Doom E1M1 music on different ISA soundcards

Doom main menu and E1M1 music played on several different ISA sound cards (which I happen to own).

I happened to own a gravis ultrasound card. It was a really good card, tho how good it sounded depended on the instrument packet you had.

Man that soundscape is really something else. I had seen a few videos before but this one seems to showcase it well enough to not use it's emulation for like anything. I usually like trash but it's terrible. Lol

I originally thought soundscape's adlib emulation was very interesting, but after making those videos...yeah, it's pretty terrible

so cool. makes me wanna take one of these PCs and load em up with newer doom community wads just to hear what modern music (shout-out to all the awesome doom community musicians) sounds like on these old cards

You'd have to ensure that it's vanilla friendly. Dos Doom does not handle pcm music in it's wad file I think.

The clarity on the dream blaster. Sometimes i think even on GZdoom the music doesnt sound as good as from actual soundcards.
