I LOVE the Real Bargains stories!! ❤️ It's always amazing what people find. I've started buying vintage lots with missing stones on Goodwill so I can restore what I can (and I've learned I really enjoy it!). So many of these older costume jewelry pieces just need a little TLC, and they can be cherished in collections for years to come.
Soooo true I’m from NZ and all I watch is Dr Lori now!!! As for haters they ain’t greater🤣🤣 they need a grater like cheese does...... I love binge watching👍👍👍👍 so do my children it’s educating better than watching kids play on PlayStation or Xbox!!!!😇
Real Bargain segments are my favorite. I like all of Dr Lori's live videos too, but Real Bargains, and the PTL "What's it worth" videos are the segments where I learn the most.
Dr. Lori says...a lot so listen & learn. An apple a day keeps the doctor away but Dr. Lori’s the best, always here for us & I’m so thankful for her sharing her knowledge w/ everyone!
I learn so much from real stories like these. Dr. Lori you are an inspirational speaker. When you speak we all stop and listen and learn. Thank you for your true generosity.
@Dr Lori. It's very nice that you do video calls, and that you share your expertise on your channel but I sure do miss seeing you do the evaluations at in person appraisal shows. Boy times have surely changed. Thank you for all that you do.❤️
I always had good luck buying lots of jewelry from police auctions. They would always be some silver and gold in the lots. It was fun, but they don't do these auctions any more. I think they do the auction s on line now. The goodwill jars are more expensive than anything I ever got from police auctions and the pickings in them are slim. $70+ for a jar seems steep when there is a lot of plastic and dollar store jewelry in them (its what we get locally). I have had some decent luck at hard sales. Bought a box of kitchen junk for a dollar and in the bottom of it were a salt and pepper set carved out of ivory.
I would have bought everything shown except the Haskell earrings, gaudy...but after seeing this episode I would make thst purchase. I'm learning I don't have to purchase what I like. I just love these epidodes!
One time on a beach i found a custom white gold tennis bracelet with around 15 small diamonds lining it. Since I was only 17 everyone was trying to offer me tiny fractions of its value at $100-$200 and the best offer only being $450. I ended up disassembling it and selling the bits of white gold whenever I needed cash, and I still have all the stones. It was truly a shameful waste of something that wouldve likely been worth thousands but it was my only way to pull the most value.
Gosh Doc. LORI. This particular show was thrilling to me. Listening to all your great stories is one of my favorite things to do. Ok let's face it. I love all your shows with going shopping right to the antique shops and malls. I would love to go shopping for real with you in person. I think this is your future! Sharing with us your videos through u tube.
We love you dr lori ❤and thank you for what you do, I can't wait to get a private appraisal from you,( I got the box for my grandmother s painting, also your loop and diamond tester)🐾🐕🦺🐈
Oh my gosh!!! I have a ring that looks just like that. It came from my great grandmother, who lived in the 1800’s! Thank you for the information Dr. Laurie!
Dr. Lori, will replacing old wood backing on frames on family photos diminish the frames value? I don't want old family photos to brown any further than they already have.
Yay...I have a few Haskel pieces..I had no idea they were worth that much! Thank you Dr. Lori, this is priceless information! I better get these up for sale in my online shop..& re-evaluate the items I do have up for sale..at the moment they are all priced well under $20! 🤦♀️🤭
The value on the Miriam Haskell earrings blew my mind! 🤯🤯 Because I noticed a lot of green “stuff” on them and thought that would impact the value. Is that a kind of tarnish? My question is how would you clean them?
Hi there, I am new to the channel & I loveit already. I am learning much more new information. I have been learning about rings, gems & diamonds for the past few months! I have collected a few for a good bargain but what can I do to sell them or get money for them? I'm not sure where to take them or where to sell them? Thank you! 😊
Welcome! Have you watched my videos that focus on reselling? Have you read my articles on my website at www.DrLoriV.com where I talk about reselling? I also offer classes on reselling.
I have a beautiful vintage necklace and matching screw on earrings. The stones are purple. I've no idea the value if any but would love to find out. Between my mother and MIL I now have a lot of costume jewelry. Love it.
Hi Dr. Lori, I have 2 pieces that I want to ask you about. One is Craig Boland. It is a block of wood and looks like jewelry box. Another one is very heavy lion sitting mark Barney. Thank you very much.
I saw those baseballs on your table my dad was friend with Los Angeles Dodgers back in the 60s and had whole team sign numerous ones well someone broke in our house and of all things that's what they took My brother still has a photo of him in the dug out sitting on Sandy Koufax lap👍
I just got a chain that is marked 24k P.G. and I don't know what it means. I read somewhere that is means "pure gold" but I don't think it does, and I don't think it's even really 24k because the chain is really sturdy, and I know gold is soft. Is that just another mark for gold plated?
@@DrLoriV thanks so much. I'm going to check it out. I love your live videos, but I got a second job and have been missing them. Hope you have a good Thanksgiving
Depends on the piece. People use my online appraisal reports to help them sell. The reports include a location where a similar piece sold and for how much. This helps answer your question for a specific item. One person used my report to help them sell a plate for over $1,000. They bought the plate at a yard sale for $1.
I have (what my mom says) is an Amethyst ring she got from her Dad for graduation from high school. It is a light purple, but after having it on for awhile it turns a light blue! Is this possible??
I have an item that is made by a jeweler and it is a glass looking marble in a brass or gold tone original by Robert and what I have read is it might be really rare.... it is a fish on a brass or gold looking stand I need know where to find out the value?? who would know I live in small town lakeozarks
I watch videos on my phone while I'm doing other things. I love Dr. Lori because I've been a reseller for over a decade. I turn on this video, I hear Dr. Lori talking about this ring while I'm making coffee across the kitchen, so I turn to look at this beautiful ring she's describing... But I don't see the ring, all I see is Dr Lori. I keep watching... No ring... She tells us the value ("what a bargain!") still no ring... And she's on to the next item. But I NEVER SAW the ring! So I have to REWIND in order to see what she just spoke about for 3 minutes. Why? Because the item is only displayed on the screen for ONE SECOND in the beginning of the video segment! I'm sure I'm not the only viewer frustrated by this. I ask you kindly, Dr. Lori, and especially your VIDEO EDITOR - PLEASE SHOW THE FEATURED ITEM FOR MORE THAN ONE SECOND! Thank you!
Thank you for your comment. Of course, the producers do not only put an object up for viewing for only one second. If you are doing other things while you are watching the videos, isn't it possible that you missed it? I wish you continued success in your reselling.
