This is the best Xbox 360 slim take apart guide on RUclips. Every other guy makes you break the plastic rivets on the side panels and no other guide shows you the secret pinhole on the back to easily separate the top and bottom. Thank you this helped me restore my $5 find of an Xbox 360 slim man that paste was super dry almost powder.

i seen many videos as you say they don't give you full detail or how to put it back together the parts that are removed. i apologize for the back audio quality or old video quality i'm working on improve the quality everything that i ear from youtube goes back into getting better quality for my viewers.
the sad part is that i'm trying to do some positive action in the youtube community and i get very little view or subs , but if i make a video on for example "how to destroy your laptop or consoles " i would get millions of hit :/
but i ratter keep it educational and positive actions.
i appreciate your awesome and motivational feedback.

Around 8 years ago, i repaired my console at a local shop and they never used the secret pinhole in the back lol, they forced the casing and it has some scratches in the plastic panels, with thhis video i opened the console very smoothly and without having to force anything. thank you again for sharing the knowledge and making a great video straight to the point.

Not only do you show how to take it apart and clean, but you show HOW to put it back together when finished. I watched a guide video and I had only an hour left and it took me ABOUT an hour and a half to take it apart. But the video didn’t tell me how to reassemble it which my brain doesn’t work right let’s be honest, so I had to leave for work and I only had an hour to put it back. So I had to find a video reversal program but that didn’t seem to help me without going “wait didn’t this just happen?” “Wait is that what I do?” Thank you so much 🙏🏻

Thank you for this video! Just repasted a new-to-me (but previously... "Well-loved") 360 Slim. It would seemingly at random freeze, getting stuck on a glitched out screen. I went back and forth a couple of times, but ultimately decided to repaste. This video was amazing to follow, and so far everything seems okay. I'll have to edit this comment after I've gotten some hours in my games!
I was hoping to finish my 360 backlog before the Xbox Marketplace closes later this year 😅

recommend you to get always a security torx they are compatible with normal torx, here are few:

I took it apart to the point where i could see the components, and dusted them all off, i sadly cant and didn’t repaste it, because sadly i dont have thermal paste currently.

i always ask my self the same question, having a laptop or console its like having a car, a car needs a oil change and maintenance to run optimal, it would still run without oil change but it will have more risk of breaking down.
same on consoles and laptops , thermal paste and fan oil and cleaning its a service that must be done every year.
for example take a look at this ps4s and if your jaw still not dropped then i would change the channel name :P

    I need help!
My Xbox 360 slim’s eject button (or touch sensor) isn’t responding (not making the ‘ting’ sound it does). It’s not making any noise whatsoever. The disc tray is also not ejecting and keeps blinking the light.
Can I get any help? Much appreciated!

i'm thinking of a fan clean up, i've never taken apart any console or have any general knowledge on it, or even the tools to do so. I've taken a 360 controller apart but for some unknown reason it went kind of bad since the controller's interior parts shake around when the controller moves, although still functions technically, hence i'm scared about taking the console apart. Owned it since 2012, never opened ever.
Is there a guide to cleaning the fan without taking it apart?

Regarding your question, This service aims to prevent the problems you are currently facing. I will provide you with a set of instructions to follow, which have a 90% chance of repairing your issue. It is crucial to follow these steps exactly as described:
Begin by removing the motherboard completely, including the heatsink and all other components.
Place the motherboard on a stable wooden table.
Ensure that the room temperature is normal (around 24 degrees Celsius). It is better if the room is warmer, but avoid turning on any air conditioning units or fans.
Take a hair dryer and set it to maximum heat and medium air flow.
Carefully clean off any old or new thermal paste from the GPU and CPU.
Position the hair dryer above the GPU and CPU, maintaining a distance of 1 inch, and let it blow hot air for approximately 10-15 minutes.
Allow the motherboard to cool down naturally. Do not move or touch the board for at least 15 minutes (preferably 25 minutes).
Apply new thermal paste, reassemble the components, and install the motherboard back into your system.
Hopefully, this process will resolve your issue.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Cheers!

regarding your question: YES , you can repair this at home, remove the motherboard and place it on a wood surface, and make sure there is no air-condition or fan blowing to the board. then you want to grab a hair dryer and set it to the max heat and medium fan and hold it straight over GPU for 10mi and then same 10 min over CPU.
after let it cool down at room temp don't move or touch the board for 15min. repaste and enjoy.

regarding your question: i would not recommend you to do it for consoles, its risky and if you do it you only get 4-5c difference and trust me in the consoles its not a big deal, if it was a pc CPU sure. we have done it delidding the console cpu and not worth it.
