Hey Stu, I think I have watched nearly all your vids now, and you would have to be one of the best shots I have seen. Well done, and who says you need all that new fancy equipment.
Thanks mate, yes I suppose it is what you are used to. I find that a lot of shooters are forcing themselves to 'fit' to a firearm which means they are forcing their shots. A good test next time you raise your rifle to the shoulder close your eyes and when you think that you are set then open your eyes. If your head is too high or out of alignment to the scope or sight then the rifle is not suited. Before I buy a gun or rifle that is what I do as it ensures that when I throw that rifle up I am not taking a split second to find the sight picture. Obviously this is only for extreme snap shots and not the normal shot in the bush.
Stu, the M77 in 30-06 has served you well. Have you had to rebarrel it yet? Also the mounts and scope you use are incredible to hold yp to that abuse and still retain zero!!
Your hunting channel is the best on RUclips If I did not live that far, in the other part of the planet, I would contract your services to go hunting in Australia Warm regards from Argentina
Mate you're bloody lucky to have found a property that lets you hunt on their land, its so hard trying to get permission. Still struggling to find a place to go hunting
This depresses me. I used to have 2 or 3 big trips on the pigs a year and deer hunting and spotlighting foxes every other weekend and midweek sometimes. Now my missus and kids basically means no more hunting. My advice to young fellas who like their hunting is don't get married or have kids. The level of jealousy I have for you guys is extreme.
Your time will come again mate, just do the family thing for a few years and just keep dropping the odd hint about missing the bush. My buddy and I both juggle work and family stuff. In the end it is your life that you are living even a good dad or hubby needs time out every now and then mate.
Stu Laughton haha. I got that reply as I chased a tantrumimg kid around the shop trying to get the grocery shopping done. And that's after having cancelled a trip over to eildon cause wife sick in bed.....as usual. Fml.
DAMN! You blasted the sh*t out of those hogs LOL! You won't be seeing anymore white piggies there anymore after you "sorted out" that big white boar! SUBSCRIBED!
Not too bad with the ol’ Ruger mate :) Any reason you choose it?... control feed.. left hand.. just cos? Reckon you’d do alright with a drop box mag with top loading like a Sako.... maybe something belt fed would do you justice ;) What ammo do you use in the rifle and shotties?
Got the Ruger years ago as I was after a leftie in 30/06. This one was on the shelf so i bought it. It has been a great rifle. The shotty uses AAA Alphamax and sometimes Winchester Defender ammo mate which is a solid with 3 x ball bearings, hits hard.
Stu you are outstanding marksman and I noticed you have a left handed bolt. but why do you take down your rifle each time to bolt it. are you catching your empty shells for reloading. you still get the job done. your mate is no slouch he is a great shooter also
WOW That looks like a lot of fun shooting hogs during the day easy as pie Them things are never out in the day where I hunt in Texas and I have to wait all night sometimes only to find none of them show up but hog hunting is like fishing where I hunt so some nights I get a bite others I do not and all the excitement is waiting for them to bite That thermal scope Ed brought out in one of my videos sure helped a lot and I plan on getting one in a few months so hunts might be a lot more fun then but for now I will just use the LED light setup that seems to work better now that I have two on one pole Hope to get one this weekend but like I say it is like fishing so I never expect to catch one and the fun is in the waiting for a bite
Gday Stu, mate love the videos, your a ripper shot on running pigs with a rifle..... For a lefty, lol I'm a lefty also. When's the next trip/vid? Keep them coming! Cheers, Mark
The 223 is a great little cal mate. I reckon the Howa is value for money. Just be prepared that on a big old boar with dry crusted mud will stop a 223 bullet penetrating. In these cases just aim for the but of the ear if possible.
Do you eat all of these? No wrong answer. I don’t even hunt but I love watching these feral hog hunting videos. We don’t have many in Chicago (that’s s joke). There are some videos of hunts in turkey, I believe, and these guys can’t hit the broad side of a barn. You guys are great shots.
Thanks mate no we don't eat them as we are there to thin out numbers on this farm. Within a week the carcasses are eaten by other hogs, foxes eagles etc.
That’s what I guessed. I lived in Melbourne for a year for work. What a wonderful country and hope to be back someday. Keep it safe for the animals that belong there!
I use micro aimpoint on my marlin 45-70 which is good for close in work and sako 308 I have a 3x9 on top... magic set up....pig hunting is unreal fun, really gets the blood pumping...
I have 3 x firearms to my name: the Adler, my 30/06 and a Winchester 30/30! If you were only going to have the one firearm then I would recommend the 30/30 mate.
Thanks Stu. I have a few calibers that can easily take pigs (all bolt), but thinking of a mix of capacity and quicker target acquisition. Cheers, and keep the vids coming.
Happy with the Adler? I also took mine away in June and ended up not taking out. Just never got around to it this time. Spewing as there were a couple of mobs where I could have really used it.
Yeah mate, we were out Thallon way and there were a few around the cropping country. Bloody dry though all around that area. Last morning we got 35 pigs around a chick pea crop between three of us, and only covered 11k's on the bikes. Had a long line of them run right past me, wish I'd had the Adler then, would have been fun. Mine's got a Bushnell TRS-25 on top and is sighted for slugs too, in case I want to do that.
Doh, I have mine on a head band as soon as I leave camp just in case. These days my first reaction to pigs is to turn on the camera then lift the rifle. However, I have got it ass about sometimes, ha.
Good question mate. My 3 top rifles and cal that I have used with great success is: Winchester 30/30; Parker Hale 243; and Ruger MK11 30/06. The 243 was great but lacked knockdown power on the big boars if I didn't head shoot them. The 30/30 lacked distance as it is a carbine and short barrel. However, the 30/06 has it all, knockdown power, long range and the bullets are readily available at all gunshops if you run out when out in the field.
Hey mate, We go to a property up near Warren and it's on the Macquarie River, right now we're lucky to get 1 in a few days. We're thinking next trip go a little further to Nyngan. We know someone with a property there. Just wondering if you would know what the pigs are like there. Also do you reload your brass?
Good idea mate, yes I do reload my brass. I do a batch when I have 100 cases. I used to hunt on a property out from Nyngan called Colane which is right on a dirt road. About 30k out of Nyngan if I recall.
Thank you. I had no interest in shotguns until I watched you taking pigs out like that. I purchased one Adler each for myself and the wife just because of the enjoyment we got watching you. Well done mate
Full choke with SGs I reckon the 18 pellet version rather than the 9 pellets. Ref the Shotty choice. I was also looking at the pardus but was talked out of it by the gunshop as they don't have the backup or warranty that the Adler has. 5 year warranty for the adler and all parts etc are here in Australia. Whereas if the pardus stuffs up then the only parts are in Turkey!
Gday Stu, love your vids, reminds me of my days pig shooting on the Culgoa river north of Hebel Qld in the late 70s early 80s, massive numbers back then, sadly much of the country is now cotton farms like Cubbie station, and not being picky but one of the shots taken with somebody out in front of field of fire had me thinking hmm I would have held off on that one, you know the one I mean??.
I can sleep well tonight knowing there’s a few less pigs out there devouring our planet. All these films about”apes” taking over the planet, who would have thought “pigs” beat them to it!
Hi mate I also shoot a winchester 30/30 and a Ruger bolt action rifle. Check out my video called: Explaining running shots as I have all my guns in that clip mate.
I reload the 30/06 mate and do a batch of 100 when I have that many cases to reload. I tend to stick with 150grn projectiles, however, this last batch I was given some assorted bullets some 150grns, some 165grn and 180grns so hopefully that won't affect my point of aim much as the average running shot is between 20 to 100m.
Pigs are where ya find em mate. Depending on the property ie: does it have dams and a river frontage? Or is it mainly bush? Pigs are hunted according to where they live and their habits dictated by the property and what it has to offer
Thanks mate, I do need to sort out the best sgs for the gun and I think I have found them. Winchester Defender PDX1 which fires a solid slug including 3 x pellets.
Hey Stu, I think I have watched nearly all your vids now, and you would have to be one of the best shots I have seen. Well done, and who says you need all that new fancy equipment.

Ditto! Your Ruger looks "well used" but still working fine. What caliber is it? Stuart in the USA
MrTaco250 I recall him commenting that its a 30-06
Stu, the M77 in 30-06 has served you well. Have you had to rebarrel it yet? Also the mounts and scope you use are incredible to hold yp to that abuse and still retain zero!!

Thanks mate, pleased you like my channel. Argentina has some great hunting though.
I just subscribed, I watch this channel all the time. Might as well. Awesome Channel
Thanks mate
Mate you're bloody lucky to have found a property that lets you hunt on their land, its so hard trying to get permission. Still struggling to find a place to go hunting
Yes it is hard mate, just keep door knocking and someone will give you access.
If you don't mind me asking how do you find property do you door knock or call up?
Door knock mate. Don't take guns or wear cams just spend a weekend driving around out west and drop in to the odd property and introduce yourself.
Cheers mate, yeah it's a bit harder for young guys because so many others and ruined it for everyone else
@@HuntingwithStu hi mate whot is the biggest pig you got
you guys are having waaay to much fun please keep them comming great video
Thanks mate
Another enjoyable video keep up the great work
Thanks, will do!
This depresses me. I used to have 2 or 3 big trips on the pigs a year and deer hunting and spotlighting foxes every other weekend and midweek sometimes. Now my missus and kids basically means no more hunting.

Ha, your time will come mate, you should have brownie points for looking after a sick missus
Nah your just a pushover
Just do it mate she can’t stop you from doing what you love/wanna do.
She wouldn’t like it if you told her she can’t do what she wants to do.
great video mate! making it look easy!
Thanks mate
Love your vids mate keep up the good work
Thanks mate
Their popping up everywhere Stu, you need a collection for more ammo.
Yes mate I do
Free hand at running pigs !! That's bloody impressive shooting mate ..
Thanks mate, I suppose we have honed our skills as often the only targets are running ones.
Great video as always Stu 👍🏼 love ya work
Thanks mate.
Great shooting. Keep up the good work...
Thanks mate will do
Great video guys.
Thanks mate
This is what all hunting videos should be. Thumbs up!
Thanks mate, I video things how it happens.
Great shot there Stu where you were leading him, good stuff mate...
Thanks mate
Lol. 14:49 "he didnt like it....especially that fourth one".....camera pans to the fourth hog with no scalp. Too much fun. Great shooting.
Some of those big boars are taking 3 - 4 shots to bring them down. Tough hides up that way.
Yes mate they are tough animals. This is why we use 30/06 with at least 150grn projectiles on em as this generally sorts em out quick.
DAMN! You blasted the sh*t out of those hogs LOL! You won't be seeing anymore white piggies there anymore after you "sorted out" that big white boar! SUBSCRIBED!
Great vid as usual guys keep it up,its been a very long time since seeing pigs in them numbers.
Thanks mate, yes the conditions are good at the moment
Another day in paradise Stu🤠
Big fan really enjoy and a sub. What happens to the kills ? More trips please in the canoe sneaking up on them lol
Thanks mate. We leave them as the farmer wants us to cull as many as possible while we are there.
I have never seen white hogs like that! Here in Texas I haven't even seen the all blonde hogs. The are usually black or mottled. Another great video!
Thanks mate yes we get all colours but normally black.
Same here in deep east Texas
SWEET ACTION. MAKES ME HUNGRY FOR MY NEXT TRIP!
Good stuff mate
Man you guys were cleaning out the donut shops!
Looks like a bunch of fun!
Yup
Love your work
Thanks mate
Old mate must be deaf by now, shooting the shottie over his shoulder 👍🤣
Man you fellows need to upgrade to an SKS and get away from that bolt action. Great video and good shooting.
Thanks mate, an SKS would take the fun out of it, ha.
I really enjoy watching your vids mate :) we do the same kind of trips as you
Keep the vids coming mate I will start recording ours as well :)
Good stuff mate. Yes I like to record as much as I can to look back on.
I recently purchased a Sako a7 7mm-08 and I am absolutely loveing the calibre and the rifle, have you ever considered buying a Sako or 7mm-08?
Mate my fav rifle is a left handed Sako 85 Hunter! The 7mm family are a great hard hitting cal mate.
Stu you are outstanding marksman and I noticed you have a left handed bolt. but why do you take down your rifle each time to bolt it. are you catching your empty shells for reloading. you still get the job done. your mate is no slouch he is a great shooter also
Thanks mate, yes it is a habit to catch the shells as I do reload.
Awesome stuff! 👍👍😎
Thanks 👍
LOL,i don't know where you are Stu but there's no shortage off the bloody things, its like a shooting gallery mate, lol.
Yes mate there are a few around
WOW That looks like a lot of fun shooting hogs during the day easy as pie
Them things are never out in the day where I hunt in Texas and I have to wait all night sometimes only to find none of them show up but hog hunting is like fishing where I hunt so some nights I get a bite others I do not and all the excitement is waiting for them to bite
That thermal scope Ed brought out in one of my videos sure helped a lot and I plan on getting one in a few months so hunts might be a lot more fun then but for now I will just use the LED light setup that seems to work better now that I have two on one pole
Hope to get one this weekend but like I say it is like fishing so I never expect to catch one and the fun is in the waiting for a bite
Good stuff mate, yes we have pigs that are out during the night but also during the day.
Great video! What are you running in those shotguns? Slugs? And what caliber is your ruger m77? Keep the videos coming
SGs in the shotty and the rifle is a 30/06 mate
Great job man
Thanks mmate
Mate best videos. What reddot(reticle) is your mate using?
I think Steve uses an aimpoint mate. However, if you get on his channel 'Hunting with Steve' he will answer your question.
You’re a bloody good shot!
Thakns mate
Good shooting stu wish I could come hunting with you it’s been my dream
Thanks mate, where do you live?
Nsw what about you
Hunting with Stu I live in New South Wales what about you mate
Sydney mate, just wondering if you are on the way out where we hunt.
Hunting with Stu I live in Sydney to
Hey Stu....you guys should come to South Texas for hog hunting....endless hogs ...
That would be great mate. I'm a member of Texas Hog Hunters on FB
Gday Stu, mate love the videos, your a ripper shot on running pigs with a rifle..... For a lefty, lol I'm a lefty also. When's the next trip/vid? Keep them coming!
Cheers, Mark
Thanks mate, I'm heading out again at the end of this month so stay tuned.
How’s your shoulder after trips like this stu? 30/06 with a 12g must be black and blue. What size pill you use through the Ruger?
I don't really feel the recoil mate. I prefer 150grn noslers mate. 130grn are too light and 180grn and above are too heavy.
What's your opinion on using a .223 for hunting? Most specifically a Ruger gunsite/American, or Howa varmint/Mini action?
The 223 is a great little cal mate. I reckon the Howa is value for money. Just be prepared that on a big old boar with dry crusted mud will stop a 223 bullet penetrating. In these cases just aim for the but of the ear if possible.
Do you eat all of these? No wrong answer. I don’t even hunt but I love watching these feral hog hunting videos. We don’t have many in Chicago (that’s s joke). There are some videos of hunts in turkey, I believe, and these guys can’t hit the broad side of a barn. You guys are great shots.

Nice setup mate.
Good footage as in all you vids mate. Was thinking of 30-30 lever, but tossing up for an Adler now. What would you advice be??
I have 3 x firearms to my name: the Adler, my 30/06 and a Winchester 30/30! If you were only going to have the one firearm then I would recommend the 30/30 mate.
Thanks Stu. I have a few calibers that can easily take pigs (all bolt), but thinking of a mix of capacity and quicker target acquisition. Cheers, and keep the vids coming.
No worries mate
Thanks 😊 guys 👦 👦 👦 👦 for the accion 🎬 action 🎬!!
Our pleasure mate
I ❤ really enjoy your shows. It takes to fresh air, open spaces out of the concrete jungle! Thanks boys and girls for the action 🎬 you provide!!
Happy with the Adler? I also took mine away in June and ended up not taking out. Just never got around to it this time. Spewing as there were a couple of mobs where I could have really used it.
Yes mate I am happy with it. Lot s of pigs about then?
Yeah mate, we were out Thallon way and there were a few around the cropping country. Bloody dry though all around that area. Had a long line of them run right past me, wish I'd had the Adler then, would have been fun. Mine's got a Bushnell TRS-25 on top and is sighted for slugs too, in case I want to do that.
Good stuff mate. You should put a sony action cam on your head to record things like those pigs running past
I had a camera but didn't wear it, both times I never wore it there were good mobs. I've got some footage of previous times on my channel.
Doh, I have mine on a head band as soon as I leave camp just in case. These days my first reaction to pigs is to turn on the camera then lift the rifle. However, I have got it ass about sometimes, ha.
What is you all time favorite pig gun?
Good question mate. My 3 top rifles and cal that I have used with great success is: Winchester 30/30; Parker Hale 243; and Ruger MK11 30/06. The 243 was great but lacked knockdown power on the big boars if I didn't head shoot them. The 30/30 lacked distance as it is a carbine and short barrel. Stu Laughton Thanks mate.
Love your videos, great stuff. I know you love your old guns, but wouldn't a .308 BLR with a 10 shot mag be right up your alley?
Thanks mate and yes it would be a good rifle for what we do.
Mate these vids are unreal!! very realistic to what you actually find when shooting and not these fantasy vids finding mobs of 30 every time.
Thanks mate
What calibre was your mate using?
He uses a 30/06 as well mate.
Hi Stu I know it maybe a dumb question. But what do you do with all the pigs you shoot ?
We leave them mate as we are not set up nor licensed to take the meat.
Great clips
Thanks mate
synthetic nz .The name says it all.
write me what is called bron lever action 12 guage. Who produces it and what model it is.
The shotgun is an Adler 12ga made in Turkey mate.
Great job and keep up the good work. These things are out of control. May I ask what choke you are using on Adler.
Thanks mate, running a modified choke
Thank you. I had no interest in shotguns until I watched you taking pigs out like that. I purchased one Adler each for myself and the wife just because of the enjoyment we got watching you. Well done mate
Mate you really enjoying life buddy eat sleep hunt repeat 🤣🤣
Yes mate it is a good life.
Do you reload your own rounds to keep the cost down!
Yes mate I reload the 30/06 and now that I'm using the 30/30 more I will dust off the reloading dies for the 30/30 and reload them.
Good shooting, wish I could be there
Thanks mate
Great going !!
Thanks mate
love the videos, i live in Fla n just want to know if you eat them or just kill them? but either way keep up the video's!!
We do eat them but generally the farmer wants us to spend the time hunting so no time to spend butchering them up.
Nice Shooting Stu! How do you find the Adlers?
Cheers, ASC.
The adler is so much better than my old AIC cowboy gun that's for sure!
nice! What rounds were you using? 00Buck? I'm currently deciding between a Pardus and an Adler :)
Cheers, ASC.
Cheers for the info Stu! Can't wait for the next video mate :-)
Cheers, ASC.
New clips up now mate
Gday Stu, love your vids, reminds me of my days pig shooting on the Culgoa river north of Hebel Qld in the late 70s early 80s, massive numbers back then, sadly much of the country is now cotton farms like Cubbie station, and not being picky but one of the shots taken with somebody out in front of field of fire had me thinking hmm I would have held off on that one, you know the one I mean??.
Yes mate you are right, I should have let him go a bit more out of the scene. Thanks for the support n feedback mate.
stu you remind of a mate from my army days funny as fuck .great vids thanks.
I might be that army mate! 36 years got out last year mate
What kind of rifle and caliber does your partner use ?
He also uses a 30/06 mate
Good shooting brother.which telescope you use.
My brother in law gave it to me. It is a 3 to 9 Burris Full field II mate.
Reckon you guys could use a Browning BLR or a Maral...
Yes mate it would be an advantage.
I can sleep well tonight knowing there’s a few less pigs out there devouring our planet. All these films about”apes” taking over the planet, who would have thought “pigs” beat them to it!
Yes mate we have more pigs in Australia than people. Over 20 million.
What action and caliber
A110 Adler lever action.
what brand of shotgun shells do you use???
I will be trying out the ELEY sgs next trip mate as they are recommended.
Now what happen to the charging boar mate
He died a trying his best to sort me out mate
Stu your rifle ejector seems to be broken, just like mine.
Probs right mate
What's the name of that lever action shotgun?
It is a Turkish made A110 Adler mate
Thank you sir.
Awesome
Great shooting guys can I come
Thanks mate.
Do you guy's ever use any of the meat for your self's or do you give it away or do you leave it in wood's.
We leave it mate as these pigs are diseased.
I have seen a couple people shoot rifles free hand but this guy is good
Thanks mate
YOU going to need a butcher shop!
Hey stu it's Joshua again what kinda guns do you shoot the gun I like Is the shotgun
Hi mate I also shoot a winchester 30/30 and a Ruger bolt action rifle. Check out my video called: Explaining running shots as I have all my guns in that clip mate.
Ok thanks mate I miss pig hunting and do you live where you pig hunt or do you get permission to hunt on the property
Where do you go shooting Stu..?
West NSW Mate
What u do with the pigs
We leave them
hey mate what ammo are you running or do you reload ?
I reload the 30/06 mate and do a batch of 100 when I have that many cases to reload. I tend to stick with 150grn projectiles, however, this last batch I was given some assorted bullets some 150grns, some 165grn and 180grns so hopefully that won't affect my point of aim much as the average running shot is between 20 to 100m.
How do you like the Adler?
The adler is a tough solid shotty that needs to be worked hard. I like it mate.
Hunting with Stu Sounds like a good levergun. Wish we could get them in the states. Love your vids.
Can't you get Adlers in the States?
The guy over the back of the pigs moved quick, after you started firing
Yes mate ha
Australia?
Yes mate
Damn good shooting.
Thanks mate
Are they good to eat, or simply pests?
Both mate
great video man, are you using slugs on the shotguns or? :)
SGs mate, however, I am looking at using a slug combo 3 x pellets next time.
please yeessss you will see no more runners 1 shot and hit the ground cheers
Picked up a pack of slug pellet combo the other day
love it mate, where is your son lives in Amsterdam, has he or do you have facebook
Not sure exactly where he lives as he moves around a bit.
I am going hunting for pigs in September near Nyngan do you think there will be much pigs
Pigs are where ya find em mate. Depending on the property ie: does it have dams and a river frontage? Or is it mainly bush? Pigs are hunted according to where they live and their habits dictated by the property and what it has to offer
it has dams and i think rivers
Check the dams of an arvo and if it is summer then paddle down the river during the day to catch pigs wallowing along the banks.
ok thanks mate
Fucked if i can shoot of the shoulder like you guys.i shake around like ive got the dt's lol
Ha, it takes practice mate.
Do u want help with pigs cause I mad crazy friends out at tipla if your round there
I don't go as far as Tilpa mate.
Hey mate. You ever taken some pork for a feed??
Yes mate
Hunting with Stu I love bush pig. Lovely eating. Keep the good videos coming!!
Looks like you shot them all stu ))
One would think so mate but every time we leave the property after a successful hunt we see more pigs!
Mate what rifle are you using
Ruger MKII M77 in 30/06 mate
Can you use a M1 garrand its Semi auto Mate
Not on my license but they are used in Australia
good shooting Stu
Thanks mate, I do need to sort out the best sgs for the gun and I think I have found them. Winchester Defender PDX1 which fires a solid slug including 3 x pellets.
