Aubrey Hodges is surprisingly good at setting the tone for a creepy and foreboding atmosphere, but E1M1 is supposed to make you feel like a badass heavy metal super soldier, not woefully unprepared.

Playstation version was my first Doom experience (yeah, I know) And honestly gave the game a much more horrifying, hopeless feeling. It kind of clashes with the humor of the game, like the difficulty setting names and the messages when you pick up certain weapons....that said? Still quite nice music! It just ain't DOOM music.
