An old Auntie quoted a family truism - "The hurrier I go , The behinder I get!" SO true ! I enjoy watching your project builds , especially since doing it myself is no longer an option ... Stay safe , well and creative !
Great job Ryan. I love repurposing old stuff and making new stuff out of it whenever I can. And I like watching other like-minded people who do it also. I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.
Boy, a lot of work went into that. Good job. I like bartering, too. I would cut those straps way down so they're not slapping all over when you're driving down the road.
This one is a cute little build. Using the straps on the vent is a great idea. On mine i rebuilt i had rust proofing on the underside and spray foam in the wheel well in side. The mistake i made was putting in a diesel heater. It kept it warm but the clicking all night long drives me nuts.
Thanks !! LOL I put one in my other camper , honestly I kind of enjoy the fuel pump noise . I did mount the pump outside under the camper so its not very loud
Whipple’s Home for Wayward Trailers😂 darned ingenious, really. How much does this scale out to post-build? So long as the tires and wheel bearings/hubs can take it, this one’s even better for quick getaways.
A very cute looking camper and you did a great job on the roofing. I did find some issues with it though: 1. You left rust on wheel wells and frame. That will eat through the paint eventually. 2. All metal parts should have been sandblasted for rust and etched with phosphoric acid, then primer, then paint, then rustproofing. Using a wire cup brush is not enough. 3. Plywood left unpainted, untreated for flooring structure where every bit of rain, mud, slurry, moisture is going to hit it? While plywood is structurally solid it is not moisture proof and very susceptible to moisture on those open end grain sides. I would have sealed it over and over again. This is the most vulnerable to damage. You left it untreated completely. 4. You cannot rush a project to make a Utube video. You did not list the measurements on paper or CAD which led to the big mistake at 9:26. You have to think ahead like a chess game. Measurements of course, are the biggest pain. You started building without any sketch of this thing. Always a mistake as I have learned myself. It ends up as a redo. The great thing about a CAD type drawing is you can tweak it for the next build and save time on drawings. Nice camper. Please spend a little more time at the end showing the finished product. You spent 44 mins on build, 1 min on showing it. Just show details inside and out and full view different angles. That would have been nice.
I like it! And I agree with the trading skills and bartering the old ways just made more sense
Thanks !! it really does work nice

I bought the windows from an RV surplus store and the door online
