PSA goes above and beyond to correct any issues. I sent in my AK (an early GF3) for a notch forming on the front trunnion. While my rifle was at their shop they noticed my forged trunnions were the early versions and not up-to-date with what they are currently using. Both my friend and I bought our first AR's from PSA. Other than a short break in period, they have held up really well. Have been chuggin' along eating all sorts of cheap ammo.
The AK-74 is the softest-shooting centerfire rifle you can own. It weighs about a pound more than most ARs, has a world-class muzzle brake, and the 5.45x39 is about 5-10% less powerful than 5.56x45.

@Operational AF I always thought tests like that proved nothing really. Of course the AR does well it's a sealed system for the most part. AK's have large open ports and that tends to allow mud and sand in of course you could spray it out with a garden hose and it would work.

I really like PSA for their stance on the 2A and making it affordable for everyone, but it seems like their goal of affordability is coming at the expense of proper R&D along with a lack of QC which leads to them getting shade thrown at them by almost every other name in the AK game for using their customers as beta testers.
This was really well said.. still with good intentions and PSA deserves support and appreciation for what they're really doing. That being said, they could simply implement a stronger QC and R&D element to their business and delay their profitability by a couple of short years as an investment into their brand for the long term. As a business owner, this was always worth it in my experience and it'd be nice to see PSA level that skepticism people have so that they can be know for their deals and support of 2A by getting affordable but quality firearms in more hands of US citizens. I just hope they don't arrive at this conclusion too late.
QC + R&D is what makes the $3,000 AK's... $3,000..... if the company is willing to replace any of their faults, so I don't have to pay an extra $2,000. Then I'm cool with that.

People keep perpetuating the myth that AKs are a solid design that any 3rd world country can make with no problems, failing to see that the AK design is meant for mass producing with proper tooling and the quality control from Russia when they establish themselves in comblok countries.
And that theyre cheap.
They were only cheap when a bunch where surplused at a discount, or 'purchased' from warehouses formerly owned by the Soviet Union. Theyre not cheap to make, they take skilled workers and expensive equiptment.
@@ALovelyBunchOfDragonballz they are extremely cheap to make but only at mass scale which isnt possible for the US bc of import bans and small demand. think of the AK like the model-T of firearms. The AK-74 is the softest-shooting centerfire rifle you can own. It weighs about a pound more than most ARs, has a world-class muzzle brake, and the 5.45x39 is about 5-10% less powerful than 5.56x45.

@Operational AF but I can freeze my guns in my mom's freezer and it'll still run. Way more likely since there is no mud inside her home.
@Operational AF I always thought tests like that proved nothing really. Of course the AR does well it's a sealed system for the most part. AK's have large open ports and that tends to allow mud and sand in of course you could spray it out with a garden hose and it would work.
@@madeconomist458 The round is 25% less powerful than 5.56 and the AK-74 with the same mounting capabilities weighs 2-4lbs more than an equal AR-15. The only reason GT's 74 recoils so controllably is almost entirely because of the weight of the firearm. A Zentico AK is ridiculously heavy.

Very nice, it is good to see a company taking criticism AND making changes and not excuses
I’ve owned several other ar-15s and aks from different manufacturers and recently purchased psa products from them to see what they are all about and I gotta say for the cheese I’m impressed haven’t had any issues as of yet and I like what they are all about .
I have been consistently impressed with how PSA has tried to improve. I think their AR15s are still not the best idea considering the sheer amount of amazing options and how saturated the AR market is but their AKs look very competitive for a budget option
You have consistently low expectations then lol. Their "improvements" are just trying to get to the lowest bar standard that everyone else is at and keep failing.
AKs are overrated and unnecessary. No hate, but have you ever researched the 7.62x39 versus 5.56? You have managed to extend the supply lines of Russia and China with new offerings. Stop buying enemies shit. The calibers AR come in make the AKs obsolete.
@@winstonsmiths2449 correct. A subpar 5 moa (if you're lucky) AK doesn't justify all the hassle required to get a decent one in the USA when we have quality AR-15 all over the place. Plus PSA can't even make a easy to replicate gun like the AR-15 without astronomically borking every step of it, so why would anyone trust PSA with a hard to replicate gun like the AK?
@@Slay_No_More you do know that PSA sells thousands and not hundreds of ARs right? So the failure rate would be significantly higher and majority of the issues were just autistic OCD gun owners complaining about redudant things like coating and muh tolerances.
@@Slay_No_More Hmm.I have 3 ARs from PSA zero issues to date. Now 10 years ago, yeah, it as a crap shoot. But even then, if you got lucky you have a good rifle still running today.
Love me an AR-15, but AKs are hot. The metal-on-metal feel of the action is something of yesteryear.
What part of the action in an ar15 is not metal on metal?
@@Oggy_597 steel on steel is probably more accurate. Steel guns "feel" different, do they not?
@@Oggy_597 he said "metal on metal FEEL." Charging an AK feels and sounds more metallic and machine-like. I agree with him.
@@shaunn7778 I suppose. I've never thought that a nice ar with a good amount of lube feels bad to charge though. I woupd actually say the opposite is true. The action of my rifle feels quite nice and smooth.
@@Centermass762 I would say that is mostly attributed to the way the buffer spring slides in the buffer tube and gives you that singature "sproing" noise the ar platform has. That noise can be mitigated with various aftermarket styles of buffer springs though.
I've purchased one PSA item, a complete AR upper. The upper arrived and the compensator was upside down, not tightened, and freely spinning. Great QA.
Passing qc on to the customer
Guess at those prices, gotta save on production somewhere...i would rather it be an assembly issue, than an actual parts issue 😂
That last bit about before commenting really hits home. Not every troll needs feed, not everything defended.
People can say what they want about PSA but I’ve got a couple AR pistols and AKM’s from them and they run great! They are well known for taking constructive criticism and making their firearms the best they can be from generation to generation. They listen to their customer base and on top of that they come with a lifetime warranty and I love their mission statement. Most of those who talk shit are the ones who paid 3x the money for their rifles and have never owned a PSA. Decide for yourselves. Have a great day!
I’ve had very very good experience with PSA. I have several of their AR’s from the freedom line all the way up to their premium with the FN barrel. I also have an AKP from them. I’ve only ever had two issues out of them all and they were quick to fix them both times no questions asked. They aren’t the best but they’re very good for the money and they have great customer service.
What right do the intros have to always be so good?
As I planted my cheeks on the shitter, I felt a disturbance in the Air-Force. Papa flannel was calling to me.
My fingers rapidly decended upon my phone, digging my way through local larping notifications, the layers of clp crusting and cracking along the edges on my TACTICAL PHONE CASE.
"Yes, there it isss. My precious 🤤."
The video begins, the deuce started dropping, and the serotonin began flowing.
Life is good.
At the end of the day PSA is probably still the best value out there and the more rifles in our hands the better.
God, I love how well you can hear the springs in that Fuller AK105.
If they stand behind their products and try to fix the problems. Then that's a good company.
Remember when AK-74s were $360 at gun shows? And the question that has reverberated thru my head since then : "Why didnt I buy one then?"
Thank goodness i picked up a 5.45 and a 5.56 Saigas in the $500 range
Picked up two SAR-2s for $350 each back in the day.
I've been putting rounds downrange through my GF3 when it's nice out and it rocks. My first AK. Can't wait to get my hands on the 5.56 AK when PSA releases that.
It's awesome that PSA fixed that rifle and asked for a second review. Here's to hoping they get better with their AKs. PSA is a great company for being open to criticism and wanting to fix the issues that are found with their product.
Man I had to pause the video and pull it up on my tv with surround sound and wake the neighbors up with the intro. If yawl haven’t watched the videos on surround sound do your self a favor and do it. Now I want a compilation of all the intros in one video and watch em on my tv setup.
now that new MW2 is out, i think we need garand thumb and lucas botkin operators to use in multiplayer.
I think Milsim SPECGRU I is Garand thumb and I have a feeling MW2 developers must be fans of this channel and T.REX ARMS for sure.
Tarkov has rogues named Garandthumb and Aimbotkin. 😂

Glad to see round 2. Waiting for my 16xx first run to grenade. No peeling like yours though.
You should review one of their ARs and compare it to a high end AR. Put them through stress tests and all that. I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised.
Hahaha.
No RUclipsr can conduct a proper engineering grade test. Takes way too much time and resources and dare I say it, expertise.
I'm sure that some Tuber will design a test that will capture a lot of views if someone hasn't already. However, a RUclips "torture test" isn't really a test. It's marketing a channel. Total fluff.
Yeah, send a few PSA ARs to an actual testing facility and see how they do v. LMT, LWRC, FNH, HK...
There's a reason why PSA doesn't run after even small government contracts...
@@JD-tn5lz since ur such an expert what goes into an "engineering grade test" that a torture test cant figure out.
9/10 when u buy a gun ur only concern is will this gun shoot the bad guy when needed and not explode, not if the saftey selector might be .0005" out of tolerance. A torture test shows a consumer everything they need to know. It tells u when the gun may fail, what parts may fail, if ur gonna run into feeding issues, how the controls work, what not to do, etc.
The only difference in a company like PSA and say Daniel defense is the name, size, and material used. Stuff like this is no different than Apple vs Android. Ive built PSA rifles that run thru 10k rounds with ease and had some fail, also built LMT rifles that run no problem and had some fail aswell. All companies stood by there product, fixed the issue and everyone that failed are still pingin steel to this day. As a machinist ik mistakes can happen, and u may even get incompotent employees who just ignore it in QC. Sucks when it happens but we're all human, what matters is how the company treats and rectifies the mistake so it doesnt happen again.
We should never put down companies who are trying to help the regular guy (90% of the population) who cant afford a $2k rifle to stay armed and exercise their 2nd admendment rights.
When it comes to 7 yard drills the results are negligible
They still need to fix the bolt and extractor issue with the AR that takes AK magazines. Was going to get one but glad I did my research first.
@@verakoo6187 "90% of the population) who cant afford a $2k rifle" This is such a bullshit cope it's laughable because not only is there a zpap for 1k, studies shown where the current generation is putting it's money into and it's complete materialistic garbage. So shut up about "not affording" you're just simps who won't break from your degenerate waste of money to actually prep and buy something valuable. The vast majority of the free money given to us by government was spent on drugs and entertainment.

i appreciate you making these because, the highest end gear is going to be out of reach for, really everyone, and the average person who has, rent, family, other concerns, etc. lords work my brother
PSA rifles are usually synonymous with cheap. If you have 1 k to plunk down on an AK go with Zastava, WBP, or even K USA.
