The thoughts and actions outlined in the video are personal to me and everyone will need to view things from their own perspective.
Thanks i love the campsite reviews and its something that very few other bikers do and none of them as well as you.
I really appreciate your thoughts and makes it all worthwhile, thank you 🙏
Thanks Andy, great video 👍👍
Cheers Ian
Great video, great campsites and reviews. First place i look for campsite reviews for motorbike get aways. Stayed in a few after seeing your review. What a great hobby!! The views at Glen Rosa look amazing, worth more than £5👍
Thank you, I’m so pleased that it’s a useful source of info.. great location on Arran for a stay 👍🏻
Lovely site and great video
Cheers John
Great to see you back on the road again. Scotland is really an awesome place.
Thanks for your videos on the Mitas tyres. You saved me hours in research, had them fitted and I’m in Estonia now working my way up to Finland.
I’ve PayPalled you some cash by way of a thank you, look forward to your summer adventures 🙂✌🏻
It certainly is Warren, however where you’re heading must be amazing! Glad the tyres worked out and I really appreciate your support, the money is always spent on new gear to review. Take care on the trip and I look forward to hearing more 👍🏻
What a cracking site, beautiful place, looks so peaceful.Another great video, thanks again. 👍
Thanks, it was a wonderful place and to have more than one night for me is unusual 👍🏻
Excellent video, that's one place that's on my to do list this summer, thanks Andrew 👍
Cheers and you won’t be disappointed 👍🏻
Fantastic vid again bike looks absolutely superb andy 👌
Thanks, coming on nicely
Lovely scenery Andrew and no midges!
Unfortunately …they did arrive 😂
Reckon I could chill out there for days, brilliant hobby.
I usually move on day by day but found this place to be so nice and relaxing I had to stay 4 nights…it’s not a bad hobby 😊
Love your videos and watch with a passion, however I think a lot of people would like to see you review the local pub or town where you go to eat as this would be vital to most bikers and campers alike. Keep them coming though great videos.
Funnily enough I did so the next night in different location..that’s brilliant in a different way and as pub campsite had some filming in and around pub… watch out for that one, it’ll be published next week 👍🏻
Another great video. It's handy to see the sites you review. What would be good is to have a map of the campsites you've been to so if someone fancies a trip away somewhere it would be easy to check out the sites in any particular area by watching the relevant videos you've produced. Many thanks 👍
Thanks Bob, I’ll have to give that some thought but good idea
Agree that would be really handy actually
@@oliverwhitby4778 google maps might be useful as have them all pinned along with prospective ones but I also have private stuff on as well so need to think l how I’d separate!
Nice one buddy ,a might take a wee dash over their Maself on the x ,cheers 💙
Worth it and probably worth a walk up the valley
£5 a night is my kind of site. It would be £15 if it was in England but it's nice to have reasonable prices in the more far flung places. I think Scotland and the Isles are on the agenda for later in the Summer/Autumn for me, I'll make a note of the site. Great review video, may your adventures be free from mozzies. 😅
Oh yes, I do like a bargain 😊 have a great time when you get up there 👍🏻
Beautiful looking site. I'm, new to motorbike camping and only stayed a couple of nights on commercial sites so far, but I am looking forward to finding places like that if we ever get a summer. If only it wasn't such a long ride from Norfolk!
Yes, bit of a trip across for you… there’s some nice sites in Norfolk and I’m overdue a revisit 😊 Try using google maps, searching for ‘campsites’ then just browse through the list looking for ones that are more simple, none commercial, looking pictures.. usually I check prices first and discount anything over £10 (most of time) then pin it to map for future visit! It’s a good winter activity hunting down cheaper and amazing sites 👍🏻
That's a great tip, thank you. I'm off to the ABR in a couple of weeks, but will make it a mission to do as you have suggested so I have some options for the rest of the summer.
@@GreyBiker99 watch out for my Honda NX500, all being well it will be on the Rally Raid stand… if I do make it say hello when you spot me 😊
@@thecampingbiker791 I certainly will! Hope to see you there.
@@GreyBiker99great stuff
Coco’s wild camping in mid wales £10 a night check it out . Yeh I’m a fan of your campsite reviews I’m staying in Caldbeck for a few days next week and white sands is a favourite of mine there’s a few others you reviewed on my list . Great flog again .
Thanks Neil, I’ve pinned that to my google maps for a visit, indeed probably do so later in the month! I’m pleased you find the reviews useful, and although they don’t get viewings into the big numbers I continue doing them as firstly I enjoy doing them and secondly I also see it as building a good source of info for like minded campers… happy days 👍🏻
Forgot to say I nearly ended up last week at Brecon Wild Camping but in the end went different direction 👍🏻
@@thecampingbiker791 nice one 👍, no showers there though just toilet & water. Coco’s the same . All the best Andy.
@@neilwilliams9844 cheers 👍🏻
Nice video, I will go here soon on my CB500x. Have you been to the Red Squirrel in Glen Coe? £15 a night.
Thanks 🙏 no not been but have pinned it on google maps for a visit although bit on the top end pricing for me.. don’t like spending much 😂
Nice site and cheap but i like a shower some days. Were the midges out in force?
Appreciate the shower when I eventually get one… yes midges think it’s heaven as well 😂
Random question Andrew. What criteria do you consider when choosing from your vast tent collection for a specific trip?
Or is it simply grab and go 😁
Hi Stephen, good question and definitely not grab and go..lots of thought put into each trip 😀
Firstly, depends on type of trip, base camping for a few days would have slightly roomier tent, 2 person usually, but if moving on day by day I’d normally pick a smaller 1 person quick put up and down tent, as less is better for that type of trip and this is how I mostly travel.
Secondly, subject to the season I’d choose between a 3/4 season tent, with solid inner and fly to floor, for colder months and one with plenty of inner mesh and gap between fly and floor for warmer weather. If it’s going to be particularly wet forecast I’d take the Robens Buck Creek2 for the small light pack size but having porch area!
For my extended travel plans, likely in warmer weather, I’ll likely take one of my MSR Elixir tents, but not yet sure between the Elixir 1 or 2, but likely the 1 plus the attachable MSR Gear Shed for complete flexibility! If it was colder weather longer term travel, I’d definitely take the Robens Buck Creek2!
Hope that makes some sense and having to put thought into what would I keep if could only have one tent “to serve them all” I think it might just be the Robens…very interesting thought process you’ve just made me go through 😂
@@thecampingbiker791 thanks for that Andrew, very interesting 👍
@@stephendodd9360 no problem Stephen 👍🏻
How’s the roads up there ??
Road to campsite very good, generally on the island lots of potholes but no worse than anywhere else.. excellent riding routes and the island can be done in a days ride!
How do you charge all your gizmos on the go?
With difficulty 😂
I have a power bank and with 500X had switched usb for charging while riding plus live usb on side of bike for phone, batteries etc when pitched, but power bank is an issue as needs more power than bike can give it. With a lot of campsites you can manage to plug in somewhere but I also charge at every coffee stop!
@@thecampingbiker791 I’ve been using a 15w solar panel and a powerbank. Just bought a 36w panel and another bank. Hoping they will do the job for a week away. No charging from bike or coffee shops needed. Fingers crossed..
@@40mosher interested to see how the solar panel works!
@@thecampingbiker791 I hoping it will fit under the carry net in the top of one of my outback boxes. Best laid plans and all that..
@@40mosher you’ll need a bigger bike 😂

Friedly sugestion from Sweden! 👍
Okay, that’s a deal… I’ll try to pick up the pace 👍🏻
£5 what do you get for that? Wild camping cost nothing. Not worth £5.
All about individual perspective and choices I guess… although in Scotland this is first campsite I’ve used for years 😊
Half mile up the glen there are amazing wild camping locations.
@@randomnamemcstain6731 good to know, I usually wild camp in Scotland but for me with the motorbike sometimes it’s a bit limiting.. in fact this is first campsite I’ve used in Scotland for about 10 years
Easily worth £5. Did this site with the missus. Ten quid a night and no wally trolley. Arran's good for non motorised types. Great holiday on a tight budget and worked fine. Golden rule is to think ahead. I'm ex military and a low maintenance camper so Monty Pythons Australian rule 1 applies.
@@grahamhorne6956 🤣🤣 couldn’t remember that sketch but looked it up and brilliant, as usual 😂
