At bedtime our parents came to the bedside of each of us one at a time and we said our night time prayer kneeling by the bed. I neglected to maintain these important traditions with my own children. In fact I'm ashamed of my neglect. Thank you for the special moment in your video.
I raised my two sons as a single parent from 4&5 yrs old - I read the word out loud to.them often - They both been married over 15 yrs now - I attribute things like that from reading the word out loud as I read it -

That tiny cabin really is remarkable, giving you the freedom to overnight at remote, unspoiled locations, and a cosy home-from-home wherever you set it down. Respect! I've been to America a few times, but never once visited the state or river I was taught to spell correctly at a tender age! Thanks for sharing another adventure with us. When my son, my dear, late wife, and I were vacationing in Minnesota many years ago, we made a point to visit the Mississippi headwaters. Seeing the lake/marsh become such a tiny stream was cool, as we'd seen the delta end dump into the Gulf of Mexico, and various points in between. Made a point of wading across the Mississippi, which was about a foot deep then and there. Love how peaceful these videos are.
I'm in my final weeks of college and all I've been doing for the last couple of months was study, go to the gym and sleep. I watch your videos while eating my porridge in the morning and they're one of my few weekly highlights. They really help me calm down before heading off to class. Thanks for your amazing effort!

My family use to camp all summer. A tent the first two years and then a small trailer for two years. My Dad traveled back and forth on weekends then took his two week vacation. Such great memories, fishing, hiking, board games. If you can, take your kids camping. I will always love the time we spent during our camping summers.

When Hank Williams Jr recorded his song, A Country Boy Can Survive, he started it with, "The preacher man says it's the end of time and the Mississippi River she's a going dry" and I couldn't picture how that could possibly happen. But here we are. Hank was just 30 years or so ahead of his time. It's amazing that what you showed us is the "Mighty Mississippi". I think that "humble beginning" is actually a lot more humble than it was a few years ago.
I've been to the Mississippi River around the Guttenberg iowa area. It's beautiful. I'm from fort dodge iowa so it was an easy drive east on highway 20. It's been a few years since I've been to the river and I can't wait to get back there.
I'm sure that's the happiest doggie in the world. He gets to roam free in nature and runs next to his master's bike for exercise. He can dig anywhere without being reprimanded. At night he has a warm, cozy fireplace to curl up to.
What a beautiful life you have. We all need less of stuff and more of creation. We were meant to connect with God and all that He has given us, through nature, to live a truly fulfilling life. We just need to slow down and acknowledge the beauty all around us. So happy Ellie gets to enjoy this life with you. What a blessed girl she is. God bless you and your family. ❤

Since i’m new to your channel i don’t know her back story: did she come into your life as a puppy, is she a mixed breed, a rescue, how long has she been with you, and finally how old is she? Oh, as i see her aging how much longer will she be able to go on your adventures, especially on the winter ones? Oh dear another question-do you put flea/tick meds on her regularly? We live in the suburbs in a small city and my four dogs need their meds every 30 days and we never go in the country or we will be overcome with those pesky fleas. Nice trip. The head of the Mississippi reminds me of my neck of the woods where we have the head of the Hudson River at Henderson lake in the Adirondacks. Of course Hudson River is only 400 miles to New York City harbor.

When my son, my dear, late wife, and I were vacationing in Minnesota many years ago, we made a point to visit the Mississippi headwaters. Seeing the lake/marsh become such a tiny stream was cool, as we'd seen the delta end dump into the Gulf of Mexico, and various points in between. Made a point of wading across the Mississippi, which was about a foot deep then and there.

My family use to camp all summer. A tent the first two years and then a small trailer for two years. My Dad traveled back and forth on weekends then took his two week vacation. Such great memories, fishing, hiking, board games. If you can, take your kids camping. I will always love the time we spent during our camping summers.

When Hank Williams Jr recorded his song, A Country Boy Can Survive, he started it with, "The preacher man says it's the end of time and the Mississippi River she's a going dry" and I couldn't picture how that could possibly happen. But here we are. Hank was just 30 years or so ahead of his time. It's amazing that what you showed us is the "Mighty Mississippi". I think that "humble beginning" is actually a lot more humble than it was a few years ago.

I've been to the Mississippi River around the Guttenberg iowa area. It's beautiful. I'm from fort dodge iowa so it was an easy drive east on highway 20. It's been a few years since I've been to the river and I can't wait to get back there.

I'm sure that's the happiest doggie in the world. He gets to roam free in nature and runs next to his master's bike for exercise. He can dig anywhere without being reprimanded. At night he has a warm, cozy fireplace to curl up to.

Since i’m new to your channel i don’t know her back story: did she come into your life as a puppy, is she a mixed breed, a rescue, how long has she been with you, and finally how old is she? Oh, as i see her aging how much longer will she be able to go on your adventures, especially on the winter ones? Oh dear another question-do you put flea/tick meds on her regularly? We live in the suburbs in a small city and my four dogs need their meds every 30 days and we never go in the country or we will be overcome with those pesky fleas. Nice trip. The head of the Mississippi reminds me of my neck of the woods where we have the head of the Hudson River at Henderson lake in the Adirondacks. Of course Hudson River is only 400 miles to New York City harbor.
