Interesting that your brace is unlocking like that. I have an AKV and if anything, the brace is too difficult to unlock. Might just need to tighten it down a little. Love the 105 setup.
That's possible. I'm not too worried about it because hopefully I'll be putting a PT-1 stock on it soon. I've definitely had various folding braces that were difficult to unlock but this one is a little too easy. I watched that clip back in slow motion around the middle of the video and you can see the muzzle shift off target when it unlocks. Pretty wild.
I agree, I love it. Such a fun setup to shoot. I have another update video on my channel after I converted it to an sbr if you're interested. Lots of fun. Thanks for watching!
Cool AK12 mag. I think I'm gonna do this setup but I'm gonna wait for the KUSA 102 clone. Zenitco furniture might be impossible to come by by that point though.
Thank you! I'm interested in the KUSA offerings as well. I bet they'll do a great job. I'm hopeful that things with Zenitco parts will stabilize eventually. If not, looks like PSA is working on some clones or similar designs now. Maybe others will follow suit.
I dont have a PSA AK105, Rather I was able to pick up the PSA AK74. I've been having a fair amount of failure to eject problems with the gun. The cartridge often gets stuck inside the receiver and I'm not sure what the problem is. I even had a round where it failed to eject the old cartridge, started to load a new round, but the trigger also failed to reset. I bought some mil spec Bulgarian mags and ran some wolf performance ammunition through it and still had some issues. I'm clinging to hope that once I run more rounds through it, it may start to run better. I'm almost to 1K rounds on the rifle and approximately 15 all time malfunctions so far, which puts it around 1.5% malfunction rate, which all in all doesnt sound bad, but I wouldn't fully trust my life to this rifle.
Sorry to hear you're having issues. When did you purchase it? I think some of the early batches this year may have been having ejector issues. Hopefully they've ironed it out by now. You could definitely send it in for warranty. As you said, a 1.5% failure rate isn't too bad and could even be ammo related since Wolf is under powered (as I've learned from personal experience shooting wolf), but you could certainly send it in if you wanted to. Some of the things that could cause problems could also fix themselves with use, so I could see it being a tough call. Either way good luck and I hope you are able to continue enjoying your rifle. Personally I enjoy PSAs for range fun, but I don't know if I would necessarily trust my life with them. While I think sometimes the issues they have can be overstated or exaggerated, I do think they have too many unexpected issues for me to personally trust my life with them.
Hey Luke, I read of others who fixed their ejection issues by bending the ejector ever so slightly either up or down, and using a muzzle booster to increase back pressure. 1.5% malfs is pretty bad for a design touted for reliability. I'd be sorely tempted to send it into the PSA customer service lucky dip, especially if there's a known ejector fix.
@@gussie88bunny yeah I've read that as well, I suppose I can give it a try but I dont want to risk doing something i may regret. I've also heard using a booster or a strela muzzle device may fix issues as well, but personally I dont care much for that muzzle device.

Great question - I was actually really surprised to hear how loud it was in the video because from the shooter's perspective it seemed super quiet. I try to protect my ears so I only shoot subsonic ammo without ear protection and even then I only do it sometimes. From my understanding the wolverine is not designed to be a particularly quiet suppressor because it's over bored to accommodate non concentric threads, but that also makes it very low back pressure. It's mainly designed to be comfortable for the shooter with that low back pressure and less perceptible report at the shooter's ear. From that perspective I can say it's a home run, but again I was surprised how loud it is in the video, almost doesn't even sound suppressed. Unfortunately I was the only one there so I didn't have another opinion to get on the sound difference. From the shooter's perspective at least, I would definitely recommend it.

@@tmartin3151 Krinks are a lot of fun as well. I love mine. Both are very fun platforms. The krink will be lighter and handier obviously. The 105 retains the majority of ballistic performance of the 5.45x39 round while being in a more compact package than a full size 74. A lot of people think the 105 offers basically the goldilocks scenario in terms of barrel length and performance. It's a really, really smooth shooter. Either way you go I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Hopefully whatever you get is problem free, but at least if there are any issues you will know they have a good warranty backing their products. Good luck!

What’s a reputable site to buy zentico parts from? Sick build, I was saving to buy an arsenal AK but I heard good things about the PSA that I just might buy a PSA and upgrade to zentico parts with the spare cash
Thank you! I have to be honest, Arsenal absolutely makes better AKs that I would consider to be more of a lifetime investment than PSA. With that said, I do love my PSA as well - check out my most recent video I made after converting it to an SBR if you haven't already. It's a lot of fun. Zenitco is really tough to get right now, and you'll definitely be paying a lot more than I think it's worth with current pricing. But the best place to go stateside in my opinion is AK stuff. Good luck and enjoy - and thanks for watching!
Got mine a few months ago. I finally need to make time to go shoot. After seen others with some issues. One guy had the bolt carrier wobble and lots of issues. Mine has similar bolt carrier wobble but not as bad. And when I rack it back, bolt slightly wants to stick. Im just hoping once i shoot and breaks in. Everything will run smoothly
I hope so too! I have a similar amount of wobble to his but do not seem to have the same issues. The sticking of the bolt when racked back may just be the bolt drag that is purposefully designed to slow down the action for full auto fire. Even though these are not full auto firearms, that is a design holdover from the original design. Mine does that too, so you may be fine. Good luck!
Have you ever tried polish tantal mags? My Bulgarian kit ak74 doesn’t like them. I did some filing on the feed lips of my two tantal mags and polished the chamber on my 74, as well as added a very small feed ramp and polished it really well. Haven’t tried it out yet but hopefully all that fixes the problem
Interesting, no I actually don't have any Tantal mags. Mostly bakes, plums and various Bulgarians. And the couple of AK12 mags I just got. Hope you get it working!
Thanks for the tip! I've had great luck with about 750 rounds in at this point with only one failure to eject so I think it was ammo related, but I'll definitely keep this in mind. Thanks for watching!
For the 105 and 74 you'll want the Standard length 24x1.5. The long version only works for me on my arsenal krinks (SLR-104UR and SAM7K). Thanks for watching, enjoy!
2:38 Sorry, did you clear the gun by racking the bolt before you pulled out the magazine? I get that you pulled the trigger which sort of confirms that no round got chambered, but still I think you should pull out the mag first then rack the bolt. I'm a complete armchair general I don't even shoot but idk that seems like the safer way to do it. Though on the other hand, if it is faster that way then I guess it's still the better choice since you are training for combat and 99.99% safe is better in combat than 100% safe but done slower. In training though that 0.01% can get someone killed if you do that again and again and again and again and agiain etc. Murphy's law.
Yeah, the triangle braces look good as far as braces go, but they're certainly not as effective as a real stock. The cnc warrior brace is a great option if you don't want to go the sbr route. Thanks for watching!
Not a ton unfortunately because I've been spending most of my range time going through my collection and making more videos, so only about 850-900 at this point. No issues aside from the one failure to eject which I believe was ammo related. I also have about 650 or so in my PSA AK-74, which did have some failures to fire initially but since coming back from warranty repair has had no issues. Ideally their QC would be top notch and people wouldn't have to worry about issues at all except in the rarest of cases, but I do personally feel confident that their customer service team will make it right if people have issues, at least in my personal experience. Good luck!
Very nice video run. Zenitco will possibly be my next run for my second Kalashnikov kr103. Hopefully by then some USA sources may be in stock. I’m also waiting for Hiperfire to release their AK trigger. You did a great makeover on that PSA! Beautiful setup man!
Thanks Ron, I appreciate that! The KR103s are nice. I agree, the hiperfire ak trigger could be very interesting. If you haven't seen it yet, you should check out my latest video on this PSA AK-105 - it's now an SBR and has even more zenitco on it. It was posted a week ago. Thanks for watching!
My 105 was purchased as a pistol so it came with a brace and a standard muzzle device, not the extended pinned and welded muzzle device the rifle versions come with. I don't have experience removing a pinned and welded device, but it would require a tax stamp first and then I'd imagine a dremel would do the trick once approved. Thanks for watching!
Depends on what type of furniture you're looking for. The first thing to do is identify your make and model and determine what kind of furniture fits that AK. In general, an AK-105 like this one should take standard AKM style furniture, which gives a lot of options. If you have a Serbian / Zastava AK, you'll typically need "Yugo" pattern furniture, etc. Lots of variables. In the case of Zenitco furniture, if you go to the Zenitco website, they have a very cool "compatibility" section. You can select your type of AK there and they will show you which of their products should fit. Very cool.
That's a current production AK12 magazine. I got it on either Reddit or AK Files I'm not 100% sure, but definitely one of the two. Thanks for watching!
Anyone else have a problem with the detent locking ring not locking up with the detent plunger! My wolverine just rides right over the top but doesn’t engage it at all!!! Help!!!
The one I purchased came as a pistol so the muzzle device was not pinned and welded, you just push in the detent pin and screw it off. If you purchase the rifle version with the pinned and welded muzzle device, you would first have to get an approved form 1 to SBR the rifle and then you could either take it to a gunsmith or use a dremel.
I have another update video on this gun and I've only had one failure to eject in over 600 rounds fired, so the failure percentage so far is around 0.002%. It's also under powered Wolf ammunition which could very well have been the culprit with the failure to extract here. I'm perfectly satisfied with that for a range toy. For something intended for serious use, personally I would go with one of my ARs that have gone through thousands of rounds without a single hiccup. Thanks for watching!
I do - check my newer videos, I have an update with it as an SBR. I'm up to 645 rounds now with only two failures which occurred in this video and my first. No failures in the third video. That's a fairly low round count still but it's been a ton of fun to shoot, the wear looks normal and it has a lifetime warranty. I love mine and would definitely recommend it, with the understanding that if you have issues like some have, PSA should take care of you. Thanks for watching!
@@ChestersHobbies will do and thanks for the update that’s more rounds then I’ll shoot out of it for a while just looking for a fun range toy in different caliber
Yeah when firing supersonic rounds in excess of 2000fps they're about double the speed of sound so suppression really just takes some of the sharpness out of the sound for the person behind the gun and people in the immediate vicinity for the most part. I would not consider most supersonic rifles to be hearing safe when suppressed. The wolverine is also designed to be bomb proof and low back pressure to enhance the experience for the shooter, but it is also over bored to help minimize the chances of a baffle strike due to AKs commonly having non-concentric muzzle threads. For that reason it is also not the quietest suppressor, but it's very pleasant to shoot with that low back pressure. Thanks for watching!
Yeah I hear that. Fair enough, to each his own. All my other AKs are in configurations I'm happy with and I really like the alpha ak aesthetic. With very few affordable 105 options available, this ended up being the route I took. Been a lot of fun so far. Thanks for watching!
Yeah I understand, makes sense. I have a bunch of imports and in general I do prefer them. I've been playing around with American ones for 5.45x39 because there are no real easily attainable and reasonably priced 5.45x39 imports right now. Plus, it's just for fun at the range, and these fill that niche nicely enough for me to enjoy personally. Thanks for watching!
Yup, fair point. For me it makes sense. This is just a range gun, for fun. I also have an optic on every gun so it gets pretty expensive putting aimpoint, trijicons and eotechs on everything. For range guns, I'm quite happy with holosun. Thanks for watching.

@@ChestersHobbies I haven’t check my SLR107 or my RAK74 to see how much slop with my carrier and the rails. I’m torn between picking up a 105 or waiting for the krink. I’m starting to get impatient waiting for their Krink, so I might end up buying the 105.
Good luck!
Do you know which thread insert you used for the Wolverine? I have the 104 and there's confusion all over on whether or not to use the standard 24x1.5 or the 24x.15 Long Thread
How was it installing the charging handle cover? I just ordered one for my psa ak104. Did you have to modify anything ?
Good luck!
If the bolt is sticking to on the face of the trigger hammer then u need to smooth it out

Could try a alg recoil spring. Might slow down the action just enough when suppressed to give the round enough time to eject.
Thanks for the tip! I've had great luck with about 750 rounds in at this point with only one failure to eject so I think it was ammo related, but I'll definitely keep this in mind. Thanks for watching!
Install a kns piston or gun will beat itself
Which thread insert did you go with for your Wolverine? Trying to figure out if I need the Long insert or the standard 24x1.5
For the 105 and 74 you'll want the Standard length 24x1.5. The long version only works for me on my arsenal krinks (SLR-104UR and SAM7K). Thanks for watching, enjoy!
One year
Been waiting 5 months
For the Wolverine
Hopefully things speed up and you get yours sooner! I hated the wait but I think it was worth it. Perfect can for the platform.
I have one of those sbtactical braces on my m92. Thing is a pos. Biggest waste of $200. Still debating on doing an sbr or replace with cnc brace
Yeah, the triangle braces look good as far as braces go, but they're certainly not as effective as a real stock. The cnc warrior brace is a great option if you don't want to go the sbr route. Thanks for watching!
How many rounds you have put in now? I’m debating if I want to get this rifle. I want a 5.45
Not a ton unfortunately because I've been spending most of my range time going through my collection and making more videos, so only about 850-900 at this point. Good luck!
@@ChestersHobbies thank you
5.45 ammo is hard to find. Make sure you consider that before purchasing.
How did you get the muzzle off if it’s pin and welded was the process easy
My 105 was purchased as a pistol so it came with a brace and a standard muzzle device, not the extended pinned and welded muzzle device the rifle versions come with. I don't have experience removing a pinned and welded device, but it would require a tax stamp first and then I'd imagine a dremel would do the trick once approved. Thanks for watching!
how do you know which furniture will fit your AK?
Depends on what type of furniture you're looking for. The first thing to do is identify your make and model and determine what kind of furniture fits that AK. In general, an AK-105 like this one should take standard AKM style furniture, which gives a lot of options. If you have a Serbian / Zastava AK, you'll typically need "Yugo" pattern furniture, etc. Lots of variables.
In the case of Zenitco furniture, if you go to the Zenitco website, they have a very cool "compatibility" section. You can select your type of AK there and they will show you which of their products should fit. Very cool.
Where did you buy the windowed AK mag?
That's a current production AK12 magazine. I got it on either Reddit or AK Files I'm not 100% sure, but definitely one of the two. Thanks for watching!
PSA should make a SVD clone
That would be very cool!
Dope….😎🇺🇸
Thank you!
Anyone else have a problem with the detent locking ring not locking up with the detent plunger! My wolverine just rides right over the top but doesn’t engage it at all!!!
Help!!!
Can attach granade launcher?
How did you remove the PSA krink muzzle break off of your AK?
The one I purchased came as a pistol so the muzzle device was not pinned and welded, you just push in the detent pin and screw it off. If you purchase the rifle version with the pinned and welded muzzle device, you would first have to get an approved form 1 to SBR the rifle and then you could either take it to a gunsmith or use a dremel.
@@ChestersHobbies Ohhh ok. Thanks for the heads up on that.I'll just get my paperwork ready so I can SBR build.
Good luck and enjoy!
@@ChestersHobbies Thanks I appreciate it.
Ficou top com o carregador da ak12
Thanks! I love the AK12 mags.
Not bad
Thanks! I was happy with how it ran suppressed. Definitely doesn't feel like a kns piston will be necessary, which is great.
What windowed mags are those?
Current production AK12 magazines. Expensive but very cool. Thanks for watching!
Nice AK-12 mag.
Thanks! I think they work well with the aesthetics of the build.
Do you gonna paint ur gun to camouflage?
Nah, not my style. I haven't even cerakoted any of my guns a solid color unless they came like that from the factory. Thanks for watching!
If it failed to eject doesn't it mean its not reliable? :(
I have another update video on this gun and I've only had one failure to eject in over 600 rounds fired, so the failure percentage so far is around 0.002%.
Still recommend this psa 105 ?
Absolutely. I think a fun range toy is the perfect use case for the PSA AK-105. Enjoy!
@@ChestersHobbies update ! Bought the Burt bronze one with alg trigger in it pumped ! Thanks bro for the info !
Absolutely! I didn't realize they had some cerakote options now too. That's very cool. Should be a ton of fun. Enjoy!
Not to much sound deadening Suppressed , Slight but not to much. 2:16 / 4:52
Not sure I would sink all that Zentico cash on a PSA
Yeah I hear that. Fair enough, to each his own. All my other AKs are in configurations I'm happy with and I really like the alpha ak aesthetic. With very few affordable 105 options available, this ended up being the route I took. Been a lot of fun so far. Thanks for watching!
On today’s episode of why not let’s take a 105 and make weigh as much as an RPK.
US made aks have a very shady rep its hard to wanna take a chance on one. Its imports all day every day any day for me.
For what it’s worth, I have a Romanian Draco, a Zastava m70 and a PSA ak104. I shoot the PSA the most
All that money on a silencer and Zenitco and you get a Holosun
Yup, fair point. For me it makes sense. This is just a range gun, for fun. I also have an optic on every gun so it gets pretty expensive putting aimpoint, trijicons and eotechs on everything. For range guns, I'm quite happy with holosun. Thanks for watching.
Bro 😂 you took 3 steps and already out of breath lmao 🤣 you need some cardiovascular work out and exercises 😂
Oh yeah, I'm super out of shape. But I'm out there doing it and getting better. This video is almost two years old - I definitely got more in shape over time, but still have a lot of work to do. Constantly working towards improving. Thanks for watching.
@ChestersHobbies I wasn't offended you or nothing, I'm just surprised since thought that you do this drill every other week you would have ace through with no problem
But it's all good 👍.
No worries, yeah this was my second video and it was the tail end of winter (my range isn't accessible during winter) so I was even more out of shape than normal. Making videos is actually pretty good exercise 😂
You should probably order a few spare firing pins fry firing it after every mag
Thanks Trent - I probably will in the future just in case, but so far the reliability on this one has been very good. Only one failure to eject, otherwise it's been great. I have an update video showing it as an sbr if you're interested. Thanks for watching!
Any issues?
So far I'm about 800 rounds in with only the one recorded failure to fire. It's been running great. Mine was a very early one, I think they've made improvements since then as well. Thanks for watching!
