      It is very good that you ask the topics of interest to us for training. I want to offer you a different format. Often we are faced with constructions that disorientate us. For example, when we meet WOULD, SHOULD, HAVE, BEEN. We understand that these words are often components of complex structures. Therefore, when we see them together or one by one, we immediately experience difficulty. Therefore, make lessons where you tell about all the cases, where and when we can meet these words. Separately about each word! Even if they are used in those constructions that you talked about in relation to another of these words.

      @@ArnelsEverydayEnglish We are beyond blessed to have you Arnel! Never will we stop thanking you! Also, the difference between 'to do' and 'to have done' like 'happy to receive a gift' and 'happy to have received a gift'. That's something that confuses me so bad!

    • @mj_padayao
      @mj_padayao Год назад

      @@HxTurtle I just gave an example of TO BE and TO HAVE BEEN being used in a sentence but for your information, the example I made is not particularly wrong either. 'The trash is to be thrown away' is the formal term for 'the trash is going to be thrown away'. If you don't believe it, you can watch that lesson in one of Arnel's uploaded videos. Just search for be + to + bare infinitive. And you're wrong when you said that it was still the same because they are literally not. Grasp this example for you to further spot my point - 'I feel so happy to see you dancing on the stage.' and 'I feel so happy to have seen you dancing on the stage.' Not the thing you're pointing out, right? I hope you finally got my point.

    Sentences of the type around 18:00-18:30 can be paraphrased by "if it is the case that xxx, then I say yyy", e.g. "if it's the case that you liked it, then my question is: why didn't you buy it?". The main clause is expressed on condition that the if-clause obtains. If it doesn't obtain, expressing the main clause is irrelevant.
    Another example of this type is "if you are thirsty, there's coke in the fridge". The coke is there regardless of whether people are thirsty or not, but 'if' is used to signal "I'm telling you that there's coke in case you are thirsty. If you aren't, you can ignore the main clause, because then it's not relevant to you."
    So such sentences can be seen as conditional, but the condition is on a different level than the other types in this video.
    Just a way of seeing these apparently non-conditional if-clauses, please let me know what you think.

    Your brilliant channel has reinforced my belief in predestination. Unfortunately, your luck is not in your favour. You should have at least more than one billion subscribers, given how well you teach and the effort you have put into making it such an amazing English-teaching channel. If I were to make a RUclips channel, I would imitate your impeccable teaching style and linguistic intelligence. You are an outstanding English teacher with a brilliant mind! If it weren't for you, many students wouldn't learn about the complexity of mixed conditionals. 😊

      @@ArnelsEverydayEnglish The appreciation is truly well deserved! The ratings of your channel prove the philosophy of "theological determinism". Could you please tell me how long it takes to make one such video like yours with all the graphical work that goes into its making? After going through your channel, you seem to be a natural psychologist, so to speak.
