I want to make one between a wall and a pillar. Should I use these or a post piece at the ends?

Did anyone catch how many 8ft poles were used to make that much rail?

At the height of this rail you can get three pillars out of an 8 foot pole. The top and bottom are dependent upon the length. Hope this answers your question.

YOU DON'T SAY THE TREATED GARDEN POLES ONLY LAST ABOUT THREE TO FOUR YEARS ,

We’ve used these in the garden and on the ground they last about 3 to 4 years for sure. One of those rails, the darker one, Removed from the other porch and that one is about 10 years old. Because they’re not right on the ground they’ve lasted a lot longer.
