This is by far my favorite video you've done so far. You included a lot of things I really like. I'm a huge fan of motorcycle camping and already thought you were badass before I seen you do it. Now only more so lol. Also I'm big on understanding your landscape and knowing a few things about the trees, plants and wild life that surround you, so good on you for getting into that too! And also that stool you brought is one of my favorites. I think you should try it again next time, but it defiantly works better with some longer sticks for legs. Also for the top of the legs that slide into the leather sleeves of the stool, it's good to round those ends out a bit with a bevel on the wood. Helps keep the leather seat in good shape in the long term.
I remember in a video a while ago, you expressed some worries of rather or not these videos are worth it for you to keep doing. That's up to you to decide of course, but there's a lot of us who really do appreciate them.
Thank you so so much for the kinds words, feedback and encouragement! You have no idea how much reading positive comments like this from someone who actually cares and put their time into showing me really means to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I certainly don't want to give up on making videos any time soon, some of them will not be the most epic, but I will always try to put out videos that add some measure of value or entertainment. Thanks again!
Those wonderful and human things that happen to all of us (falling coffee, breaking a complicated car, ...) that makes your stories believable and more human. Thank you very much Careena and keep it up!👏👏👏👌
Yes I agree. I like her videos alot
These videos are really therapeudic for me in this crazy world. Much appreciated.
Glad you like them!
Nice to see your adept with your skills for survival
Awsome to watch this !
Careena, I enjoyed the video. I know you like to use traditional old school gear, so I won't throw out too many ideas.
I'm 63, and live down in Idaho. I've been solo camping off my Harley for decades. I love the freedom and adventure it provides. Camping off a bike means you keep it simple and minimal.
For shelter, I use a military poncho, GoreTex Bivy, Tyvek ground sheet, Down Bag & Air Pad. Usually I like a plow-point setup which provides adequate cover. If I have no trees, I'll tie to the high-side of the bike, opposite to its lean. I use a puck for the kickstand, if needed.
My mess is a titanium mug, stuffed with some Hex Fuel tabs, foil, a P38, spork, Granola Bars, creamer, and Medaglia D'Oro (instant espresso). I like to eat locally in town at a diner or bar & grill... Tasty looking grub though!
My bikes saddle bags hold a trauma kit, Bic, small Gerber MxTool, and a change of clothes. Good boots, my vest & jacket, a lite hoody, and plenty of cash.
Each time I go, I'll take note of what I used and didn't. Most people bring too much crap. Baby whips and TP are always included...
One last thing... for personal protection an airhorn is amazing. It'll scare the Bajeebers out of any low life who happens by. I've had black bears wander up to me in the night... one blast, and they left a trail of pucky that necessitated a shovel to bury.
Happy & Safe adventures!
I like the setup it's simple and practical using the raincoat as a tarp.
The whole cooking food without a pot or pan, did not expect that. That was cool to see. Especially the eggs.
Thank you for your videos and your work you put in them.
Thanks for watching!
@@careenaalexis always!
Yeah! Everything is cooler on a motorcycle 😎 That breakfast sandwich looked amazing to me!❤
At 9:58 a loud tree knock! Enjoyed your camping adventure. I love your genuine nature and passion for the outdoors. You always cook great meals. Way to stay healthy!! Your channel is very relaxing to watch. Be safe.
Good catch!! You know what that is I know what that is. Ya I have seen them.
I heard that too there was a big echo to follow 😮
Damn... you heard that?!?! lol
Nice one... it took me 3 tries.
Lady, it was a real pleasure to watch someone who knew what they were doing do their thing. Nice axe skills.
She has good hand to eye coordination.
Great skills young one !
From "tarp-poncho" shelter , to bacon on a stick, egg pods you keep a camp lively.Be safe, be healthy
This is one of the best videos I have seen lately, brought back a lot of memories of camping with my daughter. Thanks!!
Awesome, no expensive adventure bike and just the basics. Love it.
From 2006 thru about 2015, I used to do roadtrips (often muliistate) with friends on our Kawasaki KLR650 Dual Sport bikes. From North Florida up to western North Carolina a few times were the longest rides. For one period of over two years my bike was my only transportation. Rain or shine, hot or cold. 😎👍
My first long ride I built a larger cargo rack, added tank panniers and saddle bags, and carried far too much stuff, most of which went unused. I learned quickly what was really needed. 😀
It’s just so darn awesome to watch you do your thing 👍🏻 and to have you include a dualsport, well now you’re really talking my language! That’s what I’m all about “DUALSPLORING” and motocamping! Great video Careena! Thanks. Cheers from the west coast, eh!
Love your videos. Thanks for sharing your outdoor adventures. Keep your videos reeling in!
Hello Careena. Great to see how you camp. Nice bike.
Can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed your video. As someone else so accurately described it...therapeutic. ❤
Nice choice for a bush bike with the Yamaha XT250 there Lexi... Simple aircooled injected bike, not much to go wrong in the bush. No radiator, no coolant hoses, no thermostat to fail. Pretty bulletproof little bikes. Nice choice.
Indeed!
I was going to ask. Ty
Stellar video as always Careena! That looked like a fun lil' overnighter there... and plenty of good eats too 👍 Love that little camp stool... definitely gotta try my hand at making one of those 👍
All my best to yourself and Brandon my friend!
Winter motorcycle camping is the best! Thanks for the show. 👍
Great overnighter and the food looked yummy. Thanks for sharing.
I really miss your content I need to dive back in and catch up on your vids. Always inspire me to go solo camping because I can never get anyone to join or appreciate nature the way I do.
Little Fry Pan you can use it for a Plate too ! 👍😁✌️
just getting into adventure riding and figuring out how to "efficiently" gear up for camping. you've made it look like a lot of fun. nice to see the pleasure a little effort and preparation can bring. thank you!
Very knowledgeable, down to earth lady and cool gear. Love watching to wind down at night and when I'm thinking about camping and can't get out. Really enjoy the content. Thank you.
Nice chilled out camp👍Best way to go on 2 wheels . Love the Bushcraft Spain stuff which seems to crop up in quite a few videos these days. Definitely one to check out. ATVB from a much warmer but wetter Malaysia🏕🇲🇾
All I can say is that Brandon is one lucky guy. You are a really amazing woman!
And this, boys and girls is how it is done! Outstanding, Careena... just outstanding!
agreed!
Love your videos Careena! That breakfast looked so yummy! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
You have all the cool tools from that knife, to the saw, and that XT250! Would like to see trail riding footage too.
Awesome video! That is amazing. Your fire staring capabilities are admired. You do everything exactly right. Best!
I didn't know about the way you cooked the egg, thanks for showing how to.Nice to see the Fjällräven too😉
Great cooking skills and well organized!!
Love these videos been raining most days in the uk for the last 2 months or so it seems, cant go on a trip here so this is next best thing, thankyou.
As always totally brilliant content..... Look forward to your next adventure...
That looked like FUN! AND that breakfast- YUM!
I LOVE the fact that you use simple, minimal, and not mainstream gear. You make it more about the experience and less about the gear. Keep it coming.
1st seeing videos. Awesome. Thanks for information about blowing ashes off coals before cooking on them. Small grill would be nice.
Great video! Always enjoy seeing what you are up to. We recently started tarp camping as well. Enjoying the change. Happy fall camping! Looking forward to the next one
You are so at home in the wilderness Enjoy your videos 👌🏾
What I love about your videos you explain things so great.and I learned a lot of new things from your videos
Beautiful area nice camp looks relaxing! I get minimal camping but a simple, small metal, screen to cook on is a practical option.
I am learning allot from you thanks. It's difficult to make a 15 minute hiking video interesting but you give me allot of great ideas.
that meal looked awesome!!! thanks for sharing the beautiful north with us!!
Love this, the detail is so so good.
Very cool egg trick and love the portable chair. Great video.
Great video, I really enjoyed this. Something about watching people do what they enjoy. You earned a new subscriber !
Very good Careena video comes back quickly thank you.
Perfect bugout setup! Sweet
A very good video. I still do a single pancho shelter every now and then. I prefer using a twin pancho set-up ... leaving a gap in the middle so I can have a fire inside. If it's raining outside I suspend a small tarp about a foot from the top of the gap. Love your cooking tips.
In the 1970's when motorcycle gear was an invention, & riding gear was leather & expensive , we lit our cigarettes off the hot exhaust, & the fire too. The latter was started with gasoline which ensured you got results ! Flashlights were big , heavy & dim ,The only L E D 's were in the bottom of your electric coffee pot to indicate it was on .Luggage was the cheapest strongest backpacks tied together & thrown over the seat , sometimes tied to the passenger pegs.Clothing was the layered look ,& anything was made workable .Cooking was fire heated rocks assisted by some foil. Like your video .
After everything I've watched you guys do, it's a small tub of coffee that whips your butt!!! 😂🤣😂🤣 Awesome to see ya'll Moto! What do you guys not freaking do??? LMAO. A+ C!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
Super cool that you moto camp. Thanks for the video. Stay well and be safe.
If there's a healthy looking river or creek where you're at next time you fancy a bit of halumi or steak on your way out I recommend grabbing a decent sized flat stone if you can spot one, It'll add some weight to your pack but be super worth it in regards to cooking at dinner time.
Just clean that sucker off, put it on your coals to let it heat up and you're good to go!
Awesome camping trip. Looks like you really had a good time and have the routines and cooking down pat. Looking forward to the next one...
Long time subscriber. I bought my first dirt bike this summer. You and I have similar tastes in dirt bikes. I can't wait to start riding and camping. In S. Oregon, we are blessed w miles and miles of trails . Thanks
There is a sports bar in TN that serves "traditional "poutine which I have never heard of. The owner is from Canada and he added it to the menu. All I can say is that It was delicious! Thank you for sharing another fun adventure
I am so happy I found your videos again
バイクの仕様。キャンプ道具のセンス。ファッションの選択。生き様を感じさせる動画をありがとう❤森に響き渡る薪割りの音は神秘的でした✨
I love motocamping. Great video, Alexis.
The Bacon & Egg looked Fab. Great Videos, keep up the good work 🤘
Lol, yikes I had written beautiful saw. And that emoji was to follow. The drooling one.
I love breakfast over a camp fire motocamping. Your method is brilliantly simple! Easy clean-up too.
Another great Autumnal night out Careena. The tarp seat idea is a great idea for light carrying, as you said it would have worked better with slightly longer branch legs. Is there a better camp fire breakfast than a bacon & egg muffin 😋
Another fantastic video Careena! Any camping is great, but it’s even more fun on a bike. I must say that out of all the camping channels I watch on RUclips, you have to be the best shot with an axe out of all of them. Bullseye every hit! Brilliant little chair too, takes up no room in the kit when not in use. ..
Awesome video. Love watching them. You make fire starting look so easy. Keep up the good work and thanks for taking us along. Take care.
Glad you like them! Thanks so much for being here!
Another awesome video. Thanks for sharing 👍
Love that fricken stool!
Thank you for going back to old school video
My fave
The breakfast looked delicious. 🤗🥑
Love that ground tarp you use! Eventually will have to save up and get one
First timer here.
Mad respect here, woman miter cycle, open camping, the eggs and great idea for Bfast!
I wanted a poncho that will fit in my military bag to use as such and to have a rain jacket. This sold me on it and camping.
Amazing set up you got going.
And cheese curds thought they only come from Wisconsin. Lol
I love poutain and Tim Hortons.
I really enjoy ur videos. Today I saw U cooking eggs in the shell.ive seen other people try there's didnt turn out. Urs looked ez to do. & good to eat thanku
Cool that you are moto camping. I do it for a week every year for vacation and I love it. People don’t know what they are missing.
It's so fun! This is my first bike ever so I can't wait to get more comfortable with it next season and start outfitting it with saddlebags and gear racks!
Cool way to cook those eggs. I will experiment with that on my next bike camping trip. Enjoyed the video!
That's way of camp, is good where there is no annoying or dangerous insects.
Greetings
Oh Careena such an awesome video. Very reminiscent of my solo canoe trips in Wabakimi Park. Keep up the great videos 🙏 Miigwech
Thankyou Careena, this video made my day.
Your food always looks so good!
Love the videos Careena. Thank you
A little Y farm disc would be great for that chair idea.. Ie similar the the catch pan on a weber barbeque. Saves on packing poles. TY for shearing.
Amazing! Great scenery!
Greetings from Greece!
Sometimes I lose track of just how long your winters are. I guess just as long as our summers here in sunny SA. However I am glad to hear that you are planning more bike camping - this is how I got introduced to your channel, btw. I enjoy the content on both channels. Thanks for sharing your talent: The cinimatic video of your and Brandon's getaway is excellent!
You capture the wonderful quiet of a solo camping trip. Well done
Hey Careena. You're using my dream kit. And a bike. Wow. Lol. Really good choice equipment. Thank you for the video. Cheers 🍻
Keep on campin.
The Indigenous peoples also used sweet fern to keep berries fresh longer. They would put sprigs of it in the baskets berries were stored in.
I read that too, they actually natural grow around blueberries for the same reason, so cool!
This is exactly what I want to do (as I'm bound to a laptop with my bike in the garage). Great video. Thanks!
Excellent vlog good to see you again
Love the video,Very informative and entertaining to watch 👍
Nice job on making up camp and nicely done on video.. Yummy looking food . 🇺🇸🇺🇸🪓🔪👍👍
Awesome video !! Ur talented!! Awesome content thanks for sharing
When I light fires and the pieces of wood are long I just leave them that way and feed them into the fire as they burn down, saves chopping them down smaller. I really liked that seat cover to make the stool with!. Cool channel, cool lady!.
Love the xt250! Aways wanted to take mine on a camping trip as well, but never had a chance to as the area i want to go to camping spot are always taken; maybe I'll get lucky this summer.
Thanks for sharing! GOD Bless you and all your family! 🙏
C
Very cool Careena! Thanks for sharing 🤠
Fantastic video and the first I’ve seen of yours, proper bushcraft for a change is very refreshing and my kind of simplistic camping. Now subscribed so I can watch your other videos, 👍
love motorcycle camping. get away and relax for a few nights
Smart, beautiful. Thank you for the video. And I rested my soul and took a lot of things into account. (birch bark, cooking meat and eggs, hanging a bag with groceries separately...) Good luck and God bless you.
Great deal first timer. Always make your most noise on the first arrival . And knowing OSHA compliances will help you to morph that quintessential to always label the contents inside a container.
Love the lean to shelter 🇨🇦 🇳🇿
After a shit day at work, delivering concrete, in the shit English weather, to the shit moaning shit Bristol public, your vids help me unwind Careena, keep the videos going missus .
Very nice video 👍👍
Great video! Can't wait until my number comes up on the bucksaw waitlist!
