I did a couple of things different. firstly to seal the corrugations i used expanda foam, which was way quicker than the method you used. after a couple of times I learnt how much to allow for the expansion and it's easily trimmed with a stanley knife if needed. second, I didnt use any etch or thinners with the pavement paint. just swept and tidied the floor, then rolled the paint on.mine's been down eight year now and no flaking or lifting, even using trolley jacks, engine hoists with steel wheels etc. your shed looks great btw and like yourself, went too low with the 2.4m walls. my next shed will definately get the 2.7m walls so I can get my Navara inside.
Looks so easy in time lapse lol, I’ve had several sheds over the years, your sealing will last heaps longer than the foam slide ins that rats love to eat, great work 👌
Great video mate, nice shed! I just went thru the same thing, doing a shed install. 9x6m 3m walls, must admit you were very keen to sikaflex the gaps, wow what a job! i ended up going vermaseal, an angle colorbond product that run around the edge of the slab, worked a treat... thanks for your video insight into the painting, i'm at that stage now.
Good value for money with the Best sheds kit. Yeah this was my first video and I realize the heavier stuff is not for everyone. Was a Mates band but have mellowed down the music in the videos from now on.
I loved the music. The same can’t be said about best sheds. I’d prefer to use the thicker colourbond sheets and have smaller portals with them cast into the concrete. Just a few small things that make a big difference in the end. But if your happy, then that’s all that matters.
Have just built a similar shed 7x15 and the cladding is 5-rib zincalume, they supplied a 'vermin' strip for the bottom which tucked under the bottom of the sheet and went at right angles over the bottom of the sheet and a 10mm down-turn as a drip-edge. Saved having so seal it and added waterproofness. Mine is a pole shed - look under Hope_DIY for the timelapse and doesn't look as smart as your steel framing. But it's functional!
Is this stuff better than the Berger Jet Dry and White Knight concrete paints sold at Bunnings? Covercrete and epoxy are too expensive for me but this surface looks great and hard wearing for a patio, which is what I am looking to resurface. I'm hoping that Pavecoat is the perfect solution it looks like it is.
Nice slab, don't get why so many people don't set stirrups into the concrete at pour time, beats the heck out of slaving over a drill later on, you just bolt up the verticals and stand them up.
Me too, looking forward to getting thru the workshop vids. Looked for how to build a shed, found a lot more. Great tips on building the shed in your next vid, I will make sure I have the budget sorted for all those extra pointers & must haves. Cheers Jeff

Good job mate. Just finished building mine the same size. I'm glad I insulated now as I don't have to silicone around the bottom.
Thanks Mate. Yes I regret not insulating it but I might do the roof

Cheers Mate. The Sikaflex is still holding up nice. I thought about the foam but glad I did not use it.

Haha yeah the sikaflex took ages and prob would not do again. It should last a long time but.
Great video, looking at building a double charge through Best sheds. The music was a bit too much for me though

Such a good shed! Inspo for mine in the next few months.
Its a good size for building a car. Could always be bigger though...

Cool vid
How's the shed holding up? Have read some horror stories on Best Sheds scares us buying one of their sheds. Thanks
Who built the garage
Were you able to get the silicone in those corners behind where the posts are? Or did you have to get access from outside?
Nice slab, don't get why so many people don't set stirrups into the concrete at pour time, beats the heck out of slaving over a drill later on, you just bolt up the verticals and stand them up.
I thought we were going to see a shed construction video. Why didn't you timelapse the most important part of the construction ??
I could not film it as I was away for work while the shed was getting built.
Nice shed, I'm looking at vermin proofing my shed soon. How many gaps do you reckon one tube does? Cheers.
Nice work shop brother
Thanks Mate
How is the pavecoat holding up mate ? Is it the petrol resistant stuff ? I'm looking at coating my shed floor cheers
Hey mate I made an exact video on how everything is holding up after 2 years. It should be within my last 10 recent videos.
@@ShenkeGarage cheers mate I'll gave a look 👍
Great vid - Do you remember how many sausages of Silkaflex were needed for the gap coverage?
It was a fair bit. I would say maybe 8 - 10. Its kinda costly but it ends up sealing really good and should last a long time.
Nice vid, after slab was poured how long did you wait to paint?
How has the concrete paint held up so far?
Not that great to be honest but I dont think I applied it right. Im going to make a video soon on how everything is holding up after 1 year
@@ShenkeGarage that would be cool to see. Thanks for the great content. Cheers
@@ShenkeGarage I too would like to know. Got a big shed project coming up myself :D

Have you looked at the Vermaseal products? Would have saved you from sikaflexing the whole perimeter.
I got given a heap of sickaflex so it just took the time to lay it on. I think the sickaflex will hold up for a long time.
how much did it cost?
Hey Mate I made a cost breakdown in one of my videos. just look through my videos
What did it cost for the concrete sealer?
Can't really remember off the top of my head. Might of been around 300 to do everything.
Fkn music
Good video terrible music.
Sorry that the video author didn’t consult you about your music tastes, prior to publishing the video 😂
