Mercedes sucks. As a previous owner of a 2023 GLC, the navigation and infotainment tech is pretty dumb. I got the new BMW X5 and the infotainment lets me put carplay on whatever screen i choose. Sheer driving pleasure. Mercedes was a lil more comfy. But BMW is holistically a better drive

That’s just a speaker cover which I have installed on my car too just for the LED lights. I have also upgraded the speaker inside it which is 100x better then the shitty burmester and cost much, much less.

Does it not work for the newer iphone models that have the usb C port? I have a usb to usb-C and nothing comes up when i plug it in

I have owned 14 MB cars in the last 37 yr with the most recent being a pristine ultra low mileage GLA250 4Matic so it is a significant learning curve given I have tending recently to go back to more classic cars. The Hey Mercedes feature has some value but in a really practical application it sucks. I am of course referring to the fact it can open and close tge roof and shade, adjust seats etc and even give you stock quotes but you cannot enter a destination into the Nav using it or voice commands. We are still manually entering the data manually as we did on my first 300E back in 1987! By comparison, I have a Garmin Drivesmart 50 in one of my non-MB cars and I can say enter destination then say city, number and street or say Costco or hospital and up pops the same choice list NAV NTG 6 pops up! So much of this system is frivolous. 95% of drivers will never know all there is available let alone use most of it. To me this stuff is there more because they can than because it brings real value. The irony is you can play with this stuff all day driving down the road and be totally distracted but don’t you dare touch your phone.

I have a question do you know how to get rid of currently unavailable. The dealers saying I need a new Mercedes-Benz cap from my 2020 GLE 350. He wants me to upgrade to the one that has a heater. he says the cap gets foggy without the heater

I'm renting one of these, and didn't think it would be so difficult to figure out. The rental one doesn't have the buttons to return the middle seat to it's position, but I was able to figure that one out, at least.
