As a 41 year resident of Yuma I enjoyed your history of my town. On a side note it would have been a more historic presentation if the pictures were regional. Mos to the pictures used are nothing like reality. Incidentally, Yuma County agriculture produces nearly 90% of all the leafy green vegetables grown in the US during the winter months. Plus, Yuma is the sunniest city in the world. Google it.
Professional Arizonian here, loved the video but it’s almost entirely comprised of drawings. Incidentally, Arizona is actually real and not just paint. Google it.
My Great-grandfather, Theodore H. Harris discovered silver in Globe, Az in 1876. In 1913 he mentioned 8 people who grew rich because of it but only he and another person "died with their boots on". One was a man who ferried the silver at the crossing to California. Another man he gave a claim to was named Sweeney who died in a gun fight in Tombstone, maybe a relative of Lt. Sweeney, maybe his son. Such a possibility isn't rare because until recent times there wasn't many Americans in the Territory. I found my great-grandfather knowing several more famous people in Arizona such as the Earps, part of the Clanton gang and others. Yuma Prison wasn't a hell hole because they executed anyone but because there was no chance of escape. The Yuma tribe hated the Whites and the prison warden wasn't particular how beat up the escapees were when the tribe collected the reward money. What is lush fields along the Gila today was miles of unforgiving desert back then. They also couldn't go to Mexico where the Mexicans hated the Americans as much as the Yuma tribe did.
Very interesting!😊
Thank you. Hope your well

Wow. Thanks for information
The bigger question is....where did Glanton bury his wealth? Some say it was worth $60-70k in the mid 1850's.
Interesting. Thanks for unput
