You're very welcome @kevinsay2492! If you're interested I have a FREE Blues Guide PDF & video available at my website www.song-bike.com. And I do a RUclips guitar Q&A livestream Saturdays at 5pm ET - check it out ! (on my RUclips channel I have a playlist of dozens of past livestreams.)
I’d really like to compliment you on the excellent quality of your lessons. They’re clear, precise, and accurate, and they challenge you to achieve a hierarchy of skills. For example, in this lesson, after you give a historical context for the song (which I thoroughly enjoyed), you demonstrate the approximate Bob Dylan strumming technique. After that, you methodically teach the arpeggios of the song’s chords. All of these skills lead to The Animals’ version of the song with arpeggios which are lightly and quickly brushed on the downstroke and then firmly picked on the upstroke. These three examples help aspiring guitar players across a spectrum of skills: from the strummer up to the highly adept player who can incorporate the subtle, authentic Animals’ rendition in their playing. A great lesson and excellent teaching! Thank you

You are awesome. Just picked up a guitar for the first time 3 weeks ago at age 53. Knowing nothing about music has made it tough but after watching a few of your videos I see light at the end of the tunnel ! Thank you
You're welcome, Roberta ! Enjoy the journey you're on ! Please subscribe - I'm hoping to reach 100k subscribers ! And check out my website: www.song-bike.com
This is an excellent demonstration in picking. I have struggled to get to the tempo of the Animals version & this picking pattern makes it easier. It is my all time favourite too. Many thanks
Nice lesson! Also loved some of the history that you talked about. Agreed, one studio take for a song like that is pretty amazing indeed..........Keep the lessons coming.....Thanks
Nice, I love TV yellow? and black. or is that considered a butterscotch? It just makes it look like a era gone by. I don't see that many yellow guitars these days. And the tele probably wore the color better than any other guitar out there.
You know what Bill Kirchen " Mr Hot Rod Lincoln " did to his teles. He flipped the control plate around so the knobs were in the front, then he changed the tone and volume pot positions so he could make the sounds of horns and stuff by doing volume swells while he played. Really neat trick if you are doing that kind of performing.
Thanks for watching, Larry! That's a good question ! Please subscribe - I'm hoping to reach 100k subscribers ! And check out my website: www.song-bike.com

Love the lessons - they're really helping me BUT I just don't understand why you have the strings on the screen showing notes and tabs upside down !! Skinny string is at the bottom on all guitars but at the top on your charts Why ? Cheers John UK
Thanks for watching, John! That's just how TAB is - I know it seems counter-intuitive. Please subscribe - I'm hoping to reach 100k subscribers ! And check out my website: www.song-bike.com
You've been on fire lately, one of the first songs I learned on guitar (over 30 years ago) and still one of my go to tracks to test out a new guitar or just to noodle. If you want to learn theory this has it all and it's still open to interpretation and embellishments with really simple jazz chords (A sus 2, C add 9, D Maj 7 etc) thrown in now and then just for seasoning. In my opinion, one song people shouldn't be afraid to experiment with and make their own, even the lyrics are fair game. Also to add to your list of versions (for peoples enjoyment and inspiration) may I add this by Nina Simone ruclips.net/video/aCuu5fOEB3Y/видео.html.
The clearest easiest instruction I’ve found on RUclips. Best step by step and up close. Thank you! New subscriber
