Not gonne lie I'm a little hard right now.
Excuse me😳

Got hard because of the GTR.💀
you’re all of us rn
real
One of the best cars to drive in any conditions. Very well researched and developed. Reliable and durable. I am praying Nissan doesn't off it or do some electric baloney. That is NOT what this car is about! Let the GTR live on and evolve forever!
I am so jealous, thanks for the vid man
insane lauch on that thing
well, I guess we can see where (all) Nissan's R&D money was spent; you'd think it would be better. It should have gone into the new Z, but didn't. Why aren't more GT-R technologies present in other Nissan offerings? All of their cars need a NISMO version, yet only the Z and GT-R get the privilege...why?
the passenger guy was there just to say watch for curbs
💀😭
That’s a true friend lol

You’re gonna be the next topher, Topher 😅
no shot they're not the same person

@War_criminal_japanese Refinement is key
at least the interior is different @War_criminal_japanese
Today is the day I find out topher was driving the gtr I saw recently when I was driving to work. Mind is blown honestly
whaaaat! where'd you see me?
relax my guy it's a guy driving a car lol
@@timanders3151 you're a bundle of joy arent you
Lol, yeah he really knows what it’s like to “live with” a car for less than a week.
Bro no way, I swear I recently I saw a blue GTR on the road and told my buddy how sick those still are, and here posts substitute Topher driving it around in my hometown.
I remember when that car came out weighing what it weights and people bashing on it and now is just part of the normal wight of performance cars. Also people hated that it was too “digital”. Now is the most analog supercar you can get. I think Nissan was way ahead of time with the GT-R.
Wait, I forgot about this, Yeah! Nissan got this right too soon, imo.
Nissan wasn’t ahead of its time the way you think, it’s just a 15 years old car with some 15 years old tec’ like hydraulic power steering wich was common in 2009. Even about the weight, in 2009 a bmw m3 wasn’t AWD, turbo charged & as big as 2020 model.
Time changes, the GTR still the same.
But I agree it’s an amazing car.
The way the V6 engine starts up is so nostalgic ~~ the mechanical feel you get from that startup and just in general from the transmission shifting as well. It’s just more raw than most modern sports cars out there. Also 26 mpg on the highway is very impressive for this car 😯😯😯
the mechanical feel is what most cars are missing nowadays.
funny, GT-R when it came out was criticized as a "computer on 4 wheels" but nowadays it's considered the most raw out of most sports cars out there.
That handmade engine… too cool.
@@impreza0109yep, times have changed
I’d never get in that car it’s to dangerous so small n fragile I need a hellcat Durango
Is too bad you got to take on a second mortgage to get one.
I can't believe the car is 15 years old now, not only that it makes me feel old.
Old but gold
This care is maybe 3-4 years old.

GTR design is timeless
Even GTR R32 is still beautiful 🔥🔥🔥
Hearing that a BMW M2 weighs almost as much as a GT-R is just sad lmao.
This car needed a manual.
Yep. Auto sux
Kinda want a GTR 🫶
the most boring passenger ever
Good review and what a beautiful, beautiful masterpiece. Idc what people say about the design is old - the design is timeless and should continue on.
So many’s dream.(especially me) what you are living..having a supercar, living in USA 🇺🇸,Enjoying every moment of life,it’s Heaven man..
Does the gtr sound like this stock cause if it does I might say Fuck the bmw
don't wanna be that guy but this car isn't JDM by any stretch. It stands for Japanese Domestic Market and it implies the car can only be bought in Japan, and must be exported anywhere else. This R35 GTR is sold in the US and is US spec, so it's not a JDM.
So with that logic, I’m not Asian/Viet. Because I was made in America, so I’m no longer Vietnamese because I wasn’t made in Vietnam. Is that how this works?
It's a nice all-around car (daily + fun), but it's also 15 years old and the MSRP is 20k over what it should be if they had only increased it with inflation. And it's not like they're low enough used to pick them up for anything reasonable there.
For 120k I'd rather buy a Cayman GTS or a C8 Z06 or a 5th gen viper or something like that.
Was just old enough to experience all the rage when the GTR came out and here we are, it's been 15 years and it's the final run of GTR. Time flies by like crazy.
On my opinion this is the best car in the world just my opinion though
There’s just no way this car is 160k
I cant believe how much these cars cost brand new even used u can buy a decent house for that amount of money idc still want one
Its not JDM if the steering wheel is on the left side. Same goes for all the Honda drivers who think they're JDM bc they bought new rims for an Accord
Here in Canada your looking at 250k - 300k depending on spec.
Hell no...
It is very cool but the prices are hilarious now.
Bro FOR THAT PRICE I could put a Turbo in my Corvette for like 8k making 700 HP or twin turbos or a supercharger and still spend like 30k less than you and get a ton of Horsepower
This car has a TON of character - a quality that seems to be in short supply in today’s auto world.
It's funny, when this came out people were saying it felt sterile and "managed by computers" because at the time doing AWD in a sports car with advanced TC was considered "invasive" and unpure. Now we're pretty much all driving around in (performance) cars like this and i find vids celebrating the "character" of the same car. Growing old is funny.
Love the gtr but feel like it’s not worth the price anymore. These go for around 130-140 in my area.
Funny how futuristic this car was in 2009, but now it’s so dated. Now everything is too modern and it takes away the true character.
I miss the classic looks of interiors. I miss dials, switches and buttons.
Speaking of interiors, I think the original interior for this car looks far better than the refresh. Plus, I prefer the column-mounted paddles.
Changing a car every week doesn’t count as “living with” a car.
Still kicked the C8 ZO6's butt. People are saying that there are faster cars now, but it still wins a lot of races. 11.0 seconds in the 1/4 is fast enough isn't it?
2024 front end does not look as nice as this one
The interior was refreshed in 2017, so it's been the same for the last 7 years, not 15.
These will hold there value if u got the money buy one amd keep it
I respect that the gauge cluster isn't a screen.
Simpleton.
Looks way better
The gauge cluster looks like cheap trash.
Nissan needs to upgrade this crappy car.
@@doubleM1986 Except that the screen is actually cheaper, and will probably age worse.
25:25 Crikey, it's the Floridian rozzers!
Thank you for this insight! I have been very curious what it would be like to daily a GT-R 🏎
The automatic helps with drinking shakes and eating chic fil a while driving
There are countless ways to go fast. At the end of the day, it just comes down to your style and "fast, cheap, reliable...pick two". It's really not all that hard to make a RIDICULOUSLY fast car these days...even if that means it's going to be a project that you gotta work on all the time. What IS harder to do is to make a fast car that's ALSO comfortable...an actual "street car" and not just a race car with a license plate. This is why I bought a GT-R. It's an AMAZING, SUPER well known platform where the sky (and your wallet) is the limit, AND it's very capable of being INCREDIBLY fast AND civilized in a way many cars can't do. My car is full bolt on, flex fuel, with upgraded turbos...800hp to the wheels and you can cruise around in it without ever knowing it. The only thing that would tip you off with mine is that it's LOUD on the freeway. A valved exhaust would solve this but I've gotten used to it. Overall, the GT-R may be old, but it's still an AMAZING car...especially if you find a nice used one.
I've had all kinds of tires and have honestly never noticed or cared much about tire noise. Anyone else?
For years I was displeased with how old the "new" GT-R was, waiting patiently for an overhaul (same for my VR Q50), but as time's gone on, I now actively avoid new platforms, whether they be the 2-Series you mentioned or the TLX Type S. They're all too big, too heavy, and too numb. In large part I know this isn't some intentional effort by Nissan to be lighter and more "analog," but it is the result, so for new/newish cars, I find myself going to the Z/Q50/Q60/GT-R because it's older and therefore, apparently, more advanced, at least where driving dynamics are concerned.
0:34, had to double take, my man definately just said "Oni-san GTR" 😂
I have always liked the Skyline, but 123k for a Nissan is just insanity no matter how you slice it. That is the result of Nissan executives cashing in on the hype of the late 90s / early 2000s when we didn't have a US spec GT-R.
Its Godzilla people better let you in lmao 😂
Should’ve came to visit me in Miami bro 😎
People complaining about how dated this car is are going to be eating their words when we're all stuck driving around Tablets on Wheels in the next few years. I still remember when people were crying that this car had too many computers running the show.
Too much yap yap
Ironically this pops up on my feed… im going to own this car..grey tho..
Yeah at this price point its a little ridiculous it doesn't have bolster controls and blind spot monitors. My 2018 Kia Stinger GT2 has all of those as well as a 3.3l twin turbo, and it only cost about 50k.
Had the joy of having one for a week as a loaner. I had a baby then, and it worked fine. I’d say a tad more room than a G37 coupe, but beautiful. You can live with this thing easily. I shoved 4 people in mine but was crammed on the steering wheel, but I had to share my experience. Glad you got to drive this beauty.
Back in the day, I had many friends that had these with over 1000 hp. Miss those days.
1000 hp is trash. 10,0000 hp is way faster
What do they have now?
@@LP-bt4jk3500 hp highly tuned daily driven
I watch a few mins into a lot of these 1st person POV drive videos guys post. Just dreaming through them until i save up enough $$$😂
I saw you going up to palm beach lol, I was in the GLE53 on my way to Orlando
You didn't break the law nearly enough for a proper review of this car.
2017+ have the new interior which is better looking than the previous years. New console; larger display, no longer CD player, moved the start button. The console with different toggles looks great.
That and they keep tweaking the chassis and engine
I get the idea of keeping the car “raw”. But the fact that it’s stayed the same since 2009 but more than doubled in price is the real problem. What it used to go for was solid for how much car you got. At north of 120k before markups, I just don’t feel like a lot of the corners being cut are acceptable.
I grew up driving these roads often, love to see it. GTR is legendary
The interior is sick
we finna get gta 6 before a new gtr 😭
Gtr spanned across gt4,5 and now 6
Really love the interior and the sound of it. Still a car I like, just don't think about it anymore as opposed to back in the day. Still looks pretty timeless, honestly.
Same same. I love the car… but there are just so many quality cars on the road now, it’s hard to pay so much to somewhat feel like I went back in time …. I dig nostalgia without question. But not at the price point personally
@@amac8487 I don't have money so I would never consider getting anything, really, but yeah the price is a bit rough. Maybe like 80k would be nicer
Bros just knocking out side quests in a Bayside blue GTR😂
Better protect this Japanese beaut since it’s on public roads. Take care of this car! I’ve seen loads of accidents here on RUclips and even irl on the streets as a driver and pedestrian over the years, especially with these sports cars. Drive responsibly. 🙏😎👌💯
Ha! I saw you guys when you were going to Starbucks! I was on my way to Porsche West Palm beach to sign the paperwork on a new 911. Don't see too many bright blue GT-Rs in WPB nowadays.
Some people buy GTR and some people BTC. Which one you are and why?
Love your vids man
Your normal highway cruising and my highway cruising are vastly different.. 6spd manual wrx built block etc, ludacris speed mode. Of course I drive offensively..
2009 ancient, he likes the rock n roll aspect... dude be speakin like he drivin a carriage... u got them horses up in that garage?
Does your GS400 know that you’re cheating on them?
It is much quieter than my Infiniti Q50S V6 NA VQ35HR, lack some fire
25mpg? jeez. my audi TT gets approx 600 to the tank at 50litres. 147mph, 0-60 in 7 ish secs. I'll keep my diesel TT. Cheers!
I live in Brazil, ITS a dreams car, but here it's almost Impossible to have this car, so expensive, but ITS a really awesome car, congrats
GTR came out in 2007 but came to the States in 2009 and for correction to the people who keep saying the GTR is 15 years old it's actually 17 years old
Not sure what your concern about Nissan's are? Overall they're a fairly reliable manufacturer. Now if it was a BMW, I would understand your concern.
I agree with you 110% about Tesla's they may be fast but they are very boring. No sound and they dont look that great either!
Agreed on your takes. nissans are charming in their no-changes way
110k for this car? id rather get the cls63 v8 mercedes for 30k and save the other 80k.....same horsepower and mercedes is way smoother and much more comfort compared to the gtr...plus the v8 would smoke this gtr any day

as much as I love the R35 GT-R, the stock wheels are terrible.. in design I should add, i'm sure the quality and durability is fine
I love this car
Too bad these are chic Trans only. A complete mistake. That's why i own a built mk4 supra instead.
Love my nissan altima! Looks great.
nissan garbage
I love the GTR. But I hear the word adequate and decent too much. A vehicle that costs that much should be a luxury vehicle with the latest tech and comfort.
Still a beautiful vehicle though.
Old, but pretty sexy
I don’t care that it’s a 15 year old design. I wish I could afford it. It’s just an awesome Japanese car.
Heck no hood struts are just another part of the car to eventually need repaired. If it has an old school prop rod its a real car. That being said its pretty unbelievable they never stuck a standard transmission in this thing...
What setup do you use to record your pov? Love the vids bro
Thanks! I record on a GoPro Hero 11
How bout that maintenance
Ehh ehh
8k tires
A transmission rebuild 15k intervals
Wow you literally stay right by me I could tell by the road and lake at 11 seconds lol
What does it mean to be an "honest intake manifold" after pointing out the overt cosmetics to present it's self in a greater way than it actually is? I would love to know the metric where this was determined.
