    Absolutely outstanding mate, you made that so clear, I've finished the video much more confident in ep racing.. I challenge you to find a better explained video then that.. one thing that I was shocked at, I thought it had to be from a free bet in order to profit, however its like 2up in that respect..

      Cheers Ian, appreciate the kind words. And no, with extra places offers its all about covering all of the possible outcomes in a horse besides 1 or 2 that the bookmaker is paying out on and that isn't covered by the place lay market on the betting exchange. If the horse lands in one of these places this is where the profit will occur. As you become more experienced, you may decide to start covering as many horses in the race as possible as this can help guarantee a profit each time!

    Really straight forward and simple guide, thank you very much!
    When would you say is the best time to Place an 'Extra place offer' before the race? Would you recommend waiting until an hour or two before the race starts to get the best odds or would you recommend something else?

    • @ProfitPineapple
      @ProfitPineapple  3 года назад +1

      Hi there,
      Yes, generally the best time to get on extra places would be a couple of hours before the race starts all the way up to 5 minutes before post.
      At big horse racing events and festivals, there is an exception, in a lot of these cases you will be able to get on EP's many hours before post time!

    Hi Liam thank you for this video it's really well explained. Don't know why you don't have more subscribers. How many horses would you get on per account to cover a whole race? Ive only ever bet on one or maybe two per race per bookie and don't want to get gubbed. Cheers!

    • @ProfitPineapple
      @ProfitPineapple  3 года назад +1

      Hi Charlene,
      Thanks for watching and for the kind words, appreciate it.
      The rule of thumb, regarding how many horses you should look to get on per account is said to be up to a maximum of however many horses that the bookie is paying out in places.
      For example if a bookmaker was paying out on 5 extra places I would look to get on no more than 5 EP’s on that account.
      Hope this helps😃

    Basically it's like roulette except the 0 is in your favour. You cover 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12 which provides no returns but if it lands on 0 you win.

    New subscriber here. Great video! As a new starter for each places, is there any tips to avoid being gubbed through this method as I don’t bet on horse races frequently?

    • @ProfitPineapple
      @ProfitPineapple  3 года назад

      Thanks William, much appreciated mate.
      Ultimately, there is no way to completely avoid being gubbed, there are things such as mug betting which will help prolong your accounts for a longer period of time but the dreaded gubbing email will eventually be dropped into your inbox, some bookmakers are much better than others, Bet365 for example.

    Can you lay on the each way market on betfair to make it easier? Is there much of a difference to doing 1 each way lay bet or 2 seperate win and place lay bets?

    • @ProfitPineapple
      @ProfitPineapple  3 года назад +1

      In theory you could place all your bets just using a betting exchange alone which would be ideal as you would never receive a gubbing!
      However, lower quality markets such as the eachway market on Betfair won’t have a great deal of liquidity so you will be limited to the amount of money you can make because of this reason.
      I find it’s best to back the win e/w with the bookies and lay the win and place with the exchange as the liquidity is much better in those markets and you will be able to make much larger profits

    Nice video, concise and informative!. So we are hoping the bookmaker wins in extra places?

    • @ProfitPineapple
      @ProfitPineapple  3 года назад +2

      You are looking for the horse or horses that you have placed your back and lay bets with to land within the extra place, this place isn’t covered by the betting exchange but it is covered by the bookmaker.
      For example, if the bookmaker is paying out on 4 extra places (like in this video) and the betting exchange only covers the lay on 3 extra places, if the horse that you selected lands in the 4th place which isn’t covered by the exchange that’s where the profit will hit for you!

    Does this mean you only make a profit if the horse comes in 4th place..?. Wouldn't that be the same as just placing a back bet and hoping it wins the race..? Is this system simply to lower your qualifying loss..?

  • @synergicpvp2194
    @synergicpvp2194 Год назад

    Wait so you only make profit if it comes 4th? And all other things you lose?

  • @robwillis7570
    @robwillis7570 3 года назад

    Nicely explained! After looking over a lot of the extra places this week the match odds are terrible. Also covering the entire field isn’t possible either to lock in profit.
    As a rule of thumb would you be aiming to back half the field at around 90% match?
    I’ve noticed anything less and the qualifying losses just outweigh the 4th place profit.....

    • @ProfitPineapple
      @ProfitPineapple  3 года назад +1

      Thanks rob much appreciated.
      The odds, for the most part will only present really good matches in the last 5 mins before post time which is where you will want to be active.
      Before this nobody is betting and the bookmakers are able to keep on top of their odds which in turn keeps the ratings low.
      Covering the field would require getting on most horses for a 95%+ match, this is always challenging but with royal ascot right around corner there is likely to be a good few opportunities to do this

    • @ethelion9412
      @ethelion9412 3 года назад

      How do you manage to bet on matches that are 95% without the odds moving too fast? Do you just overlay/underlay? For example, if it says to Lay at £7.21 do you quickly lay at £7 before it moves, or would that be a bad idea? I don't understand how people are so quick at doing this.
      Thanks for any help

  • @AaronPushesWood

    Sorry if this is a silly question, but does this mean that if the horse I have bet on comes 1st 2nd or 3rd, I will make a loss? I will only gain profit if it comes in 4th?

  • @Harp00nX
    @Harp00nX 2 года назад

    So mate does this mean we just cover horses at or above 95% rating and never take anything under that and just take any small losses if none of them hit the 4th place hoping that variance will recoup those QL's in future?

    • @ProfitPineapple
      @ProfitPineapple  2 года назад +1

      It's all down to personal preference mate, there is a grey area around the EV with extra places.
      The closer you can get to a 100% rating the more likely you are taking positive expected value, however, this is more challenging than taking a shorter match because the bookies dont like to dish out value so they will continually work to keep their back odds short which in tern will keep the ratings low.
      In some cases taking a lower match of around 90% could be positive EV dependant on the field size and the number of extra places on offer.

      @@ProfitPineapple I've made a start this week with baby stakes (£5 EW) got 5 bets on so far but somehow managed to pick 4 winners and one landed in 4th for the extra place (£6 up), pity I couldn't do that if they were just punts lol This after finally having a full turn around in the Chelsea Liverpool game.... pity I cashed out at 0-2 haha can't catch a break here!!
