe; we love our spices!!😊👍
Oh yes....I forgot to say I use 1/3 cup of sour cream in my banana bread batter; it gives it a moist texture! I also add chopped walnuts and cranberries or raisins sometimes; comes out delicious! This recipe given here is rather bland (ugh) sorry that’s my opinion🤣 the sugar must be reduced when U add the dried fruit too. Try it my way / big difference! Some people use pineapple or apple sauce in their batter; that works nicely too!
I love this recipe. I have made it twice before, always delicious. I have a gluten sensitivity so i use brown rice flour, and I used brown sugar in place of white. Always great.
Looks like a wonderful recipe. Thanks for speaking at a speed that I could get the recipe down. Making it today - my husband is looking forward to. It.
Thanks for your question. You can use self-rising flour in place of all-purpose flour, but you'll want to omit the baking soda and salt in this recipe. Enjoy :)
Just perfect and the best recipe out there it’s better than any store bought and this is where I learned how to make it and when ever I make it it turns out so perfectly delicious thank you for the amazing recipe!
Beautiful. I use brown sugar instead of white, and add 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, one cap full of pure vanilla extract, one tsp cinnamon, and walnuts AND pecans - very decadent!! Crazy good👍
I have made this recipe about 3 times and it always came out AMAZING!!!my butter and sugar didn’t always come out like hers but it still was good♥️thanks for sharing😁
I first made this banana cake a year and a half ago, since then I have made it at least 10 times on the request of my family. Everyone seems to love it. The only thing I did differently was sprinkled crushed pecans and almonds to the top and instead of walnuts in the inside of the cake I used, pecans. It's really delicious! I also used super ripe bananas, when you go to the grocery store, what you want to do is find the bananas that are black. Hope that helps. And thankyou all recipes team for sharing this recipe!
I tried this recipe and was very delicious, but I added only half cup of sugar for 2 cups.. that was enough.. I have also tried this with unbleached whole wheat flour to make it healthy instead of all purpose flour.. it came delicious too.. thank you for the tasty recipe ❤️
O.m.g. it came out reallllllly nice.It was indeed the recipe I had been looking for, very moist & rich in flavour. My hubby loved it.,couldn't help asking more.Made single loaf, turned out perfect.thanks a lot..
I tweaked the recipe a lil and replaced regular flour with organic all purpose Einkorn flour and replaced butter with organic coconut oil and a TblSpn of Sesame oil, I replaced the white sugar with brown cane sugar, added cinnamon and raisins and it turned out phenomenal, everyone loves it. Thanks for this recipe it was literally the easiest to follow.
My is now in the oven. I have no nuts today; I add 2 cups shredded carts and 3/4 cup of coarse granola and decrease the sugar to 1 1/2. And use 2 tsp of baking POWDER ( 1 envelop) I leave in France and it is so cold today ( so a perfect day for Baking ) Merci ! :)
this is my most absolute favorite banana bread recipe. I've used this recipe so many times and me, my family, and friends all love it. definitely recommend this recipe. however, i think i remember this video said to use unsalted butter, but for me i think salted provides better flavor. both work out just fine. :)
Thanks for your question gsooo1. The difference is really just about texture! A banana cake is lighter and fluffier in texture, while banana bread is much more dense and moist. Hope that answers your question! :)
Thanks for your question! Let the loaves cool in the pans for at least 5 minutes, then turn out onto a cooling rack, and cool completely. You can eat them after they have cooled, but ideally, refrigerate the loaves for 2 hours or more before serving. This makes it easier to cut the loaves and also gives time for the flavors to meld. Enjoy :)
I will not gonna lie, I have no doubt: it was the best banana cake of my life. Simple and delicious recipe. I took the liberty to add some raisins and a teaspoon of vanilla essence, the results it was divine, congrats by the wonderful revenue.
It turned out great! My entire family loved it. I have posted my banana bread photo on my Instagram and gave the link to your recipe to all my friends, thank you❤️
Made this recipe two days ago ... it was absolutely delicious.. had a few changes I put vanilla essence , 2 bananas that I had on hand and 3 eggs instead of 4 ... but even then it turned out outstanding.. I’d say definitely better than Starbucks ones ... 👍🏻👍🏻 thank you for the recipe
Got it in the oven as I type this,I also added Semi-sweet chocolate chips... Very easy and I will add this to my Favorates... THANKS 4 the easy RECIPE...
Made it today and it turned out sooo sooo yummy.... Appreciate your video, the measurements are perfect ❤️ Loved it Will try ur other recipes too Thank you for this recipe Love, from India🇮🇳
Hi Zapata Curry, you can certainly use half white sugar and half brown sugar. It won't change the taste much, but it could make the bread more moist! Enjoy :)
This is my go to banana bread recipe. I love this recipe so much I usually add chocolate chips and a bit of baking powder as well... Right now I'm making it
I have done this recipe four times now.. at least. I wrapped them in both parchment paper and aluminum foil. I gave them away as gifts so I'm not sure how they turned out from wrapping them that way. I did put them in the fridge for a few hours prior. But, that was okay, right? Me wrapping them both parchment and foil. I thought the bottom was sticky a little from the moistness and didn't want it to stick too badly to the foil. Thank you for posting this, I love how they turned out. They smell and taste so good. And I was worried at first because I thought I burnt them. :P
I love this recipe so much! Can you please help me figure out why the first time the loaf was tall (did I maybe add all the batter? Almost all of it???) also, sometimes the middle is still raw. Outsides too dark . How do I fix this 😢
The flower helps for it to not stick to the pan. Nonstick cooking spray is good. The flower helps a lot more. It's because of the density and moisture in the batter.
Hey...I've been waiting to make banana nut bread for a couple days now (on purpose)..re using softer bananas/not firm. I've read many recipes & they state to use softer ones. I'll try the way you mentioned but, unfortunately the bananas will be softer. Wish me luck re there's no problems...keeping my fingers crossed, too.😄😄
3 bananas, 2 cups flour, two sticks of butter or margarine, 2tsp baking soda, two cups sugar, 1cup chopped walnuts, 4 eggs, and a pinch of salt :)
Thank you!
Only do one cup sugar and add baking powder too I think it’s much better.
This makes 2 loaves of banana bread.

I love the zucchini bread, i don't like zucchini, just the bread.

Amazing recipe, I have tried it 5-6 times so far and my friends and family love it. I only make one batch at a time and use 3/4 cup of sugar or sometimes little less than that depending upon how ripe the bananas are:
Banana Nut Bread recipe
Set Oven to 350 F
Grease and flour the pan
Mash 2 Bananas
1 Cup all purpose flour + 0.5 TSP baking soda + 0.5 TSP Baking Powder + 0.5 TSP Salt + pinch of cinnamon
