Just posting for the new ones finding this video, even if you get disqualified you can get waivers, for me I had 167 pages worth of documentation being a military brat so they had everything now it took two months to get approved finally to swear in because of that so don't give up if they dq at meps.
Hey bro I have a few dings I have taken prescriptions for pain killer I applied for the army and I put no in all questions I may have messed up due to Meps process any feedback
Honestly bro, if it’s not in the system just lie to them cuz they gonna try to extend you wait time as long as possible but since medical things are usually in the system just tell them the truth cuz if you get caught lying your grits.
Same here I forgot that I was proscribed something similar to adderal when I was 11 or 12 that said it’s been long past then and I don’t need it to function by any means, I’m 21 now and just nervous they won’t accept me. Any thoughts?
I get to go to meps next week I finally peed clean of thc. I’m taking the test at my recruiter station and see what mos I qualify for and where I get to go I’m excited to start this journey
Make sure to drink fluids before you go so you’re able to piss. I learned the hard way when I pissed before I left the hotel and didn’t drink anything till it was my turn😂
Heading to Meps in two days very nervous I’ll let you guys know how it goes and I’ll probably make a video on my acc on my experience this video helped me Loki
You should be prepared if you have a history of any medical condition or have taken any meds. A good recruiter will prepare for those contingencies and how to apply for waivers with thr best chances of success.
Appreciate all the info man and thank you for your service. I do have 2 questions if you could answer it would be greatly appreciated. 1 is i had cancer about 13 years ago and was wondering if you knew how they will react to that? In currently waiting to hear back from a recruiter. And 2 is i have slightly unsteady hands, may be due to poor habits and diet that im trying to work on now, but if its something im unable to fix have you met anyone that had a similar issue that was still able to serve, or is that a big no go? Thanks again
Your best bet is a recruiter for the cancer, my general understanding is as long its in total remission its good to go, as far as the hands it depends on whats documented on them chalk it up to nerves if anything. This is the Disqualifying Manual that MEPS uses to find medical issues unfit for service DOD INSTRUCTION 6130.03, VOLUME 1 MEDICAL STANDARDS FOR MILITARY SERVICE: APPOINTMENT, ENLISTMENT, OR INDUCTION . Obviously a waiver will be branch specific I know for the navy it's a little bit laxed right now. Best of luck in your journey.
Tbh bro, they’re really picky on who they let in rn and the fact that you had cancer before might make them turn you down but if you really want to do it keep trying
Thanks for the video. When they do the physical exam at meps do they just look at your body or do they touch head to toe in order to inspect your body? I heard they only hold the sac and make you cough. is that all? Not even trying to be funny, seriously curious. Thanks in advance
Planning on making that first appointment to see a recruiter next year. I was born with no sense of smell. No brain injuries and never been diagnosed with anything. Just can't smell. Will this be an issue?
I need to know what I can and can't bring bc I don't want to have to get rid of any of my belongings. The only thing I wanted to take were my boxing gloves/shoes bc my ssg told me they have a work out gymnast the hotel and I wanted to know if they have a punching bag or anything of that nature. If they don't I don't wanna have to get rid of anything or bring then for no reason
My visit at meps was easy, nothing crazy happen. Once I was one on one with the door he asked me 125 questions, two questions about my previous visit, and then we did everything else. After 10 minutes he said you passed….
@@jessGame2 I think it’s called genesis. Will they find everything you don’t mention (physical/mental health history) or just say no and you should be good?
@@Himskii339 I would just tell your recruiter everything when y’all start doin the medical paperwork. Only because they can start working on getting you waivers as soon as possible. If MEPS find something that you didn’t tell your recruiter, they can just disqualify you instantly. But it’s definitely up to you though

After taking the PICAT you have to take a verified test. Fortunately for me I finished early and my recruiter took me to Camp Mabry as a walk in to take the verified CAT-ASVAB. My recruiter told me that the verified test takes 30 questions from the PICAT you take there at the recruiters office.
@@chickensauce85 i just spoke with my marine recruiter. the worst that can happen is you can’t join. might as well try right? if they say no u can most likely get it wavered
@ethanrosejr4245 Yes, they do for me at least. If you've ever had. Broken arm or asthma ever they can see that. Since they do a full body examination, they can see all your scars. So if you can go to the doctor and get all of those examined before then. GET A DOCTORS NOTE, saying that they don't see why you shouldn't join and everything is fine. Also, tell your recruiter everything. He/she can hell you. When you get to the medical part at meps, don't lie, but don't tell them any new info. Like say yes or no, and don't add anything.
