Watching this in Singapore 25 hours before our direct flight back to EWR. Our inbound flight flight was a dream, didn’t feel like a 18 hour flight.
I agree. Ewr-sin on Singapore airlines in business class is a dream. I’ve done the flight 3 round trips in the past year. Love it! And love the cabin crew. I could easily be on it for 3-4 more hours
Have a FANTASTIC return trip!!
Lucky you! Have a good flight!
Flying back from Singapore next week to Newark. 😂. Done it a few times already
@@GreenerGrassi was your pilot in one of your flights on the channel. Hehehehehehehehee. As a pilot. It kind of irks me when passengers say "my flight". No. It's my flight. Your just sitting in the back and don't understand what's going on. But we need to keep it that way hehe
You're always so transparent with what you all pay. That's what makes your channel the best
Always? In the past he refused to tell us when we would ask him in the comments.
@@chinabergthey are all the same. An entitled lot.
@@chinabergYeah, I was about to say the pricing is a very recent addition.
9V-SGC- I was on SQ33 with this same aircraft on 3/13
Always choose 10A, 11K, 19A and 19K
He’s didn’t even say how much he paid. He mentioned how much a generic reservation would cost. AMEX points redemption doesn’t say how much he had to pay in credit card expenses so accrue that many points. Also, he just brushed aside how he had a multi-city itinerary, so the entire “price” category was wholly irrelevant. Not transparent at all.
I did this flight in Business class from Newark EWR to Singapore and from Singapore back to EWR. Highly recommend it and it did not feel like 18 hours… in fact I did not want to get off. A few tips:
- Try to buy the Business class ticket with credit card points with Singapore Airlines as a transfer partner
- Flying out of Newark, you can use United’s Polaris lounge which is fantastic
- Use Book the Cook prior to your flight to select dishes you want to eat (more selections than choices in the flight)
- When flying back to the States, make sure to spend time in Singapore’s Business class lounge
what about turbulece? you did not mention that. the most important part for many. it was a long flight. how was it? did it drop like the recent new zealand to australia one or any other incidents? if there was turbulence then how heavy was it and what did the pilots say if anything at all?
@@dreamthedream8929
I’ve experienced allot of turbulence when flying east over India and Pakistan, really bad turbulence where the flight attendants crawled on their knees back to their stations while holding onto the seat legs as they moved row to row.
@@alyonapetrova694 that sounds bad, i have not had it that bad. were you traumatized from that and avoided getting on planes ever since? that sounds intense. how do you deal with it? medication? alcohol?
@@dreamthedream8929
Lots of Jack Daniels post flight. Actually, caught Covid and was quarantined in the Marriott downtown for 7 days. What’s rough is when you have to go to the restroom and both sides of you have people reclined and sleeping.
@@dreamthedream8929 Turbulence is not something that can be predicted for a flight. It varies from day to day
I was flying Emirates, Qatar, Lufthansa, SWISS and Co, but I have to say for me SIA is the BEST airline in world. Their aircraft always look brand new, very very well maintained, in perfect shape and their flight crew is always... and I mean always, near to perfection! what a great review, good flight and always save landings Sir! greetings from Vienna, Austria :-)
Hello Jeb and Suzanne. It was meeting you at the check-in counters. Hope to be able to meet you both again. I will be showing the video to my coworkers. It’s was a pleasure!
Janey
His name is Jeb. Not Jed. Just letting you know.
Thank you so much for your help!! You got us started on the right foot!!!
10:15 Kudos for having the seat belt fastened during your sleep. The recent LATAM Flight 800 episode was a demonstration on why it must be so.
I think more reviewers need to demonstrate doing this. That recent flight shows why you need to buckle up while seated.
@@007knickAgree! Even Airlines need to be a bit more stringent to enforce it too.
@@DivineAura-eg7hxthey always tell us to fasten our seatbelts. What more can they do?
Well, they should wake the pax up and insist they buckle up. Off topic: I shall never forget the Turkish Airlines FA who woke me up, while I was sleeping in their lie-flat business seat, buckled up, on my side, facing away from the aisle and towards the illuminator, to tell me to put my mask on! I've never been this mad on a flight.
@@JahongirHaitovha ha. A flight immediately after COVID ?
I just love the bloopers at the end of each video.
Oragami sleep positioning was the term Jeb was looking for.
His repertoire is well founded, but I saw his mental Rolodex spinning.
Great job as always 👏
Thank you Jeb for all your work and continuously uploading videos taking us with you wherever you guys go! I really enjoy watching your content you guys are very genuine folks and i can’t wait to see more of your reviews!
Saturday morning with a Jeb video, nothing better!
United Airlines Operates a Long-Haul Flight between Houston (IAH) and Sydney (SYD) on its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Um....
Yes a video to enjoy with my morning coffee!!
Jeb, I loved your first "World's Longest Flight" video. It' seven better now to see you and Suzanne doing it together! Another fantastic video in the books. Well done, sir!!
I think for a flight like this 1st class and to have that bed, is the only way; you need to stretch out. What a privilege to fly that way. Jeb, you never seem to lose your sense of adventure and fun when you fly.
I have a relative who just took this flight!! Thank you for making this so I could see what he experienced. I LOVE your videos.
Jeb and Suzanne, thank you both for yet another amazing video!
Traveling vicariously with Suzanne and Jeb...Thanks to you both. 😘
I was lucky enough to fly Toronto-O’Hare-Auckland-Vancouver-Toronto a couple of months and my flight was Air NZ in and out of Auckland which was phenomenal but life would be just that bit more perfect if there was ever a Toronto-Auckland direct!
Thanks as well for your awesome videos, I really enjoy watching them! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for sharing another awesome video. Grately appreciated.
Jeff: I’ve got a new beautiful watch last Christmas(Tissot).
Thank you for inspiring me to fly more and enjoy time pieces more and more.
You and Suzanne together keep up the awesome endless adventures and always good work !!!!
Another great video. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Imagine doing this flight in economy 💀
There is no economy class, only business and premium economy
It's so good seeing Herself getting more comfortable on-camera.
Love your videos! And the bloopers make it real…..thanks!
Yes another fantastic video ❤❤❤❤
Without a doubt the best airline "You Tubers" at present (sorry Sam Chui)--informative, very well presented and most importantly honest and down to earth. Great work in my humble opinion.
Something cool to watch when I get off work in the mornings❤
Man upon arrival you two looked beat. Great video thanks for the awesome content.
Given the choice, I'd probably pick the flight out of Newark if I was in Business if nothing else for the better lounge experience. Comparing the Polaris lounge to whatever they're doing in JFK is not even a real comparison
I agree. I chose the flight from Newark to Singapore and because United and Singapore are in the Star Alliance, a Singapore Business class ticket gets you access to United’s well known Polaris lounge which was amazing. The only issue is that the Polaris lounge is in Terminal C and Singapore currently operates out of Terminal B so you need to take an AirTran between the two.
Nice meeting you both in the SQ lounge 😀 Awesome review as always and really looking forward to your next installment!
Awesome to meet you, too!! Thanks so much for saying hello!
I love stuff like this. It is amazing the range that modern aircraft have.
Yeah! Great Video Jeb!
Flew SFO-SIN last March via SQ for 17 hrs... absolutely amazing flight!!!
Hey Jeb Brooks, I am a huge fan, I have been watching you ever I was 7 in 2020, and I still do in 2024! I am in Georgia 40 mins away from ATL and you came there that's amazing, I mean I've never met you but it's amazing that you came to ATL airport! Again huge fan!!!!😃😀😁BYE God bless!
exiting to see you on the worlds longest flight, not not for long, cant wait to see you on the project sunrise flights!!!
Great video as usual! Jeb you should definitely try out ITA airways first/business class to Italy! I would LOVE to see that.
Yet another great video. You encouraged me to go to Germany (where I am other now!) love it, Jeb!
Fascinating Jeb. I’m headed to Singapore next yr,so this a definite choice for me. Thanks man for the preview
Great vid!!! earlyyyy!!
Good review. Enjoyed it.
Started following this guy during Covid….& I have no regrets
I can't imagine being on a flight this long even in business class! I've heard so many good things about Singapore Airlines, though! Thanks for bringing us along. Always fun to watch a Jeb and Suzanne video! I'd love to stay at the TWA sometime even for just a day visit! :-) Ahh, JFK T4, it's so fun to go from B to A gates or vice-versa...
As I am going to go to your country and plan to board Amtrak, I watched some of your videos. All of them were so informative and entertaining. I just appreciate your optimistic and straightforward attitude. Plus, you might have the best voice in the RUclips world.
Wow! That’s so kind! I hope you have a fantastic trip!!
Great video as always, Jeb! Eighteen hours seems long, but is actually long enough to enjoy the business class amenities. And my response to your tagline “and you’re coming along” is “I’d love to!”
Longest flight so cool!!! Congrats! Love when you do the along haul flights. I'm so fascinated by them. I guess I can't fathom that amount of time on a plane lol but must be an amazing experience
Thank you, Jeb and Suzanne. You always bring the humor and high quality production. It’s much appreciated!! BTW, ATL-SYD is my wish.
Jeb I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Your childlike love and fascination of all things planes is so endearing.
I’ve been waiting for this video for forever lol, and of all days I missed it because I was on a plane 😭
Awesome video guys. Love the ULR
Looks absolutely amazing great video guys! I love seeing these long haul flights.. would love to see united IAH to SYD! It’s on our bucket list! 👍
Man you looked tired at the end Jeb. Thank you for the sacrifice you two go through just to present us these beautifully made videos.
Yea big sacrifice. Business class everywhere.
love u guys thanks for making a difference in our world...xoxoxo
Absolutely fantastic video guys!😸 (also, Suzanne has a great taste in music)
😎
The best part of this video is seeing the love between you two.
Watching now! love the robotic-ish sound in the beginning. lol! 💗 (today is National Panda Day!...very China Zoo-like)
The window is all the entertainment I need 😂 I'm making this trip in February. I cant wait
I really enjoyed this video...aaannnd you were really charitable with your Jeb Score on the Lounge...
good content! hope to see you at 1 million!
Amazing flight Jeb! Always a highlight watching you! Love Susanne's "You can listen to the Taylor Swift Album some 15 times" HAha!! Keep up the awesome work!
I did the reverse the reverse of that flight SIN/JFK. My flight had really strong tailwind and we made it in 16 hour 50 minutes, arriving an hour ahead of schedule. My outbound flight to TPE took only about 45 minutes less because of the strong headwind.
The best seats on SQ A350s are the ones at the front of the cabin, like 19A or 19K.
The service on board is impeccable. I slept for maybe 8 or 9 hours and read for most of the rest of the trip.
Thaks for consistantly giving us great reviews! Felt a bit familiar as i saw out the window and spotted all the ships in the harbour as you were approaching Changi.
What a journey, loved that we got to go along with you guys!
Thanks for joining!
About time we get a new video. I needed my fix guys!
Awesome video.
Jazzed when I heard Hudson Valley mentioned for the source of some of the food. Love it
You were very kind with the scores, in my opinion... Kudos to both of you for survive the 18hrs fligth!
I am happy to see this video because I am planning to go to Singapore next year
His longer flight new record signapore 😘
When we flew Newark - Singapore on SIA over a decade ago we went over LA and the Pacific on all Business Class.
Great video Jeb
I loved having Suzanne talk a lot more
I just did this 2 months ago!!!! Great trip and product.
Business or Economy tho? I doubt the latter is anywhere near as comfortable
Another great video guys. Regardless of class that is a long journey! Great to hear SQ are finally upgrading those seats and hopefully will fix the legroom situation.
Thanks so much, Dennis! I’m still hoping somebody adds ADL-GSO on an A350 sometime soon!!
@GreenerGrass how cool would that be!!
Very nice. Thank you.
I would love to fly this route. I always have fun flying no matter how long the flight is.
Enjoy watching your videos. My wife & I love to travel.
As always Jeb a fun vlog
Taking this exact flight May 7th I can’t wait
You reminded me of the excitemet flying JFK to Tokyo non-stop on a PanAm B747SP. In those days, the longest non-stop flight!
Great video!
Great video thanks
Love your channel
Flew JFK to SGN March 13th. Sat in seat 10A. The time flew by! I didn’t want the flight to end! Exceptional service from Singapore Airlines as always.
SGN is Ho Chi Minh airport, I don’t think you can fly direct from JFK
I have flown non-stop r/t between Atlanta and Dubai about 50 times, mostly on Delta. It is usually a 15 hour flight but often is 16 hours heading westbound (against the Jet Stream). Doing the trip in Business Class is a pleasure as it lets you have a great dinner, sleep nine (9!) hours (lie flat seat), and have a great breakfast before arrival. Doing the trip in Economy is like being in a electric chair for 16 hours but without the electricity.
The flights also featured a mid-flight snack but I usually slept through it.
Took this flight last year with my wife... didn't feel long at all
They did an amazing job
Great video as always, Jeb & Suzanne. I was very fortunate to get SQ24 in business class from SIN to JFK on a steal of a point redemption deal last October. To make it even better I was able to switch to bulkhead seat 19A at check in. Row 19 does not have that awkward footwell restriction making it by far the roomiest location on the aircraft. They are bassinet seats and are therefore blocked from pre-booking until check-in. I recommend checking in early to try to get this row. That said, there is always a risk that there will be an infant in a bassinet nearby so remember to pack your earplugs.
Your excitement and your wife's is the same as one of my coworkers who loves planes and loves to learn about them. Me, on the other hand, am very much interested in Airports and their designs, layouts, runways, proximity, and size. Flying is awesome, but leaving a great airport makes things even better. More relaxing I guess.
A great review. I've flown Singapore Airlines both business and economy and I've always been told that Singapore Airlines is perfect.
I found my experience to he similar to yours. An exceptional flight, but still some areas that could be improved.
I have found that when I travel to other countries it helps to not go to sleep right away. I try to go out for a walk or something.
When I flew to Dubai (from Miami non-stop), I arrived at night. I’d slept well in the Emirates Business Class but decided that once I’d checked into my hotel, I went straight out for a walk. Definitely helped.
I’ve done the same things for Switzerland and Czechia.
i like the video very much Jeb well done
hey jeb. love your content! new sub here 😊
I've been looking forward to this one! In December I flew direct from Milan to Singapore (Cool route!) with Singapore Airlines, I was blown away by the service! Best cabin crew in the sky. Next trip there I will be flying from JFK!
Jeb changing watches mid flight is quite a flex!
i visited the singapore national museum last september, which singapore airlines offered an a380 cabin as an exhibit for their special exhibition about travel in singapore, what an awesome to create a room in a airplane carrying hundreds of passengers.
Love the quick service. I flew Polaris from Dulles to Brussels last year and it was a great experience, but they didn't conclude service until maybe three hours left on a barely seven-hour flight.
Didn’t have that problem on this flight🤣
I took this flight several times, back when it was an A340-500 and flew from Newark. Flying over Russia was still a thing and they flew over the North Pole. It was always amazing to pass through 12 time zones in 10 minutes, as we crossed over the top of the world.
I wouldn’t have thought the A340 could go that far
@@kickedinthecalfbyacow7549A340-500 was the ultra-long range version. Only bought by a few airlines, and already retired from all commercial service.
Seinfeld all the way! Safe travels you guys!
1. Was surprised to see the lights on bright half way through the flight.
2. Not sure a whole star deserved to be taken away because of a slice of cheese pizza offered as an optional refreshment.
3. Always enjoy your videos and thank you for posting 🙂
Just did this flight with my 2 kids in December! We all sat Business as there is only business and premium economy! Loved it. Did not want it to end!
🤣 even we were ready for it to be over
My girlfriend and I took this flight on our way to Phuket. On the way out it was 19hrs and gotta say after 12hrs or so it became as struggle. But the staff were nice and friendly. Enjoyed a couple chats with them and it helped break up the flight. On the way back it was about 17.5hrs and that somehow felt like a breeze. Can't wait for Project Sunrise!
can't wait for the nyc to sydney flight
Singapore airline is top notch. I did LAX to Singapore and everything went amazing. Plenty of food and snacks. Plenty of drinks and water. They have eye mask and other small treats to all the passengers. Bathrooms were checked and cleaned like every hour. Toothbrushes in the bathrooms. Just another level of amazing.
Another great vlog. I could never handle 18 hours.
