I have the 2021 E53 coupe and have one complaint, the way it takes bumps. Noisy and a little too firm. There should be a softer street setting for comfort driving. Would also love another 100HP
I've got one of these on order with a June build. Any word on production problems due to the chip shortage, or whether or not they are limiting options for cars directly ordered from the factory?
Awesome to hear you have one on order! I heard a few days ago from Mercedes Benz to expect a large shortage of vehicles due to the chip. From what I understand, they will be holding vehicles after production until they can install the chip. It is unclear if all vehicles are affected or just particular models. Thanks for commenting!
@@automotiveguru Thanks for the quick reply. I just read that they had suspended the E class line for a couple weeks in May, and were giving preference to the S class and EQS. Really hope this doesn't mess up my order. Appreciate all your videos, they are tiding me over until my car arrives.
any update on your build? i ordered a GLE53 coupe in April supposed, my production date is aug 2nd and due for delivery in september but worried abt being delayed. your build get delayed at all?
@@AJ-sj7qx Hey AJ, yes. I called my guy towards the end of May and was told my build was affected by the chip shortage. However I was updated in the beginning of this month that my build date was 7/14. It's actually scheduled to be completed tomorrow. It's very likely though that my car will arrive without all MBUX system operational, and that I'll have to sign something that states I accept it's current condition. Once they get more chips the dealership will notify me an do the final install themselves.

I got one brand new 2021 E53 sedan, judging from the video did you also experience a lot of interior noises/rattles during rougher roads? because when I drove my car the noise is very noticeable.
I have mine since october last year. With pretty much the same equipment. Super car, absolutely satisfied, you can cruise pretty relaxed but also be very sporty on the road. Too bad you have not changed it to Sportplus, I wonder how it feels on video. Keep up the Good work!

I have a 2020 E53 with plenty of rattles coming from the back passenger side
