My family and I used Singapore Airlines exclusively back in the summer of 2010 for our round trip (Houston - IAH to Manila, with stops in Moscow and Singapore), using their 777-300 ER and 777-200 for the Singapore - Manila legs. Spent about 51 hours in the air total. We received the best, most extraordinary service and hospitality from any airline during those 50+ hours traveling. I would rate Singapore Airlines an A+++ grade.
Singapore airlines is awesome, i flew them april 2021 Seoul-SIN-BKK , experienced golf cart service to the transit hotel because arriving from certain countries are not allowed to walk the terminal alone around that time. The aircraft was very full in business but for me in economy i didnt have to wait at all at the economy check in and had lots of seats. The bangkok flight was busy. Also seemed like the expanded economy tickets into premium economy as i selected window seat myself on an economy ticket for free at checkin.

Small, narrow, hard. I have broad shoulders and couldn’t sit straight in the seat. Torso twisted to the right, but feet twisted to left. Wifi not working for the whole flight. The A380 product is just so much better. Will never book an A350 flight on SQ again…

I flew back from SIN to SFO on business class and felt something is missing other than the menu and magazines. The SIA service still the best and crew are amazing and highly recommended. Thanks Sam for sharing your experience with us.
I flew Singapore Airlines business from Heathrow to Adelaide. Wonderful inflight service as always. My only criticism was the lack of communication that flights from certain countries would be "confined" to an enclosed area called a "transit hold area" and we would not be allowed access to the lounge or shops, which makes Changi Airport iconic. In the "transit hold area" we also did not have access to any complimentary drinks or food and I found this space very limited for a 6 hour layover. Singapore Airlines should have communicated that to all passengers really clearly as that really impacted on my flight experience.
@@rickylocock9068 If you want to wander around Changi, yes you do. As for communicating being restricted in transit hold area, SA explains this if you go to your booking detail and on the COVID restrictions page.

As someone from Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific had once been my favourite airlines. But that position has long been taken over by Singapore and Emirates. I have yet to try Etihad once the pandemic eases.

Sam, I love you channel. You are speaking my language: Travel. I’ve always been interested in aviation, love language learning and understanding of other cultures. I haven’t been to Singapore in 2 years so I’m glad things are starting to open up again. I haven’t flown on Singapore Airlines and I’ve heard it has great service. I flew United’s Polaris Business Class when I went which was good. Covid has definitely changed the way we travel and it just requires some flexibility with all the new requirements. It won’t hold me back from traveling. Thanks for your video.
I flew with Singapore Airlines few months ago, in premium economy. Such a great experience. The cabin crew is truly devoted, spacious seats, great experience
Having lived in Singapore for a few years, travelling on SQ was a much better "home" airline than BA ever was. The crew on SQ are always amazing and the product is also great. I haven't had the privilege of flying their new business class, so it's great to see a review of it :)
It is amazing how 'new' this video is and it really gives you a 'feel' of the current state of the World as we travel this uncertain road of COVID. Be safe Sam and ty.
They won't be for very long, if they continue to downgrade their service. No welcoming drink in business. No longer any printed menus provided. Food served up in cardboard boxes and only icecream as a dessert in economy. Lesser known airlines are doing a far better job at the moment.
I have been following your videos for years it’s so good to see airports full again my heart is racing with excitement at the thought of a long haul flight again thank you for all the wonderful videos
I have flown 2 times (1996 and 2006) with Singapore Airlines AMS-SIN-DPS. Singapore Airlines is one of the best airlines ever I have flown with. The crew and food were absolutely great! I would love to fly with them once again!!
In the past it was really a great way to fly ... when I came across SQ in the late eighties and early nineties... when they operated the B747-200, B747-300 called Big Top and then SIA changed to the B747-400 Mega-Top. On the dash 200 you had multi sector flights, ie SIN MLE BAH VIE AMS, or SIN DXB CAI VIE, or SIN ATH VIE CPH... and almost on every single sector a full hot meal tray service with 2-3 choices in EY class.
Thank you Sam for taking this flight. It is so nice to see the inside of our terminal through your video during this season. Hope you enjoyed your transit in SG!

SQ and Scoot really dependable from hK to oz during covid-no sudden cancellations, overbooking, gouging etc. Fast refunds. CX the opposite but now ok. Kudos to SQ. Reliable. I even got a sudden flight hk to oz at last minute in july, despite oz quotas.
Nice SQ review, Sam. Thank you. I was especially pleased to see the new SilverKris lounge. I never minded the old lounge, but I do understand it needed a refurbishment after 14 years.
I flew with sq 468 from sg to colombo... amazing hospitality services. It's one of a kinda, unlike any other airliners. I flew on a economy class seat, but let me tell u this, it was equlilent to a business or first class in cheap airline.had good food. Thank you SIA. fly high!
Sam nails it on the head: consistency is the key to SQ's success (and to anyone else's for that matter), and discipline in the execution of their game plan through rigorous training. Last long haul SQ flight I took was EWR-SIN, and it was flawless (and peerless), from check-in at EWR to baggage delivery at Changi, every step of the way A fve star experience, always.
Singapore Airlines is amazing. I flew them twice on the 30th of October - the 1st of November (LHR-SIN, SIN-AKL) on business class. Changi was crazy quiet, but great service and overall a great flight.
Also, I love how all Singapore Airlines' planes have bright red paint at the tip of the pods attached beneath each wing. It mimics their female cabin crew with red-painted nails! I am loving this simple yet distinctive signature look!
Thanks Sam. Really enjoyed watching this one. Singapore air is my favourite airline and the best airline in the world. I travelled with them once a year return Cape Town to Korea for 15 years. I only flew Singapore air. So nice to see Changi again.
Singapore airlines is anyday better than Emirates. Rest assured Emirates can never match their onboard passenger-friendly service, atleast not in the near future.
Big fan of Emirates, but my last week flight from dubai was disappointing, forgot to serve me food and when they did it nearly made me throw up a few times, although the aircraft and crew was awesome
Back in 2000 we went to Taiwan on the Singapore "Megatop" 747-400. Business Class. (or Raffles Class as they called it) The service was absolutely second to none. On the way back we had to fly Economy but even so the service in Economy was still incredible. Best of all as Dad flew a lot for business at the time on Ansett, he was able to pay for the whole thing using his Global Rewards points, and I recall it didn't cost us a cent.
It is so nice to hear the announcement "end of the walkway" in bangkok again. Thanks for the nice video from the airports and airlines that we miss so much :-)
Hi Sam, only watched the video now, but I totally agree with your comments about Singapore Airline's consistent and discipled service. Whether onboard or in the airport, it's the same. I simply LOVE flying Singapore Airlines and it is simply the best experience to fly. Yeah, Emirates and other airlines are good too but SIA (for me) just has that edge above the rest. As a citizen of Singapore and being only 13 rn, when SIA is such a successful airline now, I am very proud to see this. Choosing it as my main airline other than scoot, Singapore’s current budget airline for international transportation was the choice i never regret. Having been on quite a few other airlines like Cathay Pacific and Eva Air, nothing beats SIA imo still. Im going on the flight sq850 from SIN to CAN this holiday, hope it still leaves a smile on my face still!(nvm it WILL)
Great video! I was pleasantly surprised to see a nonstop flight to Tel Aviv on the departure board. I didn’t expect that, but there’s always hope for peace.

Nice video Sam 🥰🥰 Hopefully I could still fly to SIN in June for exchange so that I could take SQ for that trip. Wish things are working fine even under the Omicron pandemic.
Interesting video as always. Seems Singapore Airlines is cutting down on Food Options. Portions in economy seemed very small too. I guess you can blame all on COVID now.
Watching your videos makes me so eager for my next trip on a plane. With the whole pandemic thing it makes you realize how much people took travelling for granted and how much we miss it when we can't do it as freely. Singapore airline is definitely my favorite airline to travel on
Thanks Sam, for showing how Singapore Airlines has changed for Covid-19. Singapore might have been very conservative about being endemic (as much as the government tries to move forward with it). VTLs have been on and off, extra restrictions put in when cases rise and now the omicron variant and all... But nice to see you flying again and all. Enjoy!
Will be interesting for you to give more insight in each country requirements at the moment that you visit them as well! Love your videos, thanks for the hard work.
Being a Singaporean, SQ is always my first choice and Love their landing announcement. To all passengers, welcome to Changi Airport. For all Singaporean... welcome HOME.
That will be me next week flying SIA to BKK from Australia. SIA is one of the best airline I have flown with and can not wait to be flying again soon with them.
I’m flying Singapore Airline from Taipei to Adelaide, Australia via Singapore. It’ll be my first trip since the pandemic. I’ll have a long layover at Changi Airport. It’s good to see that the lounge is still open, even though there seem to be a lot to restrictions. Your video is very helpful for my upcoming trip!
I’m Asian and I was discriminated by Emirates Aussie based crew. I was in biz class from Dubai to Singapore and I had to ask 3 times for a glass of water. This would never happen in SQ even if taking economy class!
I have the same experience too flying Emirates airline. They discriminate and don't serve well to Asian pax. That was my first and last to ever fly Emirates again.

Sam pls try SQ’S 737 MAX, the regional fleet. Their Business Class product is extraordinary, especially the throne seat! So far the best Single-Aisle Business Class product, experience , and of course the Service
I love Singapore Airline for the long flight. The service is unbeatable. I doubt this December is gonna be full flight as Omicron is still lingering around because lots of countries are shutting down the borders.
Hi Sam, great to see you back the air. I was a regular traveller before COVID and am a little apprehensive now, I nearly booked a flight from SYD to the US for Jan but in the end decided against it. It would be really useful if your videos could include step by step the processes/forms that you are having to work through to depart and on arrival on your various trips to give us confidence that it is possible! Thank you
This will be different depending on nationality, location, where you are travelling too etc. Easiest way is check your countries government site and the one you want to fly to :)
IMHO...SQ Business Class is worth every penny spent on long hauls. Always happy with the services of the Singapore Girl or Guy..always courteous no matter if ur caucasian, asian or any other ethic..Emirates is ok..used to fly MAS in the past but is getting bad to worse...unhygenic cabins..customer service issues.. perhaps Sam, you can review MAS in the near future when u have the chance...cheers
Hey sam! Thanks so much for making these videos… I really love the videos when it’s you filming the videos… I wasn’t a big fan of “third person” camera angles in some of your past videos. But this video is soooo good! It was so Good to see Singapore again….
If you CAN fly cross-border these times, praise yourself super lucky. I’d take an economy seat in an old Antonov with dry noodles as meal to see my kids after +2 years apart. Some countries, like here in Vietnam still have closed borders. Happy for the people on this flight regaining part of a lost freedom we all had though.
I am a big fan of Singapore Airlines and they are my first choice when flying between LHR and MNL to visit my in-laws. However, a couple of issues mentioned by Sam concerned me. They may be considered minor in the big picture but the absence of printed menus on cards and the magazine really does SIA no credit. The card menu added a touch of class and the magazine was available to take away and read at your leisure, unlike an IFE screen version. The airline is merely using "covid" as an excuse to introduce what are clearly cost saving measures. Honesty and openness with your customers is crucial to retain customer loyalty.
Singapore Airlines has suffered HUGE financial loss during the pandemic and most certainly would have gone bankrupt without the Singapore government bailing them out financially. Unlike other national flagship airlines, Singapore is a tiny nation with NO domestic air travel at all. When International Travel fell to a standstill, so did they. The Asia Pacific region also took a longer time than the rest of the world to resume international air travel. So I wouldn’t fault them for trying to cut their costs until things return to normal again...
@@sanakatsuka I WOULD fault their strategy because their reputation and trade is based on superior customer service. Start chipping away at that customer service and you start to lose customers, especially when there are cheaper options available. It can easily become a downward spiral.
The way she recognised sam was some of the most purest moments you could ever see.

That will really help a lot of people like me... Thanks... Keep moving...
if you’re flying economy any airline with the ideal time and fare will do. it’s only the premium flights where I think we need these to differentiate which carrier to choose
this is one of the best sam Chui videos I have ever seen
Love the A350. The most quiet plane I ever flew in.
Hi Sam just love your reviews and love your voice, find it soothing to listen to 😍
Can we all appreciate the fact that Sam never disappointed us with his content 🤗 🥰 🤚
I owe him a gift for so much free entertainment.
@@JoaoSilva22222 it is not free actually as you may think. You are paying with the most precious resource you have - time. He makes money on your watches.
@@danfazylov5952 I know it, i was kidding, what i meant is that he delivers a ton of value for what he gets paid.
@@JoaoSilva22222 I wouldn’t agree with you. It is subjective to rate the value of his videos, but personally I don’t think that he shares something tremendously useful or insightful stuff.
@@danfazylov5952 but you do enjoy the videos though?
Hi Sam, How are you ? Very nice to you ! Fantastic trip especially Singapore airlines business class looking very nice, thanks
Singapore Airlines crew are simply the best crew I have ever came across both in the cabin and on ground, very Friendly and hospitable
Good video Sam
Michelle the FA was cool
Watching your videos makes me so eager for my next trip on a plane. With the whole pandemic thing it makes you realize how much people took travelling for granted and how much we miss it when we can't do it as freely. Singapore airline is definitely my favorite airline to travel on
Woo Love seeing the Singapore Airlines 🇸🇬 Airbus A350! Awesome it’s so beautiful! Great video Sam! You’re awesome…
😎🥂👍
Caleb
Thanks Sam, for showing how Singapore Airlines has changed for Covid-19.
Singapore might have been very conservative about being endemic (as much as the government tries to move forward with it). VTLs have been on and off, extra restrictions put in when cases rise and now the omicron variant and all... But nice to see you flying again and all. Enjoy!
Will be interesting for you to give more insight in each country requirements at the moment that you visit them as well!
Love your videos, thanks for the hard work.
I thynk that Singapore airlinens It's the beat airline in the world!!!!
Another lovely vlog Sam, thanks for the videos
Singapore airlines most luxurious airlines in this world
Welcome to Thailand. Been your fan for over 16 years.
Best airline
That was my first and last to ever fly Emirates again.
yes racists staff from Emirates
. they even forget to give you food
I experienced that before too.. Some FA of SQ are racist.
@@silverfeather992 thats rare as SQ is strict with their FA training
Yes. SQ is very strict. If they ever pull that trick on u, they will definitely be taken to task. Report if need be.
Great cabin crew and nice plane, thanks sam for reflecting this for us, its seems like we traveled with you
Absolutely awesome airline
Yeah... but their standards are dropping as we see many downgrades here, and not very much is due to covid. No more menu cards printed... No pre-flight welcoming drink in business. Food being served in horrbile cardboard boxes in economy, and many other things they are doing that is a downgrade, and nothing to do with covid.
For me it’s still the best
Hey its so fantastic, I always watch your video when I am eating food And also going to bed.good Job sir.
Hey guys comment who all do this
Sam pls try SQ’S 737 MAX, the regional fleet. Their Business Class product is extraordinary, especially the throne seat! So far the best Single-Aisle Business Class product, experience , and of course the Service
Hi Sam, Thank you for your excellent video about singapore airline. You are my most favorite RUclips channel.
I love Singapore Airline for the long flight. The service is unbeatable. I doubt this December is gonna be full flight as Omicron is still lingering around because lots of countries are shutting down the borders.
I've already miss Singapore☺️☺️
Looking forward if they would have business suites with enclosed door & partition on upcoming fleets ......🛫🤓
Nice video, I’m going to fly with Singapore Airlines from Melbourne to Bangkok. Will transit via Singapore 🇸🇬.
Singapore Airlines is Amazing 🔥
I'm so glad to see you again and that you are well. I love your videos. Thank you!
I am really missed your videos after one year. I am lucky today youtube make your video in my inbox. Tks Sam🥰
