@@josephthemilitarycoach I have a few questions for you. the first one is I have a bunch of friends who serve in the USA Army. my question is I actually went to take my Asbav Practice Test a few weeks ago score a 70. and I have also recently a few weeks ago went to my own Primary Doctor and she did all the Physical Test on me. I came out great. so I submitted all my paper work to my Recruiter. I also went to my Dentist and came out good no cavities healthy. I do wear Glasses which I could see perfectly. but when I take them off I could see abit but not when I wear my Glasses. my friends who serve in the Army they tell me just relax they seen worst people go through MEPS with glasses and they pass. they actually said that I may need a Medical Waiver. my second question is. if I decide to take the PICAT test will I still have to take another test in MEPS? and will all the Medical Paper work I gave my Recruiter will that help me? my Recruiter tells me just relax that I'm doing great. and my friends tell me the same. they actually say that's a great start that I submitted all my medical records.

I already went to meps but didn’t swear in because the school I went to the Marine Corps has this new tier system where if you go to a tier 2 (charter or private school ) you have to have your HS Diploma in hand, well my recruiters had no idea about this. So I was sent home after I was asvab and med qualified. Now I have my HS Diploma and I am going back to MEPS. But between the time I went before and now had an ATV accident and had a concussion, skull fracture, and a nice scar my forehead. My recruiters told me there is no way to hide that scar. So I have to go down the med packet route. Luckily I have no permanent trauma or condition from this, and also my skull fracture healed naturally meaning no surgery required. I submitted my hospital records day of the accident and a follow up from my primary care doctor who said I am fit for everyday activity and there is nothing wrong with me. Waiting for MEPS to comeback with their verdict. Recruiter told me it will either be he's good " or "need more paperwork” I don't see why they would need more. The hospital never asked for follow up care because it would heal on it's own. I have no light ty, no headaches. Nothing, just a slight crack of my head and my first concussion in the 19 years I have lived here. I am very confident because my only dream since I was 6 years old was to become a United States Marine. I’ll keep you updated. Semper Fi

Now im doing great better then ever i love myself. But im so worried my past will back fire me and ruin my goals to join the air force. You need to get in contact with the doctor that prescribed them and be able to get a letter clarifying that you do not need the medication and that you are stable without them. Otherwise they will pull it up at MEPs and possibly permanently disqualify you, if not they will have you talk to a Military Psychiatrist and they will decide whether or not to give you a medical waiver.

Did u cut your hair before Meps?

@@yudahel8521 My waiver didn’t go through, so I’ve been getting laser tattoo removal for my hand. (5-8 sessions) I’m about to start my 4th session. It’s every 4-6 weeks. So I get it every month on a set date I wait 4 weeks. Sometimes 5. But I have everything as far as meps, done.
I didn’t cut my hair yet, I’ll cut them 2 weeks before I leave.
Fyi: meps is ALL DAY. You wake up at the hotel at 5am.. get on the bus, head to meps, and from about 5:30am you there… I didn’t get home until 7pm.. but about 3-4 of those hours was at the end. They got a waiting room with a tv and ps4 and board games and stuff. I played the ps4 for about 2 hours and took a 1 or 2 hour nap. But most of that time is strictly business. And I mean.. strictly..business. No joking around. Barely talking to others. I’ve only spoke to people a few times, like when the officers and office people weren’t around. The moment they come around every knew it talking time was over, also if you are gonna talk You gotta whisper. Don’t be loud at all. At any time. Your there to get in, not make friends.

If you have all your documents then no need to worry . However if you don’t want the hassle depending on how bad the diagnosis just fail to mention it. However I always recommend that you tell the truth. The choice is always yours at the end of the day
