Love these vids. Profit Pineapple the go-to for me on RUclips for everything matched betting. An aside, extra comedy value is coming from the fact that for some reason on my computer the subtitles come up with "butt maker" every time you say bookmaker.
This is the most honest Matches Betting video I've seen so far. It genuinely explores extra place each way betting and its challenges. I've been doing Matched Betting for around 2 months now. I didn't keep a record of the welcome offers but coming up to the end of week 8 (not including welcome offers) I'm on £687 profit. I've yet to explore the casino offers but the reloads are drying up and I've been removed from most of the bookmakers since getting OddsMonkey. It really does expose you and these bookmakers have the tool too to see what's available and who's using it. My next step is the casino offers, I'm led to believe it will be profitable but more time consuming and then I'll move into extra places including SuzyBeth. Where's my cheese?
Nice one again Liam what I do is wait a few minutes before and watch for horses that have been heavily backed in and just laying that horse when it settles then I would say 7/10 times the price bounces back up and that's when I back with the bookie made some nice profits I've traded pre race for a few years part time now it's all automated less stressful 👍 I've seen that software looks pretty cool that 👍
Cheers pal👍 That’s certainly a good strategy to go with, overreactions like that happen pretty much every single day don’t they, and the market almost always corrects itself!
Been doing EPs for 2 months and since Ascot it’s been pretty much dead. Goodwood was terrible due to NRs and generally Saturdays have been a few matches n there, no way getting near third of the field so missing out. Oddsmonkey really need to upgrade their EP matcher to give more of an edge. Some simple options like having the number of runners next to the race and dynamically refreshing as NRs drop out. The ability to see *all* horses by rating across all races would be another game changer. The marchers slow refresh times doesn’t help matters either, pulling stale data from the bookies. They could even do a hybrid to incorporate the racing offers and potentially highlight BOGs somehow. That way whilst you would probably avoid getting on the favourite (for value) for EPs if it was highlighted as a BOG hunting opportunity it would be massive just to back n lay as well on the win. Yep I’ve mentioned this to them and it just goes to the tech team allegedly. Whilst matched betting, EPs etc. has become more popular and the bookies are investing more to stop it, our software providers as MBs aren’t evolving enough.
There's certainly some really interesting ideas there Rob that would definitely make it much more beneficial for us all! I think an integration of the EV and the implied probability of the horse landing in the extra place would be enormous and it would open up extra places for pretty much everybody. The downside would be that bookies would really have to tighten up their margins and try to avoid as many miss pricings as possible.
This is a good video mate, good relevant content. As someone who does exactly this using some better software pre-off and manually 5-10 minutes before I can say everything you have said in this video is correct. One thing I would warn your viewers of though, EP QLs aren't solely dependent on the Win back and lay odds. A close match on the win market may still be costly to take if the place odds are off. Learning how to calculate the true place odds on the fly (or using a cheat sheet stuck on your wall) will make a world of difference when you are starting off.
Liked, subscribed and shared several times already. Fantastic presentation and insight. You're doing everyone a great service with this content. I love the way the sub-titles interpret your accent ;) If you ever consider doing anything commercially, I'd be the first to invest! Great stuff.
It's easy to calculate the chance of the horse finishing in the extra place using the exchange place markets. If the bookmaker is paying 1 extra place, taking it to 4 places, then the % chance of the horse finishing in the extra place = % chance of top 4 - % chance of top 3
Good matches still exist you just have to be patient and lower expectations as you say. Even if you hit the odd EP now and then it's still money in the bank. The biggest problem you've got though, which you've not touched on is to make anything significant you have to stake significant values and this will ultimately lead to the bookmaker restricting your account. Been matched betting for 8 years now and it's getting so tough to make money. Best advice I could give is hit the 2up offer hard. You can get really good QL's and big stakes on football. Betting on horses is a one way ticket to losing your account either by gubbing or stake restriction.
They certainly do still exist and if you are patient when one of these opportunities pops up you can get on it relatively stress free. The downside, as you touched on is that eventually bookmakers pick up on the fact that all your bets with them are essentially value bets and as a result close you down, it’s all just part of the game isn’t it unfortunately. I’ve found certain bookies will let you take much more value than others before intervening
They aren't at all difficult if you dutch the field. you just have to be patient and wait for suitable races. I reckon I do 1 race every 3-4 weeks on Average. Today is the Plate at Newcastle which is profitable every year. £400+ on that race for 30 mins work, means I don't need to do anything else for the rest of the week and can spend time with my family.
All just depends on which style of extra places your going for I would say, predominately I just use smarkets for the positive EV style extra place approach. When I’m taking place arbs I will normally also have to use Betfair as they have more variety in their place markets.
Can you make money by laying horses (in-play) , I.e during the race you lay horses that have a high lay price and therefore are likely to lose. I have tried on about 15 races but broke even in profits . Has anyone had any success in this method , and can you provide tips if so?
I suspect there could be a strategy in there somewhere if you collected data on lots of previous races etc and continued to refine a strategy using it. Due to the markets being highly efficient on the exchange I feel like It would be very difficult at first and it would likely be a break even strategy long term with lots of small wins and the occasional huge loss

Another great video Liam. I needed to watch this a few times and now looking forward to practising before placing small bets. Thank you.
No problem Brian, thanks for watching!

Can I ask what software you use?

The subtitles are pretty comical, I have had a lot of people point them out to me haha!
Appreciate your vote of confidence, it means a lot!

Superb video Liam, been trying this out based on your strategies and have had a few wins also your 2 up strategy is great and working well
Cheers Darren👍
Glad they are working out for you!

Cheers Jordan mate, thanks for watching 👍

I wish I knew everything you know !
Do you normally bet on just the one horse per race or several?
People laying at the current lay price rather than putting an order in at a lower price makes a big difference.
Liam. How many exchanges do you recommend to have ready when doing EP’s?
All just depends on which style of extra places your going for I would say, predominately I just use smarkets for the positive EV style extra place approach. When I’m taking place arbs I will normally also have to use Betfair as they have more variety in their place markets.

Just buy data and do extra places Advantage Play on Betfair
Would it be easier just to bet on every horse?
That would be the ideal situation but not every race is profitable to do this on with extra places
@@bikinibandit2398 I am going to join odds monkey this week. Am with Profit Accumulator at the moment.
