Mate, amazing job and great transformation of the balcony.👌🏽 Top job, be a nice place to sit and have breakfast, now to make an outdoor setting for that area.👍🏽
If you're watching from Canada or US, check your local codes - as this design is probably not code compliant. The height looks too low, and that base attachment does not look like it would meet the 500lb horizontal load resistance requirement used in many places.
Nice work indeed. However, it's kind of sad watching videos like this one - unless you have access to a fully equipped wokshop with zillions of woodworking machines. I think most of us only have a few handsaws, a hammer, an power screwdriver and maybe an electric grinder we can use; thus I'd really appreciate DIY videos about things you can do with just those basic tools.
The sadness comes from knowing how brutally dangerous this railing really is. Worst railing I have ever witnessed. Someone will die as a result of this poorly built safety structure.
@@williardbillmore5713 I have the same thought as you do. I would'nt trust my young grandkids to stay in that area. If your building a fence or railings, it's important to secure rigidly all the posts first.
I have most of the small equipment a diy'er will have and can make a lot of projects with them. My problem now is the place where I could work on because I am now living in a small apartment. My tools are all in storage,,,,lol

Judging from how far the apparent drop to the plaza below is, and how low the railing is. I would have to call this dangerous design and poor workmanship a death trap. This railing could not be more than 26 or 27 inches high. The perfect trip height to send someone into a nose dive towards the pavement below.
This safety guard railing is incredibly dangerous and does not come close to meeting International Residential Building Code anywhere in the world. Left in place it will most likely kill somebody.
@@dawnd4471 This is what you get when a furniture maker tries to built something as utilitarian as a safety guard railing on a second floor deck. It's scary how truly dangerous this "structure" really is.
Water will not seep into the holes you drilled into the roof? Will it not cause water to seep into your walls and stuff? You also placed one of your supports against the water drainage
It is a horrible and irresponsible thing for you people to be praising the builder for building a railing that will assuredly KILL someone if left in place. SHAME ON YOU ALL!
The height of this safety railing looks to be no more than two feet...Well below the required 4 feet for a deck of this height above the street below. An adult of average height will easily fall OVER the top rail, probably to their death, even if the structure doesn't break away, which it looks like it likely will. This is the most dangerous deck railing I have ever seen. This deck is many times MORE DANGEROUS with this railing than it was with nothing at all. With no railing the dangers were obvious without the FALSE sense of security the railing's presence now implies. In my opinion this video is classed as CRIMINAL CARPENTRY.

Me encantó. Es lo que buscaba para mi balcón.
Good job 👍🇧🇷
Good job if he is trying to kill someone perhaps...
Good IDEA brathers 👍

Other than using plastic inserts intstead of metal anchors and screws instead of lag bolts, nice job.
Not a nice job. A deadly job. This is a death trap.
What kind of wood is that, and the glue used?

Estou impressionado, meus parabéns!
Você deve ficar impressionado com o quão perigoso é esse corrimão. É uma armadilha mortal.
جميل، لكن البراغي قصيرة بعض الشيى
it's good only for looks but is not safe.
Sooo long to anyone who leans against it! Looks good though.

Height isn’t adequate and not properly secured to concrete. I have to agree with you.

You have to give measurements too, because measurements help a new person like me to understand , like length, width, thickness etc
It would never pass inspection in the U.S.

Yes. This is the exact reason why I don't want to install these kind of railing
