Son, I remember back in 1979 my newly minted wife and I went tent camping in Beaver Dam SP in southern Illinois. That was our only time of camping together. I don't recall taking our daughters camping. But, our son-in-law and grandson have camped all over Illinois and southern Missouri. In fact now that I am 70, I just bought the grandboy some new camping stuff and I bought his little sister a little two person tent of her own so she can go camping too.⛺🔥
As a senior with 50 years of marriage behind me, I will say it is so heart warming to see you two so dedicated to each other. I very much enjoyed watching❤️😘🙏🏻❤️

My husband and I did a lot of camping when we were much younger, but we almost always used a tent and slept on the queen sized mattress we borrowed from our sofa. We had the same interests which is very important in a good marriage. So Happy you and Riley are the same way!!! Olivia will 99.99%, follow suit in the same interests! @@alancoe1002 I WILL. WE USED TO CAMP BY RIVERS, LAKES, AND ALSO IN THE EARLY 70'S BACKPACK INTO THE NATIONAL PARK FOR A FEW DAYS IN THE DEAD OF WINTER IN THE LINVILLE GORGE WILDERNESS AREA OF NC. WE WERE CRAZY BACK THEN! LOL! I GET COLD THINKING ABOUT THAT NOW! LOL! ONCE, IN THE EARLY 80'S, WHILE STAYING AT A CABIN THAT I PARTIALLY STILL OWN, WE ENCOUNTERED A ONCE CONVICTED MURDERER BEING PURSUED BY THE LAW FOR RAPE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, THAT FINALLY MADE A MOVE ON US ABOUT 4AM AND MY WIFE FIRED A SHOT AT HIM AFTER HE CUT 2 TIRES ON A FRIENDS JEEP TO TRY KEEP US FROM GETTING AWAY AND HE FLED AND IT TOOK THE SBI 3 MONTHS TO FINALLY CATCH HIM. ABOUT A YEAR LATER HE BLEW HIS FRIENDS HEAD OFF WITH A SHOTGUN AND WAS PUT ON DEATH ROW WHERE HE DIED BEFORE BEING EXECUTED. WE HAD VERY YOUNG CHILDREN WITH US AT THAT TIME. THE EARLIER YEARS WERE ALL PEACEFUL. THE BIGGEST DANGERS ARE NOT ANIMALS, BUT HUMAN BEINGS. WE DON'T CAMP ANYMORE, BUT WE BOTH LEGALLY CARRY AT ALL TIMES IN TODAY'S USA REGARDLESS OF WHERE WE GO. IF WE WERE PHYSICALLY ABLE, WE WOULD BE BACK IN THE WOODS STILL TODAY AS WE MISS IT.
I wish I could also have some private space with my wife to go camping like you two. I was quite surprised by that car. It seems like you two slept very well.

What a great adventure! Reminds me of many happy days camping when I was younger. Now I'm 68 and perhaps a bit old for it. You can't beat the outdoors for getting some good life experiences. Super that your wife accompanied you. Miss your lovely dog.

Great video! It's always fun to push yourself to get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. The ebikes are great. I had an issue with the truck that I didn't have time to fix. I brought it to the mechanic this morning and rode the ebike to work from the shop. I made 5 miles in no time, and it was fun rippin around town. See ya again next week.

Oh and love that you got out on the e-bike! I love to find excuses to take ours out around town too. They’re definitely a blast. I saw a conversion online where someone put like a snowmobile track on the back of one and a ski on the front…could be a fun idea for the snow. (If we ever get any 😅)

First thought, 15 grown grandkids and several grown great grandkids, all outdoor enthusiasts, love those bikes! Send this to everyone of them. Thank you. Secondly, done this with a canvas tarp in winter in the Poconos, always loved it, but having raised all boys, Hon, listen to me, this girl totally loves you, don't ever take that for granted, she's taking what you love and making it hers. Glad you and rarely got to try out the bike cabin together even though it was a little tightr. I like the folding bike it's very convenient . There is something being out in the wilderness that's fun sleeping where you can hear nature.

I saw your post about Ellie. Heartbreaking. I will say a prayer for her and for your family. I understand how much dogs are family members. We have a 9 yr. Old dog and a 10 year old dog. They don’t live as long as we do, but it is still worth having them in our lives. ❤
